We are parents to a 14 year old daughter and 11 year old son. I am in a transferable job and the family moves with me. Our daughter started her periods when she was 9.5 years. It was the time that she stated being physically abusive towards her mother without any reason or remorse. In the last 3-4 years her behavior towards her parents, sibling has worsened. In our last relocation 3 years back, she had problems in making friends at school for which we sought professional counselling, got her enrolled in sports and things were a little better for a few days.We also took homeopathic treatment to treat the aggression in her. One day we learnt that she has infatuation for a 17 year old boy at the sports academy. The boy was suggesting sexual advances towards her as we could gather from her personal diary. We could intervene and resolve the issue. We have also been meeting the school counseller off and on. During this time she was making use of the mobile phone which we had kept for use at home ( in place for the regular landline). Last year she pestered and forced her to buy her a smartphone. Our problems aggravated manifold after we bought the smartphone. Her attention towards her studies nosedived despite taking extra tuitions. She would throw her clothes, towels etc on floor after use and listen to music on the cell all the time. Her sleep wake cycle is also abnormal. She would get up at 12 PM on holidays. For last 6 months she is friends with a 17 year old boy of her school and has been chatting with him on FB/whattsapp. The boy is making sexual advances towards her while in the school( as we could understand from her phone). We were called one day in the school to inform that she has been bunking her classes. All this while we have been very supportive /sympathetic towards our child. The teachers have suggested that we take the smartphone back from her. But her behavior is so violent and abnormal that we do not know to head in which direction.

Reparenting Technique, BA, BEd

You have not only described the problem well but most of what you have done has been good so far. Let me explain what your child is going through. She has entered adolescence earlier by nearly 4 years. An unprepared child has to face the onset of puberty at a much earlier time and further she may not have had all her childhood milestones met adequately because her childhood has been cramped by those 4 years. Secondly, there will be a spurt in the production of the male sex hormone, testosterone, which has a duration of two years. Due to this chemical alone there are three identified features that present itself over which she has no control: she will be sexually active, aggressive and rebellious, and she will have acne and pimple problems. Then if she has unresolved childhood issues, they will compound the situation and fuel her uncontrolled behavior. Please remember that she herself may not be aware of all this. Now what to do? You parents need to become her best friend i.E. You must always ally with her and find the path of least resistance. Communication must always be open and favorable. The moment she hides things and does not communicate with you or you withdraw it, there is serious danger. Avoid all types of confrontations and discus your concerns with her. Indulge in her and make home a beautiful place for her to want to be in. Sports and games will expend a lot of the aggression and energy. Go with her and encourage her to participate. Yes, in all this she will get into relationships, which is not the crime. It would be grave failure on your part as parents to have not prepared her with sex education and strong morals that she could exercise, if they were present. Boys are also driven by these hormones and will want sex and put her under pressure to give sex in exchange for the friendship. You have to handle this very carefully, gently and always with abundant love. Some practical things to do: ask the teacher to confiscate the Smartphone. It is better if the school acts on this, than if you did ? again remember to follow the path of least resistance with her from your side. Involve the counselor as much as possible without disgracing her. Now this is very important: never give her anything without there being some negotiations ? barter with her, you give her something in return for some compliance from her. If you can befriend her close companions, especially her peers, you can reach her through them to influence her positively but it has to be done with strict confidence. On holidays let her sleep late, no harm in that. If she is going through a spurt in her growth hormone, she will feel unduly exhausted. Keep in touch with her school authorities always. Also remember that her lack of control over her behavior is a sign that she has a lot of impulses to contend with. I am alluding to this so that you should never provoke inadvertently that she impulsively does something serious to her life just to spite you! Your frequent transfers don?t help much either but then what can be done, if your work is shaped like that! The female child needs and wants a lot of attention from the male parent. Please be there for her at all times and let her know that too.

7 Essential Tips for Looking Great Without Makeup

7 Essential Tips for Looking Great Without Makeup
Today’s urban life can make our skin dull and aged. While the makeup is there to cover the premature aging symptoms, you can also look great even naturally.
Here are few essential tips which would make you look great without wearing even a bit of makeup.

