DO not give anything else other than breast feed. Make her lie on the abdomen whenever there is pain. After feeding make sure that each time burping is done before keeping her down. For medicaiton consult online in private.

Hi. My daughter is 5 yrs old. She had malaria last week. We have completed the doses as directed by the physician. But still she is having fever this morning.

MD - Paediatrics, Diploma in Child Health (DCH)
Pediatrician, Mumbai
Sometimes malaria is resistant. Depends on what medication was used by your doctor. Or malaria may be gone, but because she is weak, she might have picked up some other infection. Kindly go back to the doctor who treated her for malaria and get her checked up.

Well first answer is yes. You can give but in this season citrous food can give rise to upper airway infections. So better first you start things made up of milk which your child is used to (milk. Like kheer raab sheera.

Hi, I had my c section on November 30 2016. My baby happened to aspirate meconium and was very sick. Still she is sick. Since my husband is already 32 years old I wish to have another baby as soon as possible. Can you please tell me the minimum time I can try to conceive again. I had GDM in my last pregnancy. So I would also like to know how to avoid it in next pregnancy. I am 5.5 ft and 73 kg, suggest me ways to reduce it for healthy pregnancy.

Just see to it that your child develops milestone properly and also keep a note of things which he doesn't tolerate and try to avoid such situations and as he is ten months of age than you can start with smashed rice home made.

My baby's fetal hemoglobin is 7.7 is it normal range of a 8 months old and any risk of thalassemia disease.
Please clarify. Is the hemoglobin 7.7 which may be normal. But if the foetal hemoglobin is 7.7% of total hemoglobin this is too high and further testing for thalassemia is essential.

Which is best protein for 3 year old child and best food, energy drink. Please suggest something for that.
Egg is the best protein. A balanced diet that includes carbohydrates (from rice, wheat etc, proteins (from egg, pulses, milk, fish etc, fat (from oil, vitamins and minerals (from vegatables and fruits) in right proportion is the best food. Personally I don't recommend any one particular brand as best energy drink.

Hi, I am wondering how long my 4 months old baby will have vaccinations? Can I take him out?

M.D.( Pediatrics), DCH
Pediatrician,
Hi, I am wondering how long my 4 months old baby will have vaccinations? Can I take him out?
Most important vaccinations will be over by 1.5 - 2 years but periodic re vaccination will be required in few cases for boosting immunity. That should not cause any hurdle for you moving out with baby.
