How To Shed Those Extra Kilos Successfully?

How To Shed Those Extra Kilos Successfully?

The past couple of days have witnessed trending news in the form of the stunning transformation of Anant Ambani, son of Mukesh Ambani, MD of Reliance Industries Limited. Anant, who had previously been burdened with excessive body weight due to intake of some strong medications, has achieved an unbelievable target of losing 108 Kgs of body weight in just 18 months!

Many people suffer from obesity and many other conditions as an aftereffect of excessive body weight, but don't know how to address the issue to attain a healthy weight. In this regard, the story of Anant is an inspirational lesson for all those who want to lose weight and follow a strict diet plan and exercise regime continuously to achieve their goals. Just like him, now you too can attain a healthy body weight and a fit physique too through the techniques mentioned below:

  1. Following an Appropriate Diet Plan - A healthy diet is the key to a good weight loss regime besides the implementation of an effective exercise plan. Anant had opted for a strict low-carb diet without the presence of sugar. This type of diet has a lot of benefits including weight loss in a healthy way. This type of diet requires you to avoid all types of processed food items including breads, soft drinks, cereals, pastas, sweets etc. And increase the intake of foods rich in healthy fats and proteins. A processed food is any food that has been altered in some way during preparation.
  2. Weight and Functional Training - Weight training is known for burning calories and functional training helps in increasing your core stability through exercises like squats, stretches, lunges etc. A combination of these two in your exercise regime will not only help you lose weight, but will also enable you to do it in a healthy way.
  3. High-intensity Cardio Exercises - High-intensity cardio exercises are recommended by most gym instructors to people who want to lose weight as they increase your heart rate and consume lesser amount of time to eliminate the extra fat from your body.
  4. Yoga - There’s no better way to stay fit and healthy than making yoga a part of your daily lifestyle. This ancient tradition not only tones your muscles and burn calories, but also gives you a healthier life by helping you relax your mind and body both. This was also one of the techniques followed by Anant to reach his destination of a having a healthy body.

We've put together a sample diet plan exclusively for you, which can help you lose weight in a healthy natural way:

Breakfast
  • Omelet of 2 eggs, multigrain toast with low-fat cheese and black coffee.
  • 2-3 idlis with sambhar.
Morning Snack
  • 1 cup fresh yogurt (dahi), ½ apple, a handful of almonds or walnuts.
Lunch
  • 2 rotis (without oil or ghee), 1 plate rice, 1 cup dal, ½ cup vegetable or chicken curry and 1 bowl salad.
  • 1 cup cooked rice (without starch) with ½ cup vegetable curry.
Afternoon Snack
  • 1 cup moong bean sprouts, 15 peanuts with salt pepper and lemon to taste.
  • 1 cup yogurt with cut fruits.
  • 1 apple.
  • Cucumber or carrot slices.
Dinner
  • 1 roti ( without oil or ghee), ½ cup vegetable curry, 1 cup dal and 1 bowl of salad.
  • 1 cup rice (without starch),1 cup of dal and 1 bowl of salad· 1 cup of chicken curry, ½ cup of boiled rice ( without starch), 2 rotis (without oil or ghee) and 1 bowl of salad.

Hi, Wash your face with Bakson's Facewash (wash your face with warm water only) and followed by CTMP, i. E. Cleansing, toning, moisturising and protection (apply liberally Sunscreen Gel with SPF-30) after washing your face daily. Prevention: -Take healthy food only and avoid unhealthy ones (although sebaceous glands are not excretory glands then as well!) as what you eat is reflected on your face! -Avoid taking unnecessary stress/ tension as it encourages secretion of stress hormone in the body as thus affects skin or any other tissue of the body. -Drink atleast 8-10 glasses of water in a day. -Take 6-8hrs. Of sound sleep everyday. -Don't use others towels, handkerchief on your face as well as never share yours. -Never ever rub your face as it damages the skin (even towel should be dab on skin softly) and break outs of acne get worsened! -Maintain hygiene, wash your face 2-3times in a day, changes the pillow covers, bed sheet daily, use cotton bed sheet only (try to sleep on your back). Home-made remedies: - Take 1 tbsp of fuller's earth (multani mitti) + a dash of lime + bit of rosewater – apply this on your face till it gets dried up, then rinse it off. - Take 1 tsp of Alum (or fitkari), make it slightly wet with water and apply this on your wet face, spread it well; let it dry and rinse it off. Alum remove your excessive moisture or oil and it also tightens the skin's tonicity. Medication: You can take homoeopathic medicines – Berberis Aquefolium Q/ 10 drops in 1/2 cup of water/ thrice a day (and for local application as well) and Kali Brom. 200/ thrice a day – for 30 days.

What are the symptoms of dengue and what precautions are to be taken in case if we suffer from dengue.

What are the symptoms of dengue and what precautions are to be taken in case if we suffer from dengue.
Hi, Dengue fever, also known as breakbone fever, is a mosquito-borne tropical disease caused by the dengue virus. Symptoms include fever, headache, muscle and joint pains, and a characteristic skin rash that is similar to measles. In a small proportion of cases, the disease develops into the life-threatening dengue hemorrhagic fever, resulting in bleeding, low levels of blood platelets and blood plasma leakage, or into dengue shock syndrome, where dangerously low blood pressure occurs. Dengue is transmitted by several species of mosquito within the genus Aedes, principally A. Aegypti. The virus has five different types; infection with one type usually gives lifelong immunity to that type, but only short-term immunity to the others. Subsequent infection with a different type increases the risk of severe complications. As there is no commercially available vaccine, prevention is sought by reducing the habitat and the number of mosquitoes and limiting exposure to bites. The incubation period (time between exposure and onset of symptoms) ranges from 3 to 14 days, but most often it is 4 to 7 days. The characteristic symptoms of dengue are sudden-onset fever, headache (typically located behind the eyes), muscle and joint pains, and a rash. The alternative name for dengue, "breakbone fever" comes from the associated muscle and joint pains. Do’s and Don’t’s for Patients: If you or any other member is suffering from suspected dengue fever, it is important to carefully watch yourself or member for the next few days, since this disease can rapidly become very serious and lead to a medical emergency. The complications associated with Dengue Fever/Dengue Haemorrhagic Fever usually appear between the third and fifth day of illness. You should therefore watch the patient for two days even after fever disappears. Personal Measures: Use of mosquito repellent creams, liquids, coils, mats etc. Wearing of full sleeve shirts and full pants with socks during the transmission season. Use of bed nets for sleeping during day time to prevent mosquito bite What to Do: Give large amounts of fluids (water, soup, milk, juice) along with the normal diet. The patient should take complete rest. Immediately consult the doctor or report at the Health Centre if any of the following manifestations appear:  Red spots or points on the skin  bleeding from the nose or gums  frequent vomiting  vomiting with blood  black stools  sleepiness  constant crying;  abdominal pain  excessive thirst (dry mouth)  pale, cold or clammy skin  difficulty in breathing What Not to Do: Do not wait in case the above symptoms appear. Immediately consult a doctor. It is crucial to quickly get treatment in case of these complications.

It seems you are pregnant but the conceptus is probably aborted. Wait for a few days and then give me the feedback to decide on the further course of action. Maybe an USG or maybe some antibiotic. Let us see.
