Today I will be talking about Rhinoplasty, that is the plastic surgery of the nose. Desire to look good is universal and the form of the nose becomes a prominent past of the face, even a minor change in the look of the nose can make a huge difference in the facial appearance. Rhinoplasty is commonly known as a nose job and this is the most commonly desired plastic surgery in general by the public and it commonly done under a local anesthesia, can also be done under a general anesthesia. Normally incisions are placed inside the nose, so that no scare is visible on the nose and the common problems in the nose which people come for correction are a prominent or a big nose, small nose, saddled or fat nose or a deviated nose and generally the results are good. It is generally avoided that is to get it done under the age of 17 or 18 should not be done because the nose is growing and when the growth of the nose is completely done then the surgery can take place. Before the incision is done, one has to be fit before the surgery, some blood tests, some urine tests, and other things are required. A counseling session is done before the surgery and a few photographs are required from different poses so as to compare it with the results later on and it is not a very difficult surgery. After the surgery is done the nose is packed and the packing is removed after 48 hours. After the surgery some swelling might be there that subsides within 3 to 4 days and because after the surgery there is some bleeding underneath the skin there may be some redness around the eyes, around the nose as well which subsides within 2 weeks, so has to be prepared the take leave from work for at least 2 weeks. After which the final results appear after 1-2 month or so because the rate of healing differs from patient to patient, it can take some time for the final result to appear. Generally the people are happy with results but of course, the result can differ from person to person so a preoperative counseling is a must.
