Sir, I have slip disc problem in L5S1 two years back. I consulted a neurologist and was checked. MRI was also done. I am regularly taking physiotherapy and doing exercises prescribed by the physiotherapist. But minor pain still persists in my back left side and I use back pad for the safety while travelling and working. Can you please suggest me some good exercises and precaution methods to take care of my back. I shall be thankful and grateful to you. My age is 40 years. I drive two wheeler occasionally, whether it is safe, please guide me. Any more suggestions from your side will be highly appreciated. Thanks and Regards.

Sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding on it. Spring beds, folding beds or thick matress are harmful use no pillow under the head. Do hot fomantation. Paracetamol 250mg od & sos x 5days. Caldikind plus 1tab od x10. Do neck, back knee & general exercises. It may have to be further investigated. Make sure you are not allergic to any of the medicines you are going to take. For emergency treatment contacts your nearest hospital or family doctor. If it doe s not give relief in 4-5days, contact me again. Why not discuss with me in a video conference?

Hi, you no need to take any medicine, elevate your both legs 45degree with pillow support for one hour in the morning and one hour in the evening continues for one month with this you do calf muscle stretching and ankle toe movement and please take a help of physiotherapist, I think you will be fine, bye.

Hi I can understand your problem. *take rest *increase fluid intake *gently stretch or massage your leg muscle. * apply cold pack to tender muscles. * keep leg elevated to reduce swelling. * there are various treatment options in physiotherapy which depends on your health and severity of your symptoms. A knee lump can represent a joint deformity due to a chronic inflammatory condition such as arthritis or a deformity that arises following any kind of injury to the joint. Consult an orthopedic for the same as he will perform additional test to findout underlying pathology and if everythings seems to be normal, talk to him about pain as he may prescribe you some painkillers.

This could be a fissure with sentinel pile. Anal fissure improves with general measures but may require surgery. The general measures I would suggest are 1. Take lot of vegetables & fruits in your diet 2. Avoid chillies & spices 3. Take lot of fluids 4. Avoid constipation 5 periodically do anal exercises (alternately contracting & relaxing the buttocks, anal area & upper thighs) 6. Take sitz bath 3-4 times a day. This means sitting in a tub of warm water & doing anal exercises 7. Atleast once get it examined by a general surgeon. Purulent discharge might be due to a fistula. The surgeon will find it on examination.

Apply Hot Fomentation twice daily .Avoid bending in front. Postural Correction- Sit Tall, Walk Tall. .Extension Exercises x 15 times x twice daily – lying on tummy, take left arm up for 3 seconds, then bring it down, right arm up for 3 seconds, bring down. Bring right leg up, hold for 3 seconds, bring it down. Then right leg up and hold for 3 seconds and bring it down. Repeat twice a day- 10 times. Bhujang Asana ? Lie flat on your stomach, keeping the palms out, bend the neck backward, take a deep breath and while holding it for 6 seconds, raise the chest up. Release breath and relax your body. Repeat the exercise 15 times twice daily. Core Strengthening Exercises- Straight Leg Raised With Toes Turned Outward, repeat 10 times, twice a day.

Do 30 minutes massage with dhanwantharam tailam and leave it for half an hour and wash it off with warm water. Do it 7 days and inform the result.

If the L4/5 disc bulge is causing you no symptoms, then it is very fine for you to go jogging. However, you must do good warm up exercises before jogging, especially for spine flexibility, so that the disc prolapse will not aggravate and cause you symptoms. Yoga is the best form of warm up you can do.

Apply pranacharya restopain oil or prasarini oil on your affected part then give hot fomentation. Take maha rasnadi kwath 2-2 tsf twice a day. And agni tundi vati and maha yograj guggul 1-1 tab twice a day. Avoid junk food. Spicy food. Fermented food. Tea. Alcohol. Avoid alcohol consumption. Do pranayama early morning.

If you have leg pain then you have to rule out the casues for having leg pain. First of all check your weight and your haemoglobin levels, as Anaemia always leads to the symptoms of being tired and also having leg pain though there are no issues with the knee joint or back pain. Hot water fermentation that would help to reduce the muscle strain. Keep ice in the area where you have pain

In short if there's no problem other than this, please start dashmularishta 15 ml + equal water thrice a day. Parijat leaves may be obtained through some gardener and boil about 10-15 leaves in a litre of water. When it remains 1/4, make it naturally cool and drink daily ( may be two times in divided doses). Improper food habits and sedentary lifestyle can lead to impairment of digestive fire, formation of ama (toxin) and vitiation of Vata (air). When a person indulges in Vata-aggravating diet and lifestyle, then this aggravated Vata circulates ama in the channels of the body and deposits it in the joints, causing pain in knees. U can try the home remedies below ::: Follow up after 10 days.. 1.. Go for fasting once a week. You can go for absolute fasting or rely on a liquid diet to digest ama (toxin). Fasting should be followed by hot fomentation or by taking a bath with lukewarm water or steam bath. 2.. After fasting and fomentation, mix powdered long pepper, black pepper and dried ginger in equal quantities and take 1 teaspoon of this powdered mix with lukewarm water twice a day. This will help you restore your digestive fire. 3.. Take one tablespoon of castor oil before going to bed, once or twice a week. It helps in cleansing ama (toxin) build up and balancing vata. 4.. Mix equal quantities of powdered fenugreek seeds, turmeric and ginger powder. Take one teaspoon daily in the morning and evening. 5.. For dry fomentation of the affected joints, take a cloth and fold it into four, fill it with hot and sand make a potli (bag) out of it. Use this bundle for the fomentation of different joints. This is very helpful in reducing pain and swelling. 6. Take lakshaadi guggul 2 tab twice daily with maharasnaadi qwath 1 hr after meals.
