Hello, Appreciate your positive concern for your father .Let me make it clear that parents develop a lot of insecurity after their children's marriage .One is about the bond that they have with their children might become weak ,the other is about financial insecurity, something about division of responsibilities also alarms them which they generally don't admit .Every human being is likely to make mistakes and we should accept that .In case ,your father has felt something bad about yours or your wife's behaviour talk to him in private and patiently, as a son .Life after marriage is a little different and one needs to strike a balance between the resposibility towards parents and the role towards the spouse. Just because he gets upset don't stop clarifying things patiently and sensibly. Stick to it .Involve your wife in the family with genuine intentions. The journey can be difficult in the beginning but it pays because the family is the backbone of each person. All the best.

Hello ,What you have stated for yourself is a good sign that shows that you well recognise your problem. Anxiety and depression are largely lifestyle problems .Our way of looking at things basically decides that a problem will conquer us or we would conquer it .Life throws a lot of challenges but remember they are not only for you. Infact each individual and each stage of life has its individual demands. The best way to look at life is to count our blessings and pen them down. Look around yourself to see the downtrodden and not so priveldged ones. Extend a hand of help to others in whatever form and way it's possible. Look for the company of optimistic people who care for you. Engage in reading motivational and spiritual books. Have a proper routine and remember it's all within your control. You are the master of your destiny. All the best.

Hello ,What you seem to be facing is not actually a problem rather a developed habit. In today's fast paced life we have conditioned ourselves to impatience which is leading us to anxiety. Most often ,we quickly want to move to the next episode without relishing the present, as a result we miss the lovely time we are having. Believe me ,the rat race will never end but our thinking can make us live and enjoy the present without making us anxious. Another tip to be kept in mind is to lead a simpler life with lesser wants. Appreciate and accept the variety of human nature we have around us to be at peace with ourselves and then with others .Try to remain calm, practise calming your mind by meditation, physical exercise and by reading good books. Surely ,all this will help you.

Hello dear, Believe me, the anxiety you are talking about is a universal phenomenon. Everyone while facing any gathering ,irrespective of the size, the age and the experience of the group gets butterflies in the stomach. It is something innate to human nature and in a way it prepares the human body for such challenges. The best way to overcome is to rehearse as well as you can. Give your self a good practise in front of a mirror, deliver in front of family members, look for areas of improvement To boost your morale visualise yourself excelling .Watch your role models performing. See motivational videos ,read inspiring quotes, anecdotes or books. Avoid the company of negative people and see yourself realising your dream. Believe in the fact, that we receive what we dream. You can take personal advise from a counsellor as well. You can do it. All the best.

Hi I feel really stressed. I feel im not good enough for anyone im not able to express myself properly most of the time. If I get hurt I prefer keeping it within myself and when I someone does not understand me I tend to give up easily. And I do not give up on the person I love easily im very scared what if that person leaves me and I always do what I can to make that person happy forgetting about myself. I feel im actually lonely. What am I supposed to do? What do I do when someone does not understand me. How am I supposes to react to that situation.

Hi, I can well understand what it feels to be lonely and longing to have companionship. But your problem is not grave that it cannot be solved. Probably you seem to give extra weightage to others and to their qualities .You just need to focus inwards now so as to be able to see the good qualities you have. Better make a list of the qualities possessed by you .For which you can take help of the people who love you truely. Put that list where you can read it very often .Keep including items in that list and have faith in your abilities .We all are distinct but no less than others. Remember ,no one can ride your back until it is bent .Take pride in your being ,keep upgrading your self and the ones who love you would stick to you.

I am 37 years old. Got married last year to a person who was divorced. He was even jailed due to his ill behaviour with his previous wife. However I was single but due to my age I had limited option. And he then showed me he was the best. However after marriage from day 1 he had been fighting a lot. Wants me to work and pay his dues. When I said I won't. Then he completely denied that he ever asked for that. I planned to have baby. As I felt may be due to his old mishaps he is such. But during all my pregnancy he kept fighting with me. I am staying with my parents since past one and a half year due to his fights. I asked him to go to psychiatrist as he fights a lot. He takes it negatively. And doesn't talk to me for many days. Kindly advise how can I take care of all these. I have a seven month old daughter as well. And due to all the fights my health has deteriorated and not able to still go for any work. And I can't even claim for a good earning now. After a long gap year.

