For fever she should take complete rest and drink plenty of fluid. Give her 5-6 glasses of some fruit juice and a cup of spinach juice. For thyroid she should continue her regular medicine. Remember it should never be played with. For knee joint problem she should do the following: 1) if over weight that must be brought down. 2) do exercises as suggested by an orthopedic doctor. 3. Apply fomentation from behind the knee. 4) if all these do not work she may need a knee replacement surgery.

Tell her that remaining immobile would lead to osteoporosis and further weaken her bones. Also the muscles can atrophy over a period of time if not put to use. All of this would make her feel even more tired and this would precipitate a vicious cycle. Hope this helps.

My leg is hitted by iron and blood is bleeding more and more pls solve this I have more problem.

Keep your leg elevated for 15-20 mins and do not move about for 1hr. This will help to stop the bleeding. You can even apply cold pack on the wounded area. Take inj. T. T. Today itself. Apply antiseptic lotion on the wound and do a wound dressing.

Apply Hot Fomentation twice daily. Avoid bending in front. Postural Correction- Sit Tall, Walk Tall. Extension Exercises x 15 times x twice daily - lying on tummy, take left arm up for 3 seconds, then bring it down, right arm up for 3 seconds, bring down. Bring right leg up, hold for 3 seconds, bring it down. Then right leg up and hold for 3 seconds and bring it down. Repeat twice a day- 10 times. Bhujang Asana -- Lie flat on your stomach, keeping the palms out, bend the neck backward, take a deep breath and while holding it for 6 seconds, raise the chest up. Release breath and relax your body. Repeat the exercise 15 times twice daily.

For small pain, no need of using neck collar 1.Take one tablet of crocin pain relief sos after food upto a maximum of 3 tablets daily 2.Apply volini gel twice daily 3.Give warm compress locally 4. Take rest If you have recurrent attack of neck pain a) Take X ray/MRI cervical spine to exclude spondylitis and consult orthopedic specialist b) Sometimes It could be due to bad sitting posture while reading or working on computer. Adopt proper sitting posture, put neck rest, use soft pillow while sleeping c) Do physio therapy and neck exercise after consulting physiotherapist.

You have headache on daily basis, just taking painkillers daily is not the solution. In fact with daily intake of painkillers your headache can worsen further into a condition known as medication overuse headache (for details read my health tips). You should get evaluated for the cause of your headache and receive treatment accordingly. Headache at young age can be due to 1. Tension headache: pain is band like constriction at forehead. Simple analgesics like paracetamol will help. 2. Migraine: episodes of severe headache, generally one sided and associated with nausea or vomiting, photophobia / phonophobia. Migraine treatment requires lifestyle modifications and preventive medications. 3. Headache can be due to refractive error (vision defect). Simple vision check and wearing spectacles accordingly can help. 4. Sinusitis: headache with nasal discharge, fever and throat pain. Consult an ent specialist in such cases. Other causes of headache can be cluster headache, tumour, meningitis, cervical spine diseases, and many more. Consult a pain specialist or neurologist for detailed evaluation.

Dear lybrate user, a) take 10-10ml of fresh lemon juice and honey before meal. B) take 2-2 tablets of sutshekhar rasa and aarogyawardhini rasa after meals. C) eat 10 gm of black cumin seeds along with 10 gm of jaggery after meals d) take 30 ml of aloe vera juice and 30 ml of lukewarm water at night before sleep. Do all these things for 15 days. It gives you good result.

Dear, your pain is radiating type like sciatica. You may have history of lifted heavy weight. its fine but you have to consult physio and go to clinic take lumbar traction for immediate pain relief. Take ift therapy also.

If it is the abdomen pain it may be due to colic, it is the common reason can be thought, beside this abdomen pain may be due to many reasons right from the infection, billiary disease urinary tract infection and other, all these needs differentiation.

If you have recurrent attack of headache 1. It could be a tension headache due to anxiety/stress, depression inadequate sleep, low bp/high bp, migraine, prolonged use of cell phone/computer, chronic anaemia, refractive error, chronic sinusitis, organic brain lesion 2. Avoid stress, physical and mental exertion, have adequate sound sleep for 7-8 hours daily in the night 3. Go for regular exercise 4. Practice yoga, meditation and deep breathing exercise to calm your mind, control your emotion and relieve stress 5. Check for refractive error, sinusitis hemoglobin, bp 6. Avoid prolonged use of cell phone/computer 7. Consult neurologist to rule out other causes of headache, if required take a ct scan of head to exclude any brain lesion 8. If it is migraine you have to take migraine prophylactic drug after consulting neurologist.

