There is no known scientific eye drops or medicine or any procedure available to remove eye glasses. Lasik lasers can remove your eye power. This can be only done after thorough and proper tests. Or you can use contact lenses.

Yellow Eyes since 1 year indicates many problems and some of the important ones are 1. Liver diseases such as jaundice, hepatitis and cirrhosis 2.Pterygium is a growth on the cornea (the clear front window of the eye) and the conjunctiva , the thin, filmy membrane that covers the white part of your eye (sclera). This growth is noncancerous and is fairly common. It is a triangular-shaped growth of fleshy tissue on the white of the eye that eventually extends over the cornea. This growth may remain small or grow large enough to interfere with vision. A pterygium can often develop from a pinguecula. Some pterygia may become red and swollen on occasion, and some may become large or thick, making you feel like you have something in your eye. If a pterygium is large enough, it can actually affect the shape of the cornea’s surface, leading to astigmatism. 3.Pinguecula is also a growth on the cornea (the clear front window of the eye) and the conjunctiva , the thin, filmy membrane that covers the white part of your eye (sclera). This is Non-Cancerous. It is a yellowish patch or bump on the conjunctiva, near the cornea. It most often appears on the side of the eye closest to the nose. It is a change in the normal tissue that results in a deposit of protein, fat and/or calcium. It is similar to a callus on the skin It is not entirely clear what causes pterygia and pinguecula to develop. Ultraviolet (UV) light from the sun is believed to be a factor in the development of these growths. Other factors believed to cause pterygia and pingueculae are dry eye and environmental elements such as wind and dust. My suggestion for you is to 1.Go for Blood tests empty stomach for CBC,THYROID PROFILE,LIPID PROFILE,LFT 2.Consult an Eye Specialist for a physical examination to rule out Pterygium and Pinguecula

Hello from the symptoms described by you, it could be vision loss for near objects. You might have problems for reading, writing, etc. This is better known as" presbyopia" this happens around the age of 38 to 42 years because of reduction in the elasticity of fibers that suspend the lens and keep it in place. Due to the loss of elasticity, a person feels difficulty for near vision objects. It would be a good idea to get an eye check up done in person and get your refraction (eye power) evaluated. In that way, any other reason for decreased vision would be detected and tackled accordingly.

Normally the number gets stabilise after 18yrs, however if it is still progressing it can be due to progressive myopia or keratconus. Kindly consult ophthalmologist to rule of keratoconus.

Hello. Eyes have many small blood vessels. It is normal and is required for nutrition of eye. Eye redness is most often due to swollen or dilated blood vessels. This makes the surface of the eye look red. There are many causes of a red eye or eyes like infection, allergy. Foreign body in eyes. Some are medical emergencies and some are a cause for concern, but not an emergency. Others are nothing to worry about. Consult your local eye specilist to see what is the cause.

Astigmatism - Ways They Can Be Diagnosed!

Astigmatism - Ways They Can Be Diagnosed!

People may have weak eyes due to a variety of reasons. Astigmatism happens to be one of those reasons. When one is affected by astigmatism, it results in blurry vision. The eye has a part called the cornea, which is the outermost layer of the eye and is responsible for allowing light to enter. When the cornea is not shaped as it should be, it leads to astigmatism.

However, this is not the only condition under which it can occur. In fact, there are two different types of astigmatism. One is corneal astigmatism which is the result of an odd-shaped cornea. The other is lenticular astigmatism, which occurs when the lens has an incorrect shape. More often than not, people are born with astigmatism. However, there are chances of developing this eye disorder after an eye injury or after an eye disease.

How to diagnose?
There are a few ways in which astigmatism can be diagnosed.

  • One of the most popular methods is the visual acuity test. This measures the distance at which a letter is read clearly, as compared to what it should be.
  • Another way is by refraction. By placing lenses in front of the eyes, the way they focus light is measured.
  • The third way by which astigmatism can be detected is by keratometry, also known as topography. Light is focused on the cornea and the reflection is measured to find the curvature of that area.

Treatment options
The easiest way to go about treating astigmatism is by using corrective lenses. This is usually the method of treatment for people whose astigmatism is not that bad. The lenses could either be a part of spectacles or used as contact lenses. The good part about contact lenses is that the field of view is wider.

Orthokeratology (Ortho-k) works to improve astigmatism by using lenses as well. However, the lenses are of the hard variety. These lenses are useful for corneal astigmatism patients as they reshape the eye. Usually, they are worn while sleeping and most people can have normal vision the next day. However, if one stops using them, the eye goes back to its original state. So, they are not a permanent solution.

Surgery, however, can be a permanent solution to astigmatism. LASIK and PRK are two of the most popular types. RK is also popular, but to a lesser extent. It is good to remember that the risks of surgery should be discussed with a doctor prior to undergoing one. In case you have a concern or query you can always consult an expert & get answers to your questions!
