My voice is not clear to understood its raucous or harsh voice, especially when pronouncing words like three, tree etc. Many people are not able to understood what I am speaking sometimes I have to speak with very slow speed to make people understand. I could understand your problem. For this you have to consult a Speech Therapist first in your city as it's going to be ATLEAST 2 to 3 months Therapy. A visit to a Dentist is important as your Teeth problem should be fixed if possible. This may be one of the causes which has reduced your confidence. To evaluate your Voice you have to consult the Speech Therapist.

I would also like to mention that my nose is blocked during each night and I have to use Otrivin spray to decongest it. Please advise.

First step is to get an ent checkup next to get a hearing test done and it is the audiologist who will try different hearing aida and then take your earcanal size and fit the hearing aids according to your response. Now if the dealers have employed an audiologist it may be a part of their business.

It's a very comman problem. You need to practice at home with your friends, and go ahead. Just do it once and the fear will disappear. It's not a speech problem.

Masters in Speech Pathology and Audiology

You are right. Normally we don't stammer when we sing or say a poem or even if we act like some one or imitate some body. As you are conscious about how or the way you speak not what you are speaking. Go to a experienced speech therapist.

I have tongue tie. I cannot speak faster in public conversation. I have to apply lot of pressure in my tongue. I want to know whether tongue tie release will help me in my speech? How much it is effective?

Masters in Speech Pathology and Audiology
Speech Therapist, Gurgaon
Hi lybrate-user. If the tongue tie is partial and you can articulate sounds like t and d correct then generally a surgery is not advised. Its better to get tongue tie removed in childhood as speech sounds are developed normally without help. Anyways if you are not comfortable then go to ent surgeon.
