I am suffering from pharyngitis since 2 months, taking ayurvedic medicine with honey for the last 20 days. Recovery is only 10%,is there any complications like cancer or any such thing. I am asking just because it converts into chronic. I am not having any problem while eating or swallowing ,no swelling. How much time it would take to fully recover.

You maybe suffering from allergic rhinitis and pharyngitis. You need to avoid the cause of your allergies and also take anti allergy medications. Please consult for prescription. If you have an infection and have fever you will need to do a course of antibiotics. For now do warm saline gargle and steam inhalation 3 times a day.

Don't worry, cosmetic acne can be reduced and controlled - use tea tree face wash and toner twice daily. Use aha glow face wash once in a day. Use sunscreen with spf 30 daily. Use natural face pack of multani mitti and lemon 2 times a week. You can also use apple cider vinegar for 5 minutes after washing your face and splash it clean with water. Most important is diet- do not eat junk, eat more vegetables and fruits especially with vitamin c.

Yes Sitting more time before computer is not good. Do Pranayama meditation regularly with good exercise take good diet.

I am suffering with constant dehydration resulting diarrhea. Body getting overheated repeatedly. Visited a nephrologist, and in tests uric acid levels are bit high and found small renal calculi in both kidneys. Doctor suggested those stones might have been formed due to excess uric acid levels and prescribed febuxostat. When I asked him about continuous dehydration and fatigue, he told me to visit a endocrinologist.

Hello lybrate user- diarrhea generally occurs due to improper food habits which result in indigestion ultimately. Formation of kidney stone is also an outcome of indigestion. Try these ayurvedic medicines - a) dabur bilagel 1 tsp twice daily. B) hinguashtak churna 1/2 tsp twice before meals. C) tab laghu sootshekhar ras 1 tab twice daily in between meals. D) drink boiled water and eat moong dal khichadi. F) avoid non veg, rice oriented products and heavy diet.

I have severe stiff neck and shoulder pain. Postural problem, but it makes me giddy. Head rush too. Shown it to many doctors, no relief. Had myroil 8 mg, diclofenac and I exercise regularly. The pain has been there since September. Even physio didn't help.

Get your vitamin d levels checked and get an x-ray of the neck. If there is pain radiating to the limbs with numbness only then get mri.

Hi doc. After my first gym workout on 2nd day there was pain in my arms and I can't straighten them as before but on 3rd day there was swelling on my biceps and elbows although the pain has been reduced but swelling is still there. Is the issue I have to worry or it is a common problem. Should I continue gym or not. Please help.

Pimples and acne some don? ts: 1. Wash your hands frequently and try not to touch your face too often. 2. Keep your hair from falling on the face or forehead. 3. Avoid the use of make-up; try to let the pores breathe. 4. Don? t squeeze or pinch the pimples as the membrane gets ruptured and causes the sebum and bacteria spread. 5. Don? t wash your face more than twice because the more we wash the sebaceous glands become more active and produce more sebum. Remedies: 1. Instead of soap use powder made from dried orange peels or use a paste of fresh orange or lemon peels. 2. Apply fresh aloe vera gel on the pimples, it will soothe and heal the pimples. 3. Garlic is an excellent cure for acne - a freshly sliced pod can be gently applied on the pimple or a juice of garlic can be used, and left on for at least hour. Although this stinks it is a pretty effective method. 4. A blend of honey and limejuice can prove to help with constant usage. 5. Change your pillow cover every day so that the infection has no way of getting back to you. 6. Gently apply some ice on your face after a warm water bath so that the pores close.

