I had protected sex on 13 march and I got my periods on 19 march. Now periods are delayed. I did pelvis usg and reports said that you have bilateral polycystic ovarian changes. Doctor asked me to do blood test like glucose, s.tsh, s.prolactin. I had regestrone tablets twice a day for three days coz I wanted my periods to come. I did not had any sex after last periods. I did upt too on the 8th day of missed period and it is negative. How and when will I get my periods? Please say.

I would advice you to do a serum B-Hcg which is a blood test to be very sure you are not pregnant. Then continue with regesterone tablets twice a day for 7 days. Wait for 7-10 days after stopping the tablet. Periods should usually come. If not see your Gynaecologist back to prescribe an alternative medicine. PCO is known to delay and cause irregular periods. So this will need long term treatment.

Hello sir/madam. What is difference between regular and irregular periods? How can I know that I have regular or irregular periods?

Hello sir/madam.
What is difference between regular and irregular periods? How can I know that I have regular or irre...
Hello, Irregular period is usually defined as any type of bleeding that's abnormal when compared to your last few menstrual cycles. It can include everything from a late period to early bleeding, and scant bleeding to extremely heaving bleeding. For many women, this can even mean an absent period (amenorrhea) or two periods in one month (metrorrhagia). It's actually a way of your body telling you something is not right and probably your hormones (especially estrogen and progesterone) are imbalanced. Although, in most cases, they are not dangerous, but it is important to figure out what is causing the irregularity (which may require a trip to the doctor). RESAONS/ CAUSES: Some common reasons for irregular periods: STRESS: Stress is the most common cause of irregular periods. Cortisol, the stress hormone, has a direct impact on how much estrogen and progesterone, two sex hormones, gets produced by the body. POOR DIET: Unhealthy eating and being overweight or underweight can cause irregular periods. In order for a woman to maintain a regular cycle, her body fat percentage needs to be at least 17-22 percent. EXCESSIVE EXERCISE: Excessive exercising (or even lack of it) and drastic weight changes can decrease the body fat, being underweight can offset your hormone levels, thus contributing to irregular periods. BIRTH CONTROL PILLS: When some women stop taking the pill, their periods may take one to three months to return to normal. And this can also reveal an underlying hormonal problem that was masked by taking the birth control pills. PCOS: Polycystic ovary syndrome causes cysts to form on the ovaries, interfering with regular ovulation. In fact, PCOS is far more complicated than a missed period. Talk to your doctor about this condition. THYROID: Thyroid disorders, including hypothyroidism or hyperthyroidism, can cause widespread symptoms like changes in estrogen and cortisol hormones and missed periods. OTHER REASONS: Some other reasons include perimenopause, menopause, pregnancy, certain medications you might be taking due to other health issues, and breastfeeding. Hope this helps.

I had unprotected sex on 29th September. The due date for my period was 2nd October. It generally has a cycle of 28 days. I took an ipill on the fifth day after sex. My period hasn't come till now. Is it the pill delaying my period or should I go for a blood test?

I pill is effective if taken within 72 hrs of unprotected intercourse ,delay in periods could be due to I-pill ,but as you have missed your period do a urine pregnancy test to clear your doubts.

How to make hard breast when its become loose please give me name of cream I need name of that cream.

How to make hard breast when its become loose please give me name of cream I need name of that cream.
Massaging the breasts regularly can increase your breast size. Massage helps in two ways. First, it increases blood circulation, and secondly, it helps stretch out the tissues within the breast to make them appear bigger and firmer. Use natural oils like olive oil or almond oil to massage your breasts. 1.Rub the oil between your palms for two to three minutes to generate heat. 2.Place your hands on your breasts and rub inwards, continuing around your breasts in a circular direction. 3.Do a minimum of 100 to 300 circular rubs in the morning and again before going to bed. 4.Follow this remedy twice daily for one or two months to get positive results.

My gf got pregnant its conformed by urine test. Right now its not correct time for baby v want to abort how to abort naturally last period was 28 march. Suggest me quick plz.

Obstetrician, Pune
Hello lybrate-user. As you have written that your girl friend is pregnant and confirmation is done by urine pregnancy test. I advice you to take her for ultrasonography with the letter of obstetrician, USG will give very clear idea about the duration of pregnancy and location of the pregnancy. If her pregnancy size is small and intra uterine then she can undergo medical termination of pregnancy under the care of experienced obstetrician. She should do haemogram and blood group before this procedure.

Hello Dear,Periods occur when the egg formed during each menstrual cycle in the female body is not fertilized and hence ejected out of the reproductive system along with blood and several other tissue cells. The duration of each menstrual cycle is about 28 days Most women will experience their monthly period right from the time they are 13 to the time they are 50. For many women, their monthly period is nothing more than an annoyance; but other women may suffer some problems. Visit us at www.Malhotraayurveda.Com
