Home Remedies to Improve Eyesight


There are several traditional methods used to correct vision, including wearing corrective lenses, or having eye surgery. However, with a few natural home remedies, eye exercises and general lifestyle changes you can improve your eyesight naturally.

Eye Exercises

The following eye exercises work to strengthen the eye muscles and maintain the flexibility of your eye lens in order to improve your vision. Some of the most popular exercises include:

Breathing Yoga Exercises:
This will encourage conscious breathing. The point of this is to relax your body and close your eyes. This allows the muscles to relax. Breathe in through the nose and out through the mouth for two minutes. When you finally open your eyes after two minutes, do not focus on anything. Repeat the exercise three times.

Blinking Exercises:
Each time you blink you are soothing and moisturizing your eyes. This can be done anywhere if your eyes are feeling weary or tired. Blink consistently for 4 to 5 seconds at a time for a period of two minutes.

Palming Exercises:
These exercises were specifically designed to stimulate the various acupuncture points around your eyes. This aid in relaxing the muscles in and around your eye and helping to calm the mind. To execute this exercise you should place your elbows on a flat surface in front of you with your left palm covering your left eye. Your fingers should be resting on your forehead. Do the same with your right eye and right palm. The palms should cup the eyes, but not put any pressure on them. You should do this exercise for a period of three minutes.

Diet

It is important to eat the proper diet to promote eye health. This includes the addition of certain vision-enhancing foods if you currently do not consume them:

Bilberries: Fruit that is rich and full of antioxidants. These will aid in protecting the eyes from free radicals. They will also aid in better blood circulation in your eyes.

Grapes and Blueberries:
These will aid your night vision.

Carrots:
Rich in beta-carotene, which is known for great vision, as well as vitamin A.

Cold Water Fish:
Fish is rich in DHA, which will provide support to the structure of the cell membranes in your eyes. It is also used for many different treatments for disorders such as macular degeneration, dry eyes and general treatment of eyesight.

Leafy Green Vegetables:
These have nutrients that will help to protect your eye’s macula, due to their rich carotenoid content.

Capers, Shallots, Garlic, Eggs and Onions:

Lifestyle Habits
When it comes to eye health, you must treat them as any other system in your body. This means providing exercise, and the proper nutrients. However, these are not the only elements that aid proper eye health.
In addition to the tips listed here, you also need to ensure that you receive plenty of sleep each day. You need to try to achieve six to eight hours each night to allow your eyes to fully rest and rejuvenate. If you do not get enough sleep, you may find that you have an abnormal amount of eye health issues.
Another important factor is to drink plenty of water. The body is composed of mainly water, meaning that you must replenish it regularly. This will help provide moisture to cleanse dust and debris from your eyes throughout the day. Water is essential for all of the body’s functions, including proper and healthy eyesight. In most cases drinking eight, eight-ounce glasses of water a day will provide enough moisture and water for your body.
However, if you live in a dry area, more is necessary to provide optimum eye health.
Taking care of your eyes is a life-long process. This includes preventing eye health issues, as well as the need to wear corrective lenses. Vaginal Hygiene - How To Maintain It?

Maintaining proper vaginal hygiene is imperative to ward off any sort of STDor STI, even before any sort of irritation, infection or disease occurs. The normal vaginal pH balance helps cater to the growth of useful bacteria. Some useful tips to maintain proper vaginal hygiene can be:

  1. Douching (spraying a mixture of water, baking soda, vinegar or iodine on the vaginal area) is strictly discouraged. It can interfere with the normal pH levels of the vagina and can make the area extremely acidic, which sets the stage for the growth of bacterial infections.

  2. A balanced, healthy, nutritious diet is recommended for a healthy vagina as well as for good reproductive health. Certain fluids such as cranberry juice can help prevent the onset of any yeast infection.

  3. Safe sex should be practised in order to keep harmful bacteria away. Using a condom during a sexual intercourse helps prevent the occurrence of any sort of STI or STD.

  4. Gynaecological check-ups should be done every four months or so to be on the safe side regarding any doubts about unhealthy vagina. Prevention is always better than cure in the long run.

  5. Petroleum jelly should not be used for lubrication during sexual intercourse as such fluids tend to damage the latex in the condom and may even lead to a possible infection.

  6. Clothes should be chosen carefully to keep the vaginal area clean and dry. Cotton underwear is generally the best option in this regard as it can help prevent any bacterial infection by keeping the area clean and dry.

  7. Certain simple sanitary habits such as changing of tampons or sanitary pads every four hour during one’s periods, proper washing of the genital area after relieving the bowels, can go a long way in nurturing the health of the vagina.

  8. Opt for gentle skin care products to wash the vaginal area as that area is extremely sensitive. Avoid scrubbing the vaginal area as well. If you wish to discuss about any specific problem, you can consult a gynaecologist and ask a free question.

Keeping your vagina clean and healthy

The vagina is designed to keep itself clean with the help of natural secretions (discharge). Find out how to help your vagina keep clean and healthy ? and why you don?t need douches or vaginal wipes.

