I am 25 years old married woman. I am 72-78 kg (obesity) and I badly want to reduce my weight and tummy. I am having PCOD with irregular periods. Doctors told me that if you reduce weight that will be solved. After months I am going to abroad with my husband. We were planning for parenthood but just because of this PCOD, I didn't fulfill our dream. I am working as a Medical Coordinator, I mean I used to sit a lot that's why I am having tummy. Please guide me a diet and exercise so that I can trust and do as soon as possible. It will be good to give me chart so that I can stick everywhere. I used to search a lot but different site telling different things. Please advise.

Hi lybrate user. At first you have to follow some basic things so that you get better results in a short period of time. 1) take food twice in a day only 2) drink only 100-150 ml of lukewarm water during meals 3) don't drink water before one hour of meals and don't drink water after meals for one hour 4) avoid late night sleeping habits 5) avoid oily and spicy food intake 6) try to take liquid diet only for few days. A) take 10-10-10 ml of ginger juice, honey and ghee every 2 hourly. B) take one tsf of avipattikar churna and one tsf of lavanbhaaskar churna after meals. Do this for one month and give your valuable feedback. Thanks.

Hello doctor m 26 year old female n m pregnant its my 28th week. Donno y but m having my heart beat so fast from last one month. Got blood test ECG everything. All are fine. But still m having fast heartbeat. N specially after weakup early in the morning my body Isn't supporting me to do anything m feeling sickness laziness fast heart beat. So much hungry. Even some times m this much hungry tht I have to eat some thing around 3 aur 4 am. Its summer time n m I rajasthan feeling more heat than I usually do every year. Sometimes when m standing m feeling like m going to fall down. N m not having any kind of vomiting n nausea:). Plzz tell me is this situation is normal in this stage of pregnancy.

Baby grows maximum during last 3 months after 6 months, your problem is very common. Women do need extra calories for 2. Eat a healthy diet with more simple proteins like milk and curds plus don't forget iron and folic acid tabs and calcium tabs. Get hb tested and cbc. Go for regular antenatals and get bp checked and watch for swellings, take less sugar and salt despite having normal bp and blood sugar levels. Get checked for thyroid profile done along with blood sugar as gestational diabetes can be a remote cause which needs to be ruled out. Continue routine household work unless your doctor suggests bed rest. Do get back with reports.

Last month I was told by a doctor that I had a kidney infection and a urinary tract infection and I had to stay over night so they can treat me and it went away but i've been holding in my bladder and they pain in my back returned and some on my stomach but it's not as severe as it was the last time but I don't have a fever or chills.

Hello- cough at start is wet in nature but later due to the use of modern drugs it get dry and due to that it gets deposited in the lungs and hence causes chest congestion. Try these ayurvedic tips- a) inhale steam of water (mix with few drops of eucalyptus oil in it) to relieve your chest congestion and for expectorating the stuffed cough. B) massage your chest region with luke warm sesame oil daily at evening time. C) use eladi vati 1 tab thrice daily as lozenges. D) use kankasav 2 tsp twice daily with water.

It is due to vibration of tympanic membrane due to loud noise. Don't use ear phone for along period and reduce the sound level.

1.You may be having anxiety or stress. Avoid stress. 2.You need 7-8 hours of sound sleep to remain healthy. 3.Go for regular exercise, Take part in games and sports, 4.Do yoga, meditation and deep breathing exercise like pranayama to calm your mind, control your emotion, relieve anxiety and improve concentration. 5.Adhere to a specific sleep time and regular schedule 6.Take light dinner. 7.Avoid taking tea/coffee at bed time. Have a glass of warm milk at bed time .8. Don’t go to sleep immediately after dinner. Take a small walk after dinner and if possible take hot water bath before sleep. Read a light magazine or interesting book before going to bed 9. Avoid late night. 10. Don’t sleep in day time 11. Don’t take sleeping pill