1. Stay hydrated: Water acts as protective barrier against loss of fluids. You need to drink at least 8 glasses of water every day to keep yourself well hydrated. This will help you to get rid of wrinkles and patches.

2. Moisturize your skin: Moisturize your skin daily to prevent development of dry and patchy skin. Nourishing your skin with good moisturizer will also prevent development of wrinkles.

3. Sleep well: Last but not least, the important factor affecting your beauty is adequate sleep. Get sufficient sleep to prevent premature aging and get relieved from stress. Sleeping well will rejuvenate your skin and make you look fresh and beautiful without make up.

4. Eat healthy: It is better to have good diet than to have a good make up kit. Healthy food is not only important for beautiful skin but for overall health. Keep your diet rich in antioxidants like kinds of herbal tea and vitamins especially vitamin A, E, C.

5. Use sunscreen: To go make-up free means to have a wrinkle free and clear skin. Using a high SPF sunscreen will protect you from UV rays’ damage and give you tan free skin and minimize your wrinkles and fine lines.

6. Exfoliate: Exfoliation removes dead skin and rejuvenates your skin. Cleanse and exfoliate your skin at least once a week to get radiant skin.

7. Stop touching your face frequently: Rubbing your hand to forehead, squeezing pimples or simple touching your face frequently may add oil and bacteria to your face. This may even develop premature wrinkles and loosen your skin. So try not to touch your face unnecessarily.

How to Recover from Pregnancy Blues?

How to Recover from Pregnancy Blues?

Mood swings right after the birth of a baby are quite common. Though these are the least severe variants of post-partum depression, it is crucial not to ignore the changes that are taking place in your body. Most women feel perplexed about what they can do to combat the sadness that has taken over after a joyous and happy event of welcoming a new bundle of joy into the family. About 70 to 80% of new mothers go through some kind of negative feelings and sudden bouts of depression and sadness after the birth of a child.

Symptoms of baby blues
Often, the symptoms of baby blues hit forcibly within four to five days of childbirth, though in some cases they can occur even earlier, depending on how the birthing process went. Some of the most common symptoms of post-partum anxiety include impatience and irritability, sudden urge for weeping, restlessness, fatigue and stress and a lack of concentration along with mood changes and insomnia, even when the baby is fast asleep.

How to combat the symptoms
You will be able to deal with this post-partum phase by taking a good care of yourself. You can take several measure to make yourself feel at ease, particularly when you are faced with the worst bouts of baby blues. You can speak with someone you trust regarding how you feel and what you feel like doing. It is crucial to maintain a well regulated diet, and though this is always important, having a baby increases the probability of causing mood swings.

You can also maintain a journal to note down your feelings and emotions, as it helps in venting out negative thoughts. You can go outside and enjoy some fresh air and enjoy the life that exists beyond your new routine of feeding, changing diapers and caring for the newborn. Sometimes, being exposed to a different view can make a great difference. You should not pressurise yourself for achieving perfection for the first few weeks. Slowly, things would fall in place and before you know it, you will have adjusted yourself to the new routine.

It is crucial to bear in mind that you are not alone with your thoughts and feelings as these things are faced by mothers across the world. But it is vital to note here that if your indications don’t seem to subside even after a few weeks, it can be a sign of a more serious health issue and you may need to be diagnosed by an expert.

Hello doctor. Gud eve. Im just 20. But I have a big belly.
How to reduce my belly.
'fats on belly goes the last' whatever you do. It's only yoga postures and/ or exercises and long walks that will help you. Light food with enough fibers and mild fat reducing herbal combos will make it happen.

Slice a piece off of the papaya, and lay or hold it on the dark spots that you want to get rid of. Hold it there for 20-30 minutes. Repeat twice a day for best results. 2.Make a papaya facial mask. Cut the papaya into chunks, then use a blender or food processor to blend the fruit into a smooth paste. Apply the mask to your face and neck. Leave it on for about 30 minutes, then rinse well.

