Hi, I am mom with 15 days boy. I didn't have lactation so doctor suggested me to take lactare capsules 2-2-2. As long as I need. Is it safe to take it for long term. Because if I stop taking I am not getting lactation. Please suggest me any others tips or ideas for increasing my supply. I want breast feed my baby. Even I am using capsules night times I am using formula for him. Please suggest any idea I want to feed my baby completely without formula.

Hi. Tab lactare is safe to use .You could use satavarex powder in milk twice or thrice a day according to your need .both the products are ayurvedic and safe .and could be taken long term till lactation is well established. Mist importantly breast feed your baby day and night .then only your lactation will continue .even without medications.

Hi She should have an exclusive breast fed milk for her first six months of life. Kindly give her your breast feed only during this period. You can consult a good homoeopathic doctor near you for her cough and other complaints. Homoeopathy is free from steroids and any side effect. Tc.

My 6 years girl getting breast pain one side and they are bit big in size compared to other, please guide me whether I have see Gynecology or pediatrics. Appreciate your early reply.

Appearance of breast is called Thelarche . If no other signs of puberty are there like hair in groin or armpits, then it is not considered as precocious puberty, and there is no need to do anything. Advice to stop pressing, rubbing or massage.

My son is suffering from TICS. Which Doctor should I consult - neurologist, psychiatrist or a homeopathy doctor?

These movements, known as tics and twitches, often affect the eyelids or face. They can, though, occur anywhere in the body. In most instances, tics and twitches are harmless and temporary. In some cases, though, they may be caused by a tic disorder. A neurologist can help

As summer approaches, try to give ample water to your kids. Avoid dehydration, avoid multiple problems.

I have 7yrs old son and he is suffering with adenoid transcle since 3yrs and he is taking prescribed medicines, now doctor advice is to go for surgery. Is it compulsary for the children. Once our doctor said that these transcles will cure automatically when the boy grows. Doubts ------------- 1) if the surgery is necessary how much it cost 2) after the surgery throat is effected or not 3) does it effect the other child.

Although adenoid regress with age but once adenoids are infected and enlarged enough to cause airway narrowing surgery is only curative treatement. Now a days done with new techniques like microdebrider/coblator with minimal bleeding and pain.

Fever In Children - Parenting Tips For It!

Fever In Children - Parenting Tips For It!

Fever in children is a very common phenomenon, but still parents absolutely dread it. It can completely break your heart to suddenly see a happy, healthy child not getting up from the bed. Your first instinct when that thermometer crosses that dreaded 100 degrees F is to rush to the doctor for an immediate cure. That is probably the best remedy as a doctor can often catch additional signs of any disease that you may miss out on. Beyond that, here is how you can understand about fever in children better and how you can help. Technically, your child has fever when the body temperature crosses 100.4 degrees F.

Some children manage to stay active even then, but slowly get bogged down with muscle pain or other accompanying symptoms like cold, diarrhea, vomiting etc.

  • Causes: Fever is normally caused by the body's reaction to fighting an infection. (That is why most doctors say it's a sign of a robust immune system). When the body's natural defense system is stimulated, the core inner temperature rises, thereby making it harder for the bacteria and viruses that caused the infection to survive. Most fever subside on their own but that's a tough thing to accept as a parent who only wants to see their child up and running as soon as possible.
  • What you can do: Keep an eye on that temperature obviously. You need to find a doctor the moment the fever crosses the threshold temperature (101+ for less than three months olds, 102+ for 3-6 month olds and over 102 for older children). You should also consult a doctor if there are accompanying symptoms or if you've given a dose of Paracetamol but the fever shows no sign of subsiding. It might happen at midnight and beyond, when no regular pediatrician is unavailable. So it is best to find out which hospital has an emergency center capable of handling such eventualities near your home.
  • Fever medications: It is super important for parents to know that fever medications must be given in the correct dose at the right times based on a child's weight, age, and overall health. An overdose can lead you straight to the emergency room. Don't mix a cold/cough medication that also has a fever medication in it.
  • Home remedies: Encourage your child to drink as much fluids as possible to prevent dehydration. Some doctors advise complete body sponging to bring down the temperature and this can be done as long as it doesn't cool the body too suddenly (there are contradictory notes on this practice, so do consult you doctor before your do this).

As parent, it is important you equip yourself with the right knowledge before you provide treatment to your child.

And he don't know how to eat with his hands some one should make him to eat daily. How to reduce it. How to recover him as a normal child. Please suggest me.

Dear Lynbrate user Before labelling him hyper active . What is the atmosphere at home does the parents too shout or any other family member do it. Has he been pampered during his learning stage it means he was fed by family members or maid.how is at school. Many things depend on the environment in the family. What is the status of his health may be he is anaemic and is irritable. Get his CBC done. Hope this helps.