Hello, Gaining weight is a slow process which requires patience and dedication! It not only depends upon the amount of food you consume daily, but also about eating Sensibly, depends upon your genes, your body's proper metabolism, assimilation and absorption, the levels of stress/ tension in your life, and any underlying medical condition you have! The food what and how you eat, makes the difference! For increasing your weight, concentrate on the below points (if you don’t have any medical condition) which helps in gaining weight in a right way without harming your body. - Consume more healthy fats. Foods containing healthy fats are full of nutrients and also high in calories, making them a great option for weight gain. Foods containing plant fats should be your first option - this includes items such as nuts, seeds, peanut butter, avocados and olive oil. Foods containing healthy animals fats include lean meats and full fat dairy products - although if you have high cholesterol, you should probably stick to low-fat options. -Eat more protein. Good sources of protein include lean meat, fish and poultry, in addition to eggs, whole grains, dairy products and legumes. -Drink more calories. Try drinking a large glass of orange juice in the mornings (along with your normal breakfast). Drink a glass or two of full-cream milk throughout the day. -Have 6 small and frequent meals in a day. -Gain muscle mass. It's a good idea to continue to exercise while you attempt to gain weight the healthy way. Strength training includes working with weights and performing exercises such as squats, deadlifts, bench presses, bicep curls, crunches, chin-ups and leg curls. Just keep in mind that the more you exercise, the more calories you will need to consume to replace those you lost while working out. -Quit smoking. As it suppresses the appetite. -Stay healthy. The most important thing through the entire weight gain process is to stay healthy - eating a balanced diet and continuing to exercise throughout. -Take enough of rest and sleep for rejuvenation of the cells and tissues. -Think Positive which will help you in achieving your target of gaining weight. -Avoid taking unnecessary stress/ tension. Medication: Take Schwabe’s Alfaalfa Tonic and Five Phos. Both thrice daily ½ an hour before meals for 3 months. Hi here are 6 ways to gain weight healthily: 1. Eating 5 to 6 meals a day in order to gain weight, start eating 5-6 meals a day by breaking them into parts. Eating a lot at once may cause indigestion if the body fails to absorb all nutrients. Eat in small amounts, even if you are not hungry and there will be an increase in appetite from day to day. The aim should be to have a generously portioned breakfast, lunch and dinner, as well as two to three snacks in between. 2. Start weight training if you build your muscles through weight training, it will convert the extra weight into lean body mass and also stimulate your appetite. The extra muscle increases the rate of metabolism. When you start exercising you will often experience extreme muscle soreness but it goes away in 3-5 days. 3. Load up on protein besides weight training, a protein-rich diet can help you gain mass. Eating a meal heavy in protein shortly after finishing exercise can be highly effective in adding extra pounds to your body. However, a diet focused only on lean protein is not helpful. It is important to make sure that your diet has plenty of fat in it. Eat foods rich in protein like cheese, meat, eggs, etc to gain weight in a healthy manner. 4. Workout your entire body a lot of people focus only on training the muscles on their arms, chest and shoulders and this is a grave error. Firstly, it will give you a disproportionate body; and it will make you prone to injuries. Therefore, it's important to work out the entire body for a complete and balanced look. 5. Drink your calories to reach the calorie requirement only by eating may be tough. Drinking milk, milkshakes or protein shakes with little or no sugar can be an effective way to load up on the calorie requirements. 6. Be patient and believe in yourself gaining weight quickly in a healthy manner is unrealistic. Every body type is different and it takes months to gain weight. Living healthy by eating the right diet will increase your strength. It is also important to keep following the routine even if you don't see any gains. Caution: junk food and fried foods must be avoided; although have a tendency to add more fat to your body but are very low in vitamins and minerals which are essentially required to keep you really fit. It can relieved 60% .. Go for fasting once a week. You can go for absolute fasting or rely on a liquid diet to digest ama (toxin). Fasting should be followed by hot fomentation or by taking a bath with lukewarm water or steam bath. After fasting and fomentation, mix powdered long pepper, black pepper and dried ginger in equal quantities and take 1 teaspoon of this powdered mix with lukewarm water twice a day. This will help you restore your digestive fire. Take one tablespoon of castor oil before going to bed, once or twice a week. It helps in cleansing ama (toxin) build up and balancing vata. Mix equal quantities of powdered fenugreek seeds, turmeric and ginger powder. Take one teaspoon daily in the morning and evening. For dry fomentation of the affected joints, take a cloth and fold it into four, fill it with hot and sand make a potli (bag) out of it. Use this bundle for the fomentation of different joints. This is very helpful in reducing pain and swelling.

HI Lybrate USER…. 1) avoid oily, spicy, junk, fermented and stale foods…. 2) sleep upto 10-10.30 pm…. 3) avoid coffee and tea…. A) take 2 tsf of SHATAVARI KALP with 250 ml of lukewarm MILK, in the morning instead of break fast… B) take 40 ml of AUDUMBARAVLEHA after meals…. C) take 2-2 tablets of LEELAVILAS RASA and CHITRAKADI VATI after meals… D) take 2 tablets of VASANTKUSUMAKAR RASA along with 1 tsf of honey and 30 ml of water, early morning on empty stomach… E) eat 30-40 black currants during meals… Do all these things for 30 days…it gives you good result….
