Hi take hot water bath twice daily, sleep on hard and even mattress. Kindly rule out your diabetes, calcium, vitamin d and other metabolic disorders. Best wishes.

I am a physically active male, 47 years old. There is intense pain in my forearm, only while in certain angles. When I lift a reasonably heavy dumbbell perpendicularly from adjacent to my ear. My left hand does it easy but my right arm is unable to do so. I cannot pinpoint where the pain is and hence not analgesic can be used. I also ride a two wheeler. Is this like a form of tendonitis or plain muscle injury? Should I see a orthopaedic surgeon about this issue or a sports doctor?

Hi Please start using an ice pack over the forearm just two fingers below the elbow for 15 minutes and do it thrice a day for three days. If it doesn't go, please visit an orthopaedic. Take care.

if there is no pain then start strength exercise in gradually process otherwise firstly reduce pain by hot fermentation, ya physio sessions

Dear Doctor, I am 73 years old (DOB 30/03/1941) male. Recently, I developed pain in my Right Knee. I went to the Orthopaedic Surgeon who had carried our orthoscopic about twenty two years ago. He had the removed bits of cartilage and since then I had no problem. This time he saw my X-rays (copy attached) and said that I needed replacement surgery ? first to the right knee and then to the left knee. On request he prescribed Tab Nucoxia 90 and Vitamin E 400mg. I am diabetic (2) and have high blood pressure, both under control with medication. A pacemaker was implanted on 01/06/2012. It is working fine as per my last check up on 03/11/2014 (next check-up due on 3/5/2013). I am having following medicines ? Tab NatrilAm, Tablet Telma (80), Ecosprin (75), Urimax (0.04), Metosartan (1000) BD, Trajenta (5), Amaryl (2), vitamins and calcium). My request is to advise:- 1. Is there an alternative to surgery? Is Joint replacement surgery a must? 2. Is Tab Nucoxia 90 safe with the medicines I am taking, and how long should I continue?

Hi Total knee replacement is last resort for such cases. This procedure is very much effective and safe and results are very good. We do tkr frequently and patient is able to walk 2-3 day with ability to cross leg. Diabetes and hypertension are not to worry for this surgery regards Dr gaurav singla consultant joint replacements Chandigarh

Hello, probably you have injured your knee badly. Take rest ice packs analgesics if pain doesn't subside, you may need to get x-ray and MRI of your knee joint.

Muscular head and neck pain
If you are aching from these types of symptoms, then probably you are suffering from muscular head aches.

Your headache may appear to radiate from the back to the front of your head.
Your headache be provoked or eased by a neck movement, a sustained posture, stomach sleeping or with your head turned to one side.
Your headache normally appears to be worse on one side of your head. The side is normally constant and does not switch sides.
Your headache appears to temporarily ease up when you apply pressure or you massage your neck or the base of your skull.
If you experience any of the above symptoms, you are more likely than not to be suffering a neck headache. Inform your physiotherapist and they will assist you.
Physiotherapy treatment includes

Stiff neck joints may need to be loosened or unlocked via joint mobilisation (gentle gliding techniques), joint traction or in specific cases a gentle and localised joint manipulation technique.
Hypermobile (or dynamically unstable) joints may require specific deep neck muscle strengthening exercises to stabilize, control and restrict the joint movement available.
Tight or overactive muscles may require stretching, massage, acupuncture, dry needling, or other relaxation techniques.
Weak muscles may require specific strengthening exercises. This may include your postural shoulder blade and neck muscles.
Nerve dysfunction may be directed by your physiotherapist depending upon your specific examination findings. Neurosensitivity is a usual finding that needs to addressed with cautious professional care and attention.
Posture correction may be recommended via specific exercises, posture awareness techniques, taping or a posture brace.
Helpful advice on how to prevent neck dysfunction in the future age awkward neck positions and postures to keep off.

Sir last saturday I slipped down from footstep after I had severe pain in left knee ortho Dr. verified and told the inner ligament partially damaged so after 10 days taking mri and operation is tge only solution. Pls help is it operation is the only way.

Advice…. Hot Fomentation x twice daily. Avoid bending in front. Postural Correction. Sit Tall, Walk Tall. Extension Exercises x 15 times x twice daily Bhujang Asana x 15 timesx twice daily Core Strengthening Exercises. Back Stretching.

It can be due to faulty posture, related to weak muscles, issues with intervertebral disc, narrowing of spinal canal, any bony instability besides many other, so accurate diagnosis is the key to proper management of the condition. You will have to elaborate your problem as to a detailed discussion of your dad's back pain which means duration of pain and mode of onset. I would also like to ask you if it is associated with any leg pain or any other neurological symptoms like numbness, paraesthesias (electrical shock like abnormal sensations) or any weakness in limbs. Hello, Is there any history of injury or hurt to the area? Any underlying medical condition? Medication: Meantime, take homoeopathic medicines - Arnica 200 and Rhus Tox. 200 - take both of them thrice daily for 1 week. Also, apply Schwabe's Topi-Arnica and Topi MP Gel on the affected area in circular motions gently thrice a day. And wrap crepe bandage over it. Get back to me thereafter.

* when our shoulders are forward, this also brings our chin forward, this posture encourages tightness in the chest and over stretching in the back resulting in a rounded back. * we can correct this with exercises. Following are some very effective posture correction exercises: 1> shoulder circles - lift your shoulders up, back, and down. Repeat 10 times. 2> shoulder blade squeeze - begin by bringing your shoulders back, then squeezing your shoulder blades together. Relax and return to the resting position. Repeat 10 times. 3> chin tuck - repeat 10 times. 4> arms lifting - repeat 10 times. 5> spine extension - repeat 10 times. Note: do not hold your breath while exercising.

Identify the mid point between the ankle bone and tendons and give pressure with a blunt edge on either side of your foot for 2 minutes. Also give pressure in the web between 2nd and 3rd finger from your toe for 2 minutes. Finally give a good massage for both feet in hot water. Identify the dipping portion on the back of your knee folding. Press this dip with both middle fingers and hold your knee with your thumbs for support. Please swing 20 times morning and evenings. This will relieve your problem. Consult after 10 days.
