Boil it in one glass of water for 2-3 minutes. Drink 5-10 teaspoons (15-20 ml) in morning and evening for strong digestive system. Or you can take amla powder 1 teaspoon with water for strong digestion. 2. Take a diet rich with proteins and fats. In evening, take 1 glass of milk (300 ml) with 2 bananas. In night, take a bowl of careals (daal, a bowl of salad with chapattis. 3. In morning, get up early and take awalk for 10-15 minutes and exercise light weight exercises for at least 30 minutes at home or gym. 4. For proper fitness, proper sleep is very important. So you should sleep for 6-8 hours daily. 5. Avoid soft drinks, western fast food (burgers, french fries, pizza etc. They disturb your digestion. 6. Do meditation daily to calm down your stress level. Use plain soap with foam, no need for any medicated soaps or creamy soaps. Do not use dettol or antiseptic lotions, they may hurt and cause burning of delicate areas. Clean with water after every time you pass urine. Delicate areas is like insides of mouth, do we not clean mouth after every meal? Get tested by swab if worried, remember presence of 4-6 bacteria is normal. Sprinkle clotrimazole powder avaible like a pack of nycil powder.

I have hair fall problem. I have consulted with many doctors but didn't get better treatment.
Hair is part of the body. Roots of hair are situated inside the scalp. Shaft or body of the hair is outer portion of hair. Nourishment reaches the hair through blood. It is very important to eat food which is rich in proteins and iron. Protein rich food is green peas, quinoa, nuts, beans etc. Green leafy vegetables are good sources of iron. Drink 3 lit of water/day. Oil the scalp with jaborandi hair oil 3/week and wash it 3/week. Consult trichiologist if hair fall persists.

Dear lybrate-user, namaskar, there is nothing unusual. In later stage of pregnancy when the uterus becomes heavy, it imparts pressure on the inferior vena cava (carrying blood from the legs to the heart) which causes hindrance in blood drainage from the lower limbs. Will settle after parturition. Meanwhile. She must avoid dependent position of the legs and keep them elevated on pillows at night and rest hours. And do simple exercises of the feet and knees. Take care.

Know Everything About Head And Neck Pain!

Know Everything About Head And Neck Pain!

Movement of the head and neck is enabled by the various joints in this region, the main role being played by the cervical spine. This is a part of the vertebra or the spine and supports the head and neck in all movements. There are cervical vertebrae, ligaments, muscles, and nerves which ensure this movement happens smoothly. However, given the complexity of the whole structure, head and neck pain are also two of the most common joint pains.

The Neck Bone’s Connected to the Head Bone…

The vertebrae of your neck (cervical spine) support the weight of your head and all its motions, which may not seem like much – until you realize your head weighs as much as a bowling ball. When your neck bones are not positioned properly, the result is tightening of the muscles and irritation of the nerves that connect with your head. Your head and neck symptoms may include some or all of the following:

  1. Sharp or dull pain or discomfort in your neck
  2. Stiffness in your neck
  3. Inability to turn your head to one side
  4. Headache
  5. Shoulder pain
  6. Jaw pain

Fortunately, you don’t have to live with head and neck pain – and you don’t have to take drugs to eliminate the pain.

Causes:

The causes for head and neck pain can range from muscle strain to arthritis to pinched nerve to cancer.

  1. Posture problems: Not providing adequate support when being seated grows to be a menace. With the changing lifestyle where people end up staring at a monitor, there is tremendous stress on the neck muscles, leading to pain and stiffness. There is also loss of flexibility, leading to a stiff neck and headaches.
  2. Muscle strain: This can occur due to a sudden movement, either when doing something or as a result of accident (like a whiplash injury). The muscle can be torn or injured and this can result in pain, swelling, and inflammation of the affected area.
  3. Stress: One of the most common identifier of stress is the constant ache/nagging pain in the back of the neck.
  4. Disk herniation: When the disk is moved out of its space due to excessive movement and rotation, the disk gets herniated and the nerve gets ‘pinched.’ This can cause a sharp, shooting pain to the area where the nerve emerges out of that disk.

Spondylitis, arthritis, etc., are other chronic inflammatory conditions which can affect the neck and head areas.

Side effects:

When there is pain in the head and neck area, the whole body function is affected. The movement is limited and therefore vision, neck movements, and other functions are affected. This, in turn, affects the overall quality of life.

Management:

  1. Identify the problem with a thorough examination, X-ray, and if required soft tissue examination.
  2. Ice the area for relief of pain temporarily.
  3. Improve ergonomics in terms of height of the monitor, seat/chair, etc., so the strain is minimized.
  4. Develop an exercise regimen, which gives adequate exercise to the head and neck muscles.
  5. Manage stress. Be it physical, chemical, or emotional stress, it takes a toll on the head and neck area. Managing the stress (there is no escape from it!) will definitely see the pains and stiff neck go away.
  6. Engage in pain management, which is holistic (as above) and does not always resort to medications.

Hello, there can be many reasons behind it like *physical or emotional stress, inadequate protein intake, genetics, anemia, aging, hormonal changes, prolonged illness, deficiency of vitamin b6 and folic acid, thyroid diseases. *hair fall can also result when one indulges in too much dying, blow drying or use of hot curlers. *dandruff can also be great cause behind hair fall. Follow the tips *make a habit of 8-10 glasses of water daily. *eat healthy and balanced food like pulses, green leafy vegetables, fresh fruits and nuts etc. *eggs as it is loaded with essential nutrients such as proteins, vitamin b12, iron, zinc and omega 6 fatty acids in large amount. *add more vitamin rich food to your diet. *avoid stress and anger. *cut down the use of hair spray, hair gel. *take a sound sleep. *avoid too much exposure of your hair to sunlight. *avoid hot hair styling tools, as they damage hair and cause split ends. *it is best not to comb the hair while it is wet as this leads to greater chances of hair breakage.

Because of this he feel weakness and not able to concentrate in his study, not able to sleep. Can you please help me. Is he in depression? or its normal.

Hello sir, am very much worried about my friend. His age is 25 and he is preparing for IAS. Earlier he was doing job ...
He is stressed but not yet depressed. However if he neglects himself he may become depressed. The IAS can be quite a taxing exam and he may be losing confidence and is therefore becoming very stressed. He needs to meet with a counselor without delay. If it is fear then that person will certainly be able to help him handle it appropriately and come out of his distress. He would anyway need to follow a regular exercise regimen, eat healthily, and sleep well. These three are essential for a normal person and more so for him facing a tough exam. If he is too unprepared for the exams and that is the reason for the stress, advise him to defer the exam to next year and get more organized in his preparation. He may be determined to do it this year but if the circumstances are tough, it is advisable to do it the following year. In fact he could have a whole year for preparation. If he is still determined, he needs counseling very badly.
