I am not getting sleep early what are the possible reasons doctor?

Fellowship in Primary Care Cardiology, MBBS
General Physician,
I am not getting sleep early what are the possible reasons doctor?
Hello and thanks for writing. I can understand your concern and would try to help you in the best possible way. Sleep problems may be due to factors like stress, overindulgence in television and mobiles, not getting enough exercise and improper meal timings. I suggest you look into these factors and try to improve them. Some advices for you are; 1. Do not take any stress. Try yoga and other relaxation techniques to reduce stress. 2. Maintain a proper routine and give time to physical activity like sports and reduce tv and mobile times 3. Take a nutritious meal and keep meal timings long enough and regular. 4. Take a walk after having your meals and do not go to bed directly after meals.

I'm 42 years old I have eosinophilic fasciitis. Help.?

Fellowship in Primary Care Cardiology, MBBS
General Physician,
Hello and thanks for writing. I can understand your concern and would try to help you in the best possible way. Eosinophilic fasciitis requires a course of steroids as a treatment. Steroid treatment has to be taken under a doctor's supervision only so as to monitor its effects as well as keep a watch over side effects. I suggest you consult a doctor who would begin you on steroids after a baseline assessment. You also have to be in touch with the doctor and follow up regularly.

Hello and thanks for writing. I can understand your concern and would try to help you in the best possible way. Migraine which is occuring daily can be very debilitating for the patient. I suggest she should be put on a long term management plan which would address acute episodes of pain as well as prevent the attacks from happening. For this she may need some medications and physical therapy in form of yoga and other relaxation techniques. I suggest you consult a physician who would investigate her baseline parameters and begin a management plan for her.

General Physician,
Hello and thanks for writing. I can understand your concern and would try to help you in the best possible way. Loose motions since 8 days may be due to various conditions like a gastroenteritis, amoebiasis or any parasite infection. I would recommend that you need to get investigated for the condition which would include some tests. I would also require a complete history from you regarding the condition. I would suggest you consult a doctor. In the meanwhile you should drink plenty of fluids along with adequate salts, high fibre diet and add probiotics in your diet. These simple things may help you.

Fellowship in Primary Care Cardiology, MBBS
General Physician, Gurgaon
Hello and thanks for writing. I can understand your concern and would try to help you in the best possible way. Viral fever most often does not require any specific treatment and improves by conservative management only. However there are some red flag symptoms to look for: 1. Fever extending beyond 7 days without relief 2. Confusion, lethargy or neurological changes 3. Fever progressing to hypothermia 4. Rashes over body 5. Difficulty in urination in these cases further evaluation and investigations are required so that appropriate causes may be treated. It will require a doctor's consultation. You can drink plenty of fluids and do other things to get symptomatic benefit.