The vagina is a tube of muscle inside a woman?s body that runs from the cervix (the opening of the womb) to the vaginal opening. The external sex organs, which are called the vulva, surround the vaginal opening.

Looking after your everyday health can help keep your vagina in good shape, says Dr Suzy Elneil, consultant in urogynaecology at University College Hospital, London, and spokesperson for Wellbeing of Women. ?Generally, good vaginal health is maintained by making sure you?re in good general health,? she explains. ?This includes healthy diet and exercise. Normal exercise helps maintain good vaginal function, as walking and running helps the pelvic floor to tone up and helps ensure good general health.?

Vaginal secretions or discharge

Other than your period as part of your natural menstrual cycle, it?s normal to produce clear or white secretions (discharge) from your vagina. This mucus is produced naturally from the neck of the womb, known as the cervix.

?Vaginal discharge is not ?always a bad sign?,? says Dr Elneil. ?There is a myth that copious clear or white discharge is associated with sexually transmitted infections. Changes in the amount of discharge can be 100% hormonal ? in other words, linked to the menstrual cycle, pregnancy or menopause.?

The character and amount of vaginal discharge varies throughout your menstrual cycle. Around the time that your ovary releases an egg (ovulation), your discharge usually becomes thicker and stretchy, like raw egg white.

Healthy discharge doesn?t have a strong smell or colour. You may feel an uncomfortable wetness, but you shouldn?t have any itching or soreness around your vagina. If there are any changes to your discharge that aren?t normal for you, such as a change in colour or if it starts to smell or itch, see your GP as you might have an infection.

Bacteria in the vagina

There are lots of bacteria inside the vagina, and they?re there to protect it. Professor Ronnie Lamont, spokesperson for the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists, says: ?The vagina contains more bacteria than anywhere else in the body after the bowel, but the bacteria are there for a reason.?

The good bacteria inside the vagina:

Provide "numerical dominance: they outnumber other potential harmful bacteria that might enter the vagina
Help to keep the vagina?s pH balance (how acidic the vagina is) at an even level, which helps to keep the balance of bacteria healthy
Can produce bacteriocins (naturally occurring antibiotics) to reduce or kill other bacteria entering the vagina
Produce a substance that stops invading bacteria sticking to the vagina walls, which prevents bacteria from invading the tissues

If the balance of bacteria is disturbed, this can lead to infection and inflammation. Bacteria called lactobacilli help to keep the vagina?s pH balance at its normal low level (less than pH 4.5), which also prevents the growth of other organisms. If the pH of the vagina increases (in other words, if it gets less acidic), the quality or amount of lactobacilli can fall and other bacteria can multiply. This can result in infections such as bacterial vaginosis or thrush, which can cause symptoms including itching, irritation and abnormal discharge.
Washing your vagina

It?s a good idea to avoid perfumed soaps, gels and antiseptics as these can affect the healthy balance of bacteria and pH levels in the vagina, and cause irritation.

Use plain, unperfumed soaps to wash the area around the vagina (the vulva) gently every day. The vagina will clean itself inside your body with natural vaginal secretions (discharge). ?During your period, washing more than once a day may be helpful,? says Dr Elneil, who points out that keeping the perineal area (between the vagina and anus) clean is important too. ?Good perineal hygiene is necessary, by washing that area at least once a day using your normal bathing routines.?

?All women are different,? says Professor Lamont. ?Some may wash with perfumed soap and not notice any problems. But if a woman has vulval irritation or symptoms, then one of the first things you can do is to use non-allergenic, plain soaps to see if that helps.?
Vaginal douches

A douche flushes water up into the vagina, clearing out vaginal secretions. Some women use a douche to "clean" the vagina, but using a douche can disrupt the normal vaginal bacteria so it isn't recommended that you use one.

?I can?t think of any circumstances where douches are helpful, because all they do is wash out everything that?s in the vagina, including all the healthy bacteria,? explains Professor Lamont.

There is no evidence that douching protects against STIs or vaginal infections, and it may even increase the risk.
Scented wipes and vaginal deodorants

These perfumed products can disrupt the vagina?s healthy, natural balance. ?If nature had intended the vagina to smell like roses or lavender, it would have made the vagina smell like roses or lavender,? says Professor Lamont.

Washing with water and a plain soap should be all you need to keep your vagina healthy. It?s normal for the vagina to have a scent. ?Vaginal odour can change at different times of the reproductive cycle and shouldn?t always be thought of as being a sign of infection or illness,? says Dr Elneil.

If you?re worried about the way your vagina smells, if the smell is unpleasant, or you?re using perfumed products to cover up your vagina?s smell, you should see your GP. You might have an infection that needs treatment.

You can get pregnant. Continue with injection penicillin if needed as part of rhd, be careful about regular antenatals and be prepared for an operative delivery. But your doctor knows about severity of your illness, let doctor decide whether you can get pregnant or not. I have given a general opinion.

Hello, I think you need to see a physician! looks like you have two issues here one of urinary infection and second of allergic rhinitis. Make sure your surroundings are not dusty. Use a fresh bedsheet and a new pillow with fresh cover and observe if therz a difference. Have you had your vit d levels checked recently.
