Well it depends on the case. If posterior are going to be extracted then its very important to fill the gap ,coz supra erruption of the disbalanced tooth will occur.

You might be on some kind of antibiotics eg ciprofloxcacin n tinidazole. If this is the reason then no need to worry.

go for extraction before its too late.if any how swelling occurred u won't be able to open ur mouth n doctor won't be able to help u .