Home Remedies for Headache
Tip 1
Roast some caraway seeds dry. Tie in a soft handkerchief or muslin cloth and sniff to get a relief from headaches.
Tip 2
Add 2 teaspoons of powdered cinnamon to 1 � cup of milk and boil it for one or two minutes. Add a teaspoon of honey, mix and stir it thoroughly and drink it at least twice a day when suffering from a headache.
Tip 3
Eating a chopped apple sprinkled with salt every morning for at least a week will help cure chronic headaches.
Tip 4
Head massage with rosemary oil or a pain balm that contains menthol is an effective way to ease migraine pain.
Tip 5
Ginger has anti-inflammatory properties and can be used to treat headaches. Add tea leaves and ginger to 1 cup of boiling water. Stir it well and drain the water. Leave till it cools a bit and drink.
Tip 6
Peppermint oil is a soothing remedy for curing headaches and migraines. This fresh smelling oil helps regulate blood flow in the body.
Tip 7
Lavender oil is a useful home remedy for headaches and migraines. The oil can be either inhaled or applied on your head. For inhaling, add 2-4 drops of lavender oil to 3 cups of boiling water and inhale the oil vapors.
Tip 8
Basil is a strong-scented herb used for natural headache treatment. The oil works as a muscle relaxant and is helpful for headaches caused by tension and tight muscles.
Tip 9
Food items like chocolate, sour cream, nuts, peanut butter and caffeinated beverages like coffee, tea or cola, can trigger headaches. Avoid them if they give you a headache.
Tip 10
Mix � cup of apple cider vinegar with � cup of water. Boil the mixture in a covered saucepan. When it boils, remove from heat and leave for a minute. Lift the cover and slowly inhale the steam through your nose. This will provide instant relief from sinus headaches.
Tip 11
Make a warm soup and add some pepper in it. Warm soup will help you to get rid of nasal blockage and will cure headaches.
Tip 12
Fatigue and lack of sleep can contribute to headaches during pregnancy. Make sure you get enough sleep during pregnancy.
Tip 13
Drink plenty of water daily, as it is important to stay hydrated especially when you are pregnant as dehydration can be a big cause of headache.
Tip 14
Apply a hot or cold compress to your forehead and neck to get instant relief from headache.
Tip 15
Physical activity like exercising and daily walk can help prevent headaches during pregnancy.
Tip 16
Eat small regular meals and make sure that you are eating healthy organic food throughout the day. This will keep your blood sugar on an even level, which can prevent headaches.
Tip 17
Make sure that your kid is getting enough sleep as sleeping often resolves headache in children.
Tip 18
Give your child water, juice and other beverages that do not contain caffeine. This may help the headache go away faster

Hello lybrate user I would like to suggest you do regular exercises of back and legs. Exercises should be gentle and smooth but according to physio advice. Whenever your back muscle becomes relax, pain-free & achieve good level of contraction (after fifteen days) then start some stretching and strengthening exs. Definitely exercise would be helpful to you.

Requires detailed examination and investigation. Preliminary investigations suggested: hb, tlc, dlc, esr, blood sugar fasting & pp, uric acid vit d urine r/e x-ray of the affected part. Anyway it may be tried sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding on it. Spring beds, folding beds or thick mattress are harmful use no pillow under the head. Do hot fomantation paracetamol 250mg od & sos x 5days. Caldikind plus 1tab od x10. Do neck, back, knee & general exercises. It may have to be further investigated. Do not ignore it. Let it not become beginning of a bigger problem. Make sure that patient is not allergic to any of the medicines that he/she is going to take. If it does not give relief in 4-5days, inform.

Core stability and its importance.
Are you in your 30s or 40s and frequently experience frequent neck, back or shoulder pain? do you feel tired easily or feel weak inspite of a regular routine of jogging? may your core is to blame for that.
Core muscles of the body include the shoulder, chest, back and pelic muscles. A strong core is quintessential requirement for mainting a fit and healthy body.
Poor core strength leads to poor posture, frequent neck, shoulder and back pain and easy fatiguability in performing physical tasks.
Thus if you want to avoids such health problems you should incorporate some form of core strenghthening exercises. Choose from a mix of swimming, plank, burpee, superman exercises (u can google what these exercises and u'l find plenty of links) in addition to your routine jogging/walkingetc. U'l see plenty of youtube videos on core strengthening.
A strong core leads to a strong and fit body. Happy exercising.
