I have recently started getting pain while passing stools and sometimes it bleeds as well. The pain remains till first half of the day and subsides by night. The pain is just inside the anus opening and due to which its impossible at times to sit continuously and have to walk to ease out the pain. It feels like as if there is some wound which has come up inside and gets aggravated in morning after passing stools.

Can drinking water with lemon prevent kidney stones? Also, I have been told not to drink city water. What is the best water to drink?

Can drinking water with lemon prevent kidney stones? Also, I have been told not to drink city water. What is the best...
Hi, lemon has a high potassium and citrate content. Both these help in dissolving existing stone and preventing further stone formation. The amount of water is more important than the type of water. In general avoid ro demineralized water. Natural minerals are essential for normal body and kidney function. Reverse osmosis removes most of the minerals from water. Aim to keep urine colour very pale throughout day and night. Keep urine output at least 2.5 litres per day. Avoid drinking a lot of water at one time and not drinking for many hours. Uniform and continuous hydration is important, even at night. Apart from good water intake, daily aerobic exercises, reduction in salt and animal protein intake and adequate calcium intake (reduced calcium intake can increase stone risk due to elevated oxalate) are important to prevent kidney stones. Wish you good health.

First of all passing flatus is normal. Avoid eating foods which form lots of gas like very oily, spicy food and very high protein diet like beans, etc. Also don't remain empty stomach for long time. Eat something every 2 hours like fruit, salads, fibre rich biscuits etc. You can do perineal exercise to strengthen your anal sphincter by repeatedly closing and opening your anal opening while sitting or lying down.

Hi, all the chronic problems including ckd never goes to higher stages all of sudden. It passes through stage 1 & 2 initially. You father may have some symptoms which either he ignored or the symptoms were so subtle that he couldn't able to feel them also, a regular thorough check-up is always recommended to every person annually, which your father might have ignored. He can maintain the same stage he is currently in, if he follows a healthy diet and lifestyle. *********consult a nutritionist*****

Fungal infection or Ring worm. When occurs in groin, called as jock itch. Usually fungal infection is common in moist areas of body like skin folds. It's mostly circular or round in appearance. May be red or black in colour. Treatment depending on the type and severity. Avoid sharing clothes, towels and soap; sweating also increases it. As it has to be differentiated from eczema and infection, its a must to see and confirm the diagnosis for proper treatment. So, please send photos of the affected area for accurate diagnosis and treatment.

I am 55 years. Go urination every hour at night. No diabetes, or prostate problem.
Usually nocturnal frequency of urine is due to enlargement of prostate. You get sonography for the same. And also give urine for complete evaluation.
