Sir I am 24 years old. I had undergone a hernia surgery in Mar 2011. After it hernia disappeared and hydrocele appeared. But it is not painful. For the last 6 years its size is same. Should I go for a surgery or it can be left same. Please suggest me sir. What consequences will I face if it will be left untreated.

PGDMLS, PGDHHM, LLB, PhD Surgery, MS - General Surgery

Firstly, it may or may not be a consequence of the hernia surgery. Secondly since it is asymptomatic for 6 years, it can be left alone. No problems getting an ultrasonography done.

Some soddening of nipple does occur off & on while feeding a baby. Observe proper breast hygiene, before & after the feed. Keep the nipple dry. You may apply some soothing cream after the feed (to be removed with clean water before the next feed). Avoid rough handling of the nipple. If these measures don't work, consult a general surgeon.

Generally your symptoms are suggestive of fibroadenosis. This is a harmless condition related to hormonal activity at this age. All that you need is a good breast support (a tight bra or sometimes even a crepe bandage around the chest). Medicines are generally not recommended unless it is very troublesome. If breast support doesn't help in 3-4 days, consult a general surgeon. Occasionally a fine needle biopsy or ultrasound / mammography may be required.

Suffering from anal pain. There are some extra skin type things around anus. Pain increase when passing stool. What should I do?

This may be due to piles or fissure, with some degree of constipation. I would suggest some general measures like 1. Take lot of vegetables & fruits in your diet 2. Avoid chillies & spices 3. Take lot of fluids 4. Avoid constipation 5 periodically do anal exercises (alternately contracting & relaxing the buttocks, anal area & upper thighs) 6. Take sitz bath 3-4 times a day. This means sitting in a tub of warm water & doing anal exercises 7. Antiworm tablets (eg zentel) once a week for 4-6 weeks 8. Apply some oil or cream on the skin around the anal verge with gentle massage, once or twice a day 9. Atleast once get it examined by a general surgeon to rule out specific conditions.

It may or may not be a sign of cancer. An ultrasound examination nd a check up by a general surgeon will clear the picture. If required a fine needle biopsy may be required.

Most likely it is fibroadenosis of breast. Breast support by a tight bra or crepe bandage might help. General surgeon should be consulted. He might get ultrasound or mammography or fine needle biopsy done. Sometimes hormone treatment might be advised.

I am 24 years old male. Since two days I am experiencing severe pain in the anus. I guess its an acne that has come up on the anal orifice. I can barely move. Due to the pain I cannot even use the toilet for both obvious reasons. The pain is distracting me and the immense pain while the anus gets squeezed is unbearable. Please guide. Thank you.

This looks like anal fissure. Take sitz bath 3 to 4 times a day. This means sitting in a basin of warm water. Also do anal exercises during sitz bath nd even otherwise. This means alternately contracting nd relaxing the anal area between your buttocks. Also increase leafy vegetables fruits salad in diet. Take plenty of fluids. Avoid spices nd chillies. If constipated take some laxative or isabgul in warm milk. Also get examined by a general surgeon.

You need not worry about ejaculation if the fluid content is less. Ignore it. However, for the prostate must take lot of fluids in day time & restrict fluid late evenings & night so that you are not disturbed at night.

From 3 years I have gerd and used to go to toilet 4-5 times in morning maybe IBS, 10 days back I took Himalaya bael for some days, I go to toilet only once but feel like my rectum is still full for whole day, endoscopy was done in 2013 and gerd was told, should I go for colonoscopy for anal pain.

You seem to be having gerd plus fissure / piles. The general measures I would suggest are 1. It could be a polyp or prolapsed pile. The proper option is to get a physical examination by a general surgeon to see what it is. You may require surgery once a proper diagnosis has been made. The general measures I would suggest are 1. It appears to be prolapse pile or fissure with sentinel pile or a combination of both. A general surgeon must examine you to arrive at the correct diagnosis & plan treatment, which may include the option of surgery. The general measures I would suggest are 1. Your problem looks like fissure in ano or anal piles or both. Physical examination by a general surgeon will confirm the diagnosis. The general measures I would suggest are 1. She have a breast problem once in a month getting pain can't press, can't touch? What should she do to cure?

The limited information provided indicates a condition called fibroadenosis. This is due to hormonal influence and becomes more during or just before the monthly menstrual cycle. Of course a physical examination by a general surgeon is a must to confirm the diagnosis and rule out other conditions. As general measures, breast support with a tight bra or crepe bandage can be helpful symptomatically. Painkiller medicines are of little help.

This pain and irritation during defecation could be due to piles or fissure. It will need to be physically examined. However, anal problems improve with general measures but may require surgery. The general measures I would suggest are 1.
