Sir the need for surgery does not depend on the size but the severity of symptoms. However in cases with blood in urine, retention of urine, or damage to kidneys suspected due to prostate, surgery may be required irrespective of symptoms. Urine culture should be sterile prior to the surgery in case it is required.

Dear lybrate-user, the first and most likely possibility is Urinary Tract Infection. You should get urine routine and microscopy examination done. You will need antibiotics for curing the problem and will have to increase fluid intake.

Dear Mr. lybrate-user, the symptoms may reflect, UTI or Bladder Outlet Obstruction. I would strongly recommend alpha blockers to see the effect. A personal visit for examination is also required. Prostate enlargement can cause recurrent infections and this kind of pain.

Madam, please get a urine routine examination done. Your symtpoms are suggestive of Cystitis which is common after intercourse. You will require antibiotics for relief. I would recommend that you also get a urine culture done to know which antibiotic will be the best for you.

Having stone in left kidney Since 4 years Size: 11 mm Allergic to sour food It's very painful.
Stones as small as 11 mm can be dealt effectively by lithotripsy (eswl). It is the least invasive management for such stones if the kidney is adequately functioning. Leaving this problem unaddressed will lead to an increase in the size of the stone and even irreversible damage to the kidney. Plenty of fluids and dietary restrictions will be valuable.

Sperms and urine have a common passage out through the urethra. In presence of weakness of the bladder neck, certain medications and when urine is given immediately after ejaculation for analysis, sperms can be found in the urine sample. Usually it is not a cause of worry, but presence of pus cells if more than 2 may require culture and sensitivity analysis of urine and treatment with antibiotics.

Lower urinary tracts symptoms in association with dysuria can also result from conditions like overactive bladder and interstitial cystitis. If the urine tests do not suggest infection then you may require more tests like an ultrasound of the abdomen along with assessment of post void residual urine to see if there is any stone or abnormal thickening of your urinary bladder. Subsequently some medicines to tackle your problem can be suggested.

This is a very common situation and your mother will require investigations for her medical condition. Weight reduction, bland diet along with plenty of fluids and salt restriction will benefit her. She will also require a cardiac checkup and renal checkup. Abdominal sonography will throw more light on the size and location of the stones, based on which further treatment can be suggested.

Dear lybrate-user, these are very vague symptoms and can be best dealt with in person. A urine analysis along with blood tests will be required to rule out any infections that you may be suffering from.

Dear lybrate-user, the passage of stone may bring along certain problems like injury to the urethra while passing or residual infection in the urinary tract. Since you report that most of your tests are normal, you may need to undergo a uroflowmetry examination to see if you are voiding well. Eventually some medications that reduce bladder irritability and edema can be initiated.

Since you have already consulted many specialists and found no relief, a detailed analysis of symptoms and investigations will be required. In most of such cases chronic backache is often the culprit and addiction to pain killers is the cause of gastric ulcers and erosions. Back strengthening exercises and plenty of fluids can be helpful for you. The cycle of chronic pain has to be broken witl analgesics and anti-inflammatory agents.

Transplanted kidneys can work for 10 to 15 years or even more if good care is taken. A repeat transplant with interim dialysis is possible before going for a retransplant. There are many factors on which the life of kidney depends and your nephrology team will be the best source for this information.

Dear user it is highly likely that muscular pain is the cause of your symptoms rather than kidney stones. If you have any urinary symptoms like burning in urine it could indicate the presence of stones. If not all you may need is a muscle relaxant and analgesic. Ultrasound of the abdomen and urinalysis can help solve the doubts. Protien shakes take time to mix with water or milk. Using a blender is a great option.

Small stones like these can usually be dealt with on a conservative basis. Plenty of fluids and syrups that inhibit formation and progression of stones are recommended. An ultrasound examination can be helpful in ruling out hydronephrosis.

The treatment for epididymal cyst is conservative therapy till the patient has completed his family. Unless the pain is not bothersome surgical excision is not indicated. However if the family has been completed and the symptoms are severe and bothersome, excision of the cyst can provide relief in most cases.

I have been suffering from stones in kidney for last two years please suggest me better treatment.
The treatment would depend upon the size of the stones. Small stones less than 5-7 mm can be managed essentially with adequate fluids and dietary precautions. Your query could be better solved if a complete description of your ultrasound scan and symptoms was available to the treating doctor. Stones larger than 1 cm usually require some surgical intervention after thorough investigations.

It is natural for the prostate to enlarge with age as a result of male hormones like testosterone and dht acting on it. Treatment for enlarged prostate is needed only when you have symptoms. Urologist is the appropriate doctor to consult. Once some basic investigations are done an alpha blocker is likely to be advised.

Pain in the cyst may be suggestive of infection. This can be controlled with antibiotics and analgesics. But subsequently once the pain is relieved you may want to get it excised due to cosmetic concerns. Otherwise scrotal sebaceous cysts can also be observed over time.