Hello ,I can well understand what you seem to be going through. There is a lot of insecurity that you must be experiencing .As per the details shared by you it seems your husband has some aggression issues hat need to be addressed. As this has been a kind of life style so he seems to be caught in the web .Talk to him patiently and ask him to state all his problems. Give him support that together you both can confront them. Make a list of the worries that trouble him and take actions step by step as a team, to handle them .Win his trust to enjoy a life long companionship. Certainly, constant problems can be a major reason for losing ones cool .So relax ,act and don't react to the circumstances. Surely you both can sail together with each other's support.

Hello Mr. lybrate-user,what all you shared about your daughter is common in OCD. Medicines and therapy go well in helping an individual. I'm sure you are seeking help from a psychiatrist for all this and certainly CBT works well for it .All the best.

Hello lybrate-user, Life is beautiful but it depends upon our perception. I think you need to keep yourself occupied in different things .Plan your day .Make and write a workable schedule and paste the paper in your room .Try to stick to it. Have time for work, include complete entertainment time, physical exercise to sweat (20 min) atleast .(as it releases happy hormone) and time to talk to God. Be in the company of lively people and spread happiness. I am sure all this will certainly make a difference. All the best.

Hello lybrate-user, Good that you recognised the shortcoming but it is not impossible to overcome it. I think you just need to feel confident about the qualities you have .Better write them on a paper and put it in your almirah or your room .For making such a list you can take help of the people who love you and are close to you. Read that list ,take pride in it and keep making even the smallest of the things to it .Don't let others overpower you. Remember ,no one can ride your back until it is bent. Do the homework well, to feel confident and at times we are all bound to make mistakes. Watch inspiring and confident people but only for the sake of learning, not to feel inferior, at all. Read good and motivational books. Keep upgrading yourself. All the best.

I'm a 26 years old and i've got serious anxiety issues. I get too anxious and tense during exams or anything that tests my credibility. I get too emotional and at times I can not get it under control. This happens as I get too attached to certain things to the extent that I find it difficult breathing. It happened with silliest things like when a tv series that I watched ends or things like when I lost my girl friend etc. Initially I neglected this and I thought it's a common attribute to all the people. But i'm not able to be successful in exams and a lot f negativity is catching up. ANY SUGGESTIONS?

Hello lybrate-user, great to hear that you are aware of the issues that trouble you .Now you only need to think otherwise to change it. The kind of anxiety you go through is very common and very normal .The only difference is that not many people share it so we don't get to know about others woes. Relax, pl remember that no exam is final and there is always a next time. Believe in yourself ,give your best have faith in God .Do you know that even if we forget Him, He does not forgets us. Our role is to just try our best without loosing control over ourselves. Try to tell yourself to not to brood over any anxiety provoking thoughts. And above all don't let others affect you, your inner peace. Look for your strengths and work further .Ups and downs are part of everyone's life.

Hello lybrate-user, Appreciate your concern for your mother. As you shared she feels lethargic and assuming she doesn't move much could be leading to some gastric issues. Believe me, a supportive family can do wonders to change the outlook and wellbeing of any individual. Set a proper schedule for her day .Let it be written clearly on a paper and displayed in her room. Don't give her much time alone to let her sink into bouts of lonliness. Take support of other immediate family members to keep her involved .Ensure warmth and care. Discuss things with her. Day to day events to invoke response. A healthy diet and companionship can do wonders to her wellbeingAll the best.

Hi lybrate-user, It's good and great to be able to accept ourselves with our strengths and flaws. I appreciate you for having that insight but the next step is to make an effort to control the emotions .You seem to be a little insecure about the scenario. Remember you cannot and must not control others behaviour but can have complete control over yourself. See yourself as a capable and worthy individual and keep yourself occupied to give meaning to each day. Have a schedule for the day with atleast 20 min of physical exercise definitely in it. Meditation and reading spiritually rich books can also help you overcome the anxiety and the mood swings you are going through. Best wishes.
