Sir am suffering from hair fall. In what way I control the hair fall. Please help me.
Follow the tips *make a habit of 8-10 glasses of water daily. *eat healthy and balanced food like pulses, green leafy vegetables, fresh fruits and nuts etc. *eggs as it is loaded with essential nutrients such as proteins, vitamin b12, iron, zinc and omega 6 fatty acids in large amount. *add more vitamin rich food to your diet. *avoid stress and anger. *cut down the use of hair spray, hair gel. *take a sound sleep. *avoid too much exposure of your hair to sunlight. *avoid hot hair styling tools, as they damage hair and cause split ends. *it is best not to comb the hair while it is wet as this leads to breakage.

Can anyone tell me the best therapy for acne? And the possible reasons behind it?

MBBS, MD - Dermatology , Venereology & Leprosy
Dermatologist, Bangalore
Can anyone tell me the best therapy for acne? And the possible reasons behind it?
Acne is a common skin condition affecting teenagers as well as adults. Severity varies from person to person so does treatment. Patient may have comedones commonly called black heads and white heads, papules also called bumps, pus filled lesions, nodules and cysts. Patients may have any combination of these. So only we suggest donot self medicate as it is difficult for anyone other than dermatologist to tell what treatment protocol you need. Treatment of pimple marks and scars also needs specialized approach. Consult a qualified dermatologist.

Maintaining good hygiene is essential. Lukewarm water can be used. Do use cold water later. Do not frequently touch the pimples as that can lead to infection. Do not use soap frequently as it can make the skin dry. Eat only healthy food. Include fruits and vegetables everyday. You can try Homeopathy which can help overcome this problem naturally.

Using Dot silicone gel or toical retinoid cream (Retin A cream) is good to remove this pores. You can also go for masks. Pappaya masks are good for this. You can use this twice weekly. Also avoid sun exposure on face or use sunscreen. Taking vitamin E and C supplements , drinking more plain water also helps in regeneration of skin faster.

Psoriasis is a long-term inflammatory disease and the treatment needs to be continued till the disease is present. Over time; after many years disease activity can self-subside but till it is present the treatment needs to be continued regularly. Also the choice of treatment depends upon the extent of involvement. Treatment involves lotions and creams for localised involvement. However, in widespread involvement there is need for systemic immunosuppressants. Also, whether is there accompanying joint problem as well will guide the choice of treatment. Please consult a qualified certified dermatologist or you can get an online consultation done. Hope this is helpful.
