You have conceived once itself rules out any major issues with you. Mostlikely of periods are irregular then ovulation inducing agents might be required. If periods are regular may be just timing if intercourse needs to be corrected.

I'm 33 & my wife is 25 years old. She is 2 months pregnant now. Is it safe for us to keep physical relationship at this stage of pregnancy? If so then how long we have to keep it, is there any best position to follow? Is it require to use condom at this stage intercourse? Is there any problem if semens directly discharge inside vagina? Please suggest.

IPHH Delhi, Bachelor of Ayurveda, Medicine and Surgery (BAMS), Panchkarma, Diploma in Acupuncture
Sexologist, Gurgaon
Dear the mouth of uterus is shut during the pregnancy & you can penetrate it. So it is safe to have physical relation during pregnancy with or without condom. Only thing is she should not have the infection during pregnancy & she should not feel any discomfort or pain. In the late 2nd trimester or 3rd trimester better to use the lateral positions for relations than putting male weight on female abdomen. There is no problem in discharging the semen inside the vagina.

Hi, My HSG report says that, Both the tubes are seen, shows poor peritoneal spill. What dose it mean?

MBBS, MD
Gynaecologist,
Hi, My HSG report says that, Both the tubes are seen, shows poor peritoneal spill.
What dose it mean?
Hi, Normally the dye goes into the two tubes separately from the uterus, and then comes out through the ends of the tubes and spills freely into the belly (intraperitoneal space). Hence if there is'poor' spillage and both tubes are seen, that means there may be incomplete obstruction somewhere in the tubes, but they are not completely blocked. So fertility should be possible. However you may show the report to a gynaecologist.

The best method to find out the day of ovulation is temperature method. In this technique, womens body temperature is recorded every morning. When these temperatures are plotted on a graph we get a curve. The temperature is low during actual bleeding. Subsequently it rises. At about the middle of cycle there is a sudden fall in temperature followed by a rise. This rise in temperature indicates that ovulation has occurred. You can msg me to discuss in detail to know the exact day of your ovulation. I will help you.

How To Prevent Vaginal Infections?

MBBS, MD - Obstetrtics & Gynaecology, DNB, Fellowship in Infertility
Gynaecologist, Mumbai
How To Prevent Vaginal Infections?

An infection in a woman’s reproductive organ is characterized by pain, discomfort, itching, burning sensations and a foul smell. Even normally, a women’s reproductive organ creates a discharge which is a clear liquid but slightly cloudy. However, when this discharge becomes abnormal and has a foul smell, it could be a tell tale sign for a vaginal infection.

Symptoms of Vaginal Discharge:

  1. Your vaginal discharge is heavier than usual.

  2. The smell seems different and can be quite offensive.

  3. The color of your vaginal discharge may also change.

  4. Your vagina can swell and become sore.

  5. Itching and burning sensations are also felt.

  6. Sex is extremely uncomfortable and painful.

What causes a vaginal infection?

Sometimes vaginal discharges happen due to an allergic reaction or irritation caused by the use of products such as vaginal douches and creams.

Vaginal infections which are not contagious in nature can be caused by detergents, fabric softeners, perfumed soaps and vaginal sprays which may change the natural, chemical and bacterial balance of the organ.

Vaginal infections are also quite commonly caused by sexually transmitted diseases such as gonorrhea, Chlamydia, trichomoniasis, human papillomavirus (HPV) and herpes among others.

How can you prevent vaginal infections?

  1. Keep your genital area dry and clean – Every time you have a bath, clean your vagina with water and don’t use chemical or vaginal washes which can only make things worse. Vaginal infections can also occur due to the disturbance of the ph level (the balance of alkaline and acidic chemicals) in your vagina. Thus use only water to wash and maintain general hygiene.

  2. Avoid wearing underwear made out of nylon and synthetic material – These materials trap heat and moisture in your vagina and can make them smelly and itchy. Cotton underwear is recommended to prevent vaginal infections and also for general health.

  3. Eating yogurt or other pro-biotics can prevent vaginal infection – Any healthy vagina has a balance of many forms of bacteria and fungus. If you have pro-biotics such as plain yoghurts or other specially formulated foods, then it will help maintain the balance and prevent infections from happening.

  4. Use condoms – Always use either a female condom or ask your partner to use a male condom before engaging in intercourse. This will prevent the passing of sexually transmitted diseases which are a leading cause of vaginal infections.

If you wish to discuss about any specific problem, you can consult the doctor and ask a free question.

Some pain is normal for pregnancy. In severe pain, we have to exclude vein thrombosis. Perform light exercise. Don't take any drugs without consulting gynecologist. And get it checked by your doctor as soon as possible.

Bigger uterus always does not need treatment. We treat them only if patients have any problems. Some patients can be treated by medicine alone but some may need removal of uterus (surgery). So, it varies from patients to patients.

Sperms bahar aana normal hai. Pregnancy mahine k eek hi din rah sakti hai, jo din anda phute. Isliye couple 12 se 24 mahina bina family planning sadhan se yah din ke aaspas sambandh karne ke baad pregnancy nahi rahti hai to gynecologist ya to infertility specialist ke paas jate hai. Vahan bahut sare test karne padte hai aur dhiraj se treatment karani padti hai. Jiske par vishwas ho aise Gynecologist ya infertility specialist ke pas dono chale jaiye.

It may due to infection. For pain try xylocain 2% jelly. Apply just before intercourse on vagina. If problem. Persist consult plz.