My daughter is 8 year old and good at studies and quite bright child. The problem is with her EQ. She usually has her opinion on everything and will make sure that it is been followed. She does not follow what we say at once usually. Sometimes in front of others, when she does something which we have told her not to do, it causes stress and anger in us. She wants us to give her complete attention all the time, which can not happen all the time. (incase of guests etc) during such times she demands for the tv. Which if I do not give. Dear lybrate-user, it must be tough dealing with such a child. Give her instructions of what to do and what no to do very gently at a time when she is absolutely calm and receptive. Make her do more physical activities, like dancing, or aerobics or yoga or outdoor sports. This might take away some of her restlessness and regulate her body and mind. Also remember, one should be firm with children. Hope my suggestion helps you.

What is the reason for damaged hair and colour being changed to white at an age of 27.

General Physician,
What is the reason for damaged hair and colour being changed to white at an age of 27.
The premature graying problem is largely genetic. Hair follicles contain pigment cells that produce melanin, which gives your tresses their color. When your body stops generating melanin, hair presents itself as gray, white, or silver.Premature graying has been associated with certain medical conditions such as thyroid disorders, vitiligo, vitamin B12 deficiency, and anemia.

I'm 23 years old my hair falls, I want to regrow hair in my head have you any solution.
Hair growth is now a days a top most priority for everyone. Be it of any age group people, everyone wants to have a good volume of hair. Fruits are always been considered as a good source of vitamins and fibre. They help by making scalp and hair roots grow strong. This ensures a proper blood circulation in the scalp that in turn helps in hair growth! Below are few fruits name which are not only beneficial to our health but are also good for hair growth. Gooseberry / Amala: • Adding amla paste or oil in our hair packs conditions the hair to a great extent preventing them from split ends. Dried amla paste helps in opening of the pores helping the scalp to produce natural oils which not only encourages hair re-growth gives extra shine to the hairs. Coconut: Coconut is useful in many ways for our hair and skin. The fats found in coconut, give moisture in hair and condition our hair. Coconut oil is widely used for good hair and scalp massage as it gives relations and also opens up the pores. Even many people use coconut water to wash their hairs. Pomegranates: • Drinking pomegranate juice helps in strengthening hair follicles. Hair loss can be also prevented by using pomegranate extract. Pomegranate seed oil is used in many spas for hair massage. It stimulates hair growth making hair stronger, thick and healthy. • One of the other important benefits of pomogranates is that it helps in combating other hair loss problems such as dandruff, itching etc. Citrus fruits like oranges, lemon: • One of the essential components for hair growth is Vitamin C. Having vitamin C deficiency can make our hairs weak, lustreless, and prone to breakage. It helps in preventing premature greying of the hairs. • Juices of vitamin C-containing fruits help in controlling dandruff. We know how dried peel paste is useful for our skin but very few of us know that dries peel paste can be used in our hair pack too. It cleanses the scalp and works as an excellent conditioner giving the hairs volume and shine. • Some fruits like passion fruit, guava, black currants, bread fruit and kiwi help in promoting hair thickness as well as growth. Bananas: • Bananas contain potassium, so when banana paste is applied to the hairs it softens the hair. Banana paste is used in many hair packs for hair growth, give shine and manageability. • Bananas contain natural oils that help in soften hairs and protect the natural elasticity of the hairs by preventing split ends and breakage. Strawberries: • Strawberry is a good source of important minerals such as copper, manganese and magnesium. These minerals produce complexes that can inhibit fungal growth on the scalp. Strawberry also protects the scalp cell membranes from other problems which generally grow when we come in contact with water. Apple : • Paste of the leaves and skin of green apple works wonders to cure dandruff. This paste can be used as a shampoo too. • Applying green apple juice is also a simple home-made remedy for strengthening the locks, enhancing hair growth and preventing hair loss. • Apple also balances the hair and scalp pH, treating dandruff and hair loss problems. Avocado: • Avocado contain lots of vital nutrients including important vitamins and minerals such as vitamin A, B, C, E, K and iron, copper, potassium, magnesium and phosphorus which is very useful in keeping our skin and hair hydrated. Avocado oil adds shine and lustre to hair as well as prevents hair loss and promoting hair growth. • Simple avocado paste when applied in hair conditions the hair too. Papaya: • Papaya is rich in nutrients which help preventing baldness, and boosts hair-growth giving strengthen to the hairs. Papaya works greatly also for treating and controlling dandruff. Papaya leaf extracts when used as a conditioner on dull, unruly and lifeless hair, it results into thick, strong, shiny and healthy hair.
