My newborn baby had fever after 4 days of delivery. I was not getting breast milk In that time. Later in blood test it showed creatinine is 1.9. Later Dr. scolded me not to keep baby without milk. at least feed her formula milk. I did the same and fever went of. Later I dint check her creatinine. It will not be a problem?

Ms. lybrate-user, Raised Creatinine levels seems to be due to dehydration. Feeding is essential for babies as it is the only source of energy as well as water along with other nutrients. For more information and counselling, kindly contact in person, else, consult your Pediatrician. Stay Healthy, Kind regards

My son aged 5 1/2 years is having severe dry cough and it disturbs his sleep during night particularly.
Dear lybrate-user, There is no blanket treatment for cough. Cough is a very common condition, however, the cause is different in each child and at different times in same child. Kindly consult a Pediatrician for the appropriate treatment. Stay Healthy, Stay Happy Kind regards.

she is 2 years old. Her weight is 7 kg. Her birth weight was 3 kg. She is not eating anything. I am really concerned about her health. What should I do as she is very thin. I don't want her to be fat baby just want her to be healthy one.

Dear lybrate-user, Firstly let me warn you that your daughter is suffering from malnutrition and her weight is quite less according to her age. It’s alarming. Consult a Pediatrician immediately for thorough check up. Diet plan and medicines will then be started. But stay calm, as your daughter will be alright after appropriate treatment/ Stay Healthy, Stay Happy.

Dear lybrate-user, Recurrent dry cough; the word “recurrent” itself says that the treatment was taken for the symptoms only. Suppression of cough is not the right treatment. Consult the Pediatrician, it is advisable to treat the underlying problem causing cough recurrently. Take care and feel free to consult.

Dear lybrate-user, babies should not be exposed to any kind of strong/intense odour/ fragrance. There is no additional harmful effect of alcohol and cigarette smell than others. But offcourse, as suggested by my dear colleague doctors, smoking should be quit as soon as possible. It is harmful for everyone, directly and indirectly. Take care.
