Please tell me some effective toothpastes or home remedies to get rid of gum bleeding.

BDS

Please tell me some effective toothpastes or home remedies to get rid of gum bleeding.
There are so many causes of bleeding gums - - brushing too hard - poor oral hygiene. - vitamin deficiency - taking blood thinners or other medications - bleeding or clotting disorders - mouth sores - other medical problems, including diabetes, heart disease, leukemia or scurvy few advice to stop bleeding gums-- - visit to a dentist for professional cleaning once in a year - use a soft toothbrush -- and brush properly! brush your teeth for at least two minutes twice a day and after meals. Hard brushing can further damage the soft tissues of your mouth. - floss at least once a day and be sure to floss beyond the gum line to remove more plaque. - control bleeding by applying pressure to the area with a cold compress. - rinse with salt water to keep the area clean. - Avoid mouthwashes that contain alcohol, which can dry out your mouth.

Sir last 2 month in my mouth have ulcer is not going what should I do please help me.

MDS - Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery
Dentist, Chennai
Sir last 2 month in my mouth have ulcer is not going what should I do please help me.
If the mouth ulcer is causing a lot of pain, gently rub a small ice cube over the spot or rinse your mouth with ice-cold water. You could also chew on a clove bud (lavang) and direct the juice generated to the area where the ulcer is located. Clove buds are a great ingredient to cure sore throat too. To prevent the ulcerated area from getting infected, make it a point to rinse your mouth with a little salt water. Remember, this won’t make the ulcer disappear, but it can help reduce the pain. Honey is a natural humectant. It helps reduce scarring and hastens the process of new tissue growth. This, along with its anti-microbial effect ensures faster healing of the mouth ulcer. Chew a few leaves of tulsi along with some water about three to four times every day. This will help in getting rid of ulcers faster and also have a preventive action against their recurrence. Applying a little coconut oil directly onto the mouth ulcer or chewing some coconut (fresh or dry) helps reduce pain and inflammation and hence, ulcers heal faster. Mix some sugar to crushed khus-khus seeds and consume this mixture for instant relief from ulcers. You could apply a little ghee directly to the ulcerated area, or drink a glass of buttermilk two or three times every day. Mouth ulcers left untreated generally go away in a week or so; with these home remedies, you can expect faster relief. However, if you notice an ulcer in the mouth that is persistently present although it does not cause you any pain, do not neglect it or try to treat it with home remedies beyond a few days. Make it a point to see a doctor soon because often, a painless mouth ulcer is one of the earliest signs of oral cancer.

In short the answer to your question is yes. A half broken tooth can be restored to look like normal in many ways depending upon the damage which has been caused to the tooth and the pulp tissue inside the tooth (nerve as we normally call it.) you may need a root canal treatment if the tooth is broken near the pulp tissue and then the tooth can be restored to look like normal with a tooth coloured composite resin filling or a veneer or a crown as the level of damage may be. You need to visit a dentist at the earliest and get a thorough clinical and radiological examination of the said tooth and discuss the treatment options.

Hello there. It's good that you have described of your freinds problem in detail. Ask your friend to have cool relaxed mind as hiv doesn't spread with oral fluids or saliva. The route of spread is only through semen if there was contact during the oral sex or if there was contact with blood. This is all possible only if the guy she met is been diagnosed with hiv. If you want to have a peace of mind then contact the person with whom intimacy was maintened and have him checked. And yes next time please keep in mind that protective measures go a long way I hope I clarified your doubts if not please buzz me goodluck and god bless

Whenever there is mucous discharge from the nostrils I will suggest you to take one tablet of cetrizine at night and we have to rule out deviated nasal septum after clinical examination.
