These are generalised symptoms & more likely to be acid peptic disease. However I would suggest you to rule cardiac cause first by undergoing an ecg, echocardiogram.

Dont worry. I think you need a constitutional treatment. What is your age and what is your diagnosis? You did not say. You can try PASSIFLORA INCQ 40drops before going to sleep at night. Then see or meet me.

11 Signs Of Renal Hypertension You Must Know!

DM - Nephrology, DNB (Nephrology), MD, MBBS
Nephrologist, Delhi
11 Signs Of Renal Hypertension You Must Know!

High blood pressure is characterized by an increased force that the blood exerts on the blood vessels when it moves through the body. Renal hypertension is a blood pressure disorder where the arteries that carry blood to the kidneys become narrow, as a result of which the blood pressure through these vessels increases.

Causes

It is caused when the arteries that supply blood to the kidney get narrow or get blocked. This can cause the kidney to release specific hormones that signal the body to retain water and sodium. This can put additional pressure on the blood vessels which leads to increased blood pressure. It can also be caused by atherosclerosis which is characterized by hardening of the arteries. Improper development of the arteries can also lead to renal hypertension.

Symptoms

The symptoms of renal hypertension are:

  1. Feeling confused
  2. Blurred vision
  3. Regular headaches
  4. Bleeding from the nose
  5. Gradual decline in kidney function
  6. Possible long-term damage to the kidney
  7. Feeling lethargic and drowsy
  8. Loss of appetite
  9. Dryness in skin
  10. Muscle cramps
  11. Breathing difficulties

Treatments

The diagnostic procedure for this disorder consists of blood, urine, doppler ultrasound and CT angiography or MR angiography tests. Treatments for this disorder usually include medications to ease blood pressure. Preventive measures include modifications in lifestyle such as following a proper diet, limiting smoking, restricting sodium or salt in the diet and following an exercise regimen. Steps should also be taken to reduce stress. Yoga and meditation are highly beneficial to control the condition. Sometimes intervention is needed in the form of PTRA and stenting. If you wish to discuss about any specific problem, you can consult a Nephrologist.

Dear , your hba1c is quite good, but your hdl is low, s. Cholesterol is little high, for this try to include lot of omega 3 fatty rich foods like flaxseed, melon seeds, fish, wall nuts. Also follow a high fibre, and good protein diet with multi grains instead of processed foods.

I am suffering from high BP day before yesterday I checked my BP it was 140/83. What to do.
You have not mentioned your age but 140/83 mmHg is not high BP it is just borderline/ Start with lifestyle modifications - 1) daily brisk walking for 40-45 mins 2) healthy eating habits. 3) Avoid excessive caffeine, cola and high salty food intake 4) stop smoking and drinking. Get a lipid profile and echo done and repeat BP after 6 weeks of these precautions, if still high consult a cardiologist.

Please take the opinion of a cardiologist to rule out any major illness lurking inside. Some investigations may be needed to assess his health. He should also follow a healthy lifestyle for future health and fitness. Let him keep checking annually to maintain good healthy status. Revert back after the consultation for any clarification.

You have provided some details about your wife's condition but certain other details are also needed, which I am mentioning. Please let me know her hba1c level and is she taking any thing else for diabetes other than glucobay? because only glucobay does not control sugar level. Furthe what is her lipid profile? and which drug is she taking for that? then which 5 mg tablet she is taking for her high blood pressure? if she has been diagnosed to have pvd which means blood supply to that part of the lower limb is affected. This can be corrected by vascular surgeon and proper blood supply can be restored. That is the best option for her pain relief and getting undisturbed sleep. To get better control of diabetes she may have to take additional treatment.
