Loss of Penis Sensation and Diet: A Connection?

Penis sensation(PS) is a crucial factor in a man's enjoyment of sex, whether with a partner or with his own hand. In general, the more sensation the penis experiences when touched, the more pleasurable the sexual experience is likely to be. (Of course, finding a way to keep the high level of PS from bringing about premature ejaculation can sometimes become a challenge, but that's a different matter.) Sometimes, unfortunately, men experience an unwanted loss of PS, which may be due to some specific penis health issues. But sometimes a man's diet may play a role in that diminishment of PS - and so it may be worth consulting with a doctor or nutritionist to see if changing a guy's diet might be in order.

Diet and penis sensation

So why should there be any connection between a man's diet and the amount of sensation he has in his penis? There are a few reasons, actually.

Loss of PS can come about due to several causes. Among these are instances in which the nerve endings themselves are damaged or deadened, circulation problems, and blood vessel impairment. Diet can play a role in all of these areas.

Food choices

For example, when nerve endings are damaged, the condition is referred to as neuropathy. When the penis experiences neuropathy, the loss of PS can be significant. Changing the diet to include foods that benefit the nervous system can help. These include foods rich in antioxidants, such as blueberries, dark green vegetables, and fish. Also good are foods rich in potassium - which helps nerves transmit messages more smoothly - and magnesium - which relaxes the nerve system so that messages are transmitted more accurately. Potassium- and magnesium-rich foods include spinach, fresh fruit and beans and peas.

What about circulation problems?

Good circulation is important for blood to fully flow into a penis and cause a firmer erection. Penile firmness increases the level of PS. So what is needed are foods that can help to address circulation problems, which are often caused by arteries becoming clogged. Low-fat diets are good for this; place an emphasis on fresh fruits and vegetables. Meats should be lean; avoid fatty meats whenever possible. Those who drink should do so in moderation.

Blood vessel impairment can also result from too much blood sugar. This certainly applies to men with diabetes, but men whose blood sugar is below diabetic level but still high can also experience blood vessel issues which impact penis sensation. Antioxidants can again be helpful here, as can foods that help increase nitric oxide. These include watermelon, beets, green leafy vegetables, fish, garlic and whole grains. Also good: bananas and chicken, which can help provide certain vitamins that are beneficial for blood vessel health.

Diet alone is not the answer to maintaining penis sensation. For example, it helps to maintain an active lifestyle as well; the more fit the entire body is, the better for the penis and for penis sensation.

Also helpful for penis sensation beyond diet maintenance is keeping careful check on overall penis health. There is no cure for anxiety but the fastest way to get your anxiety under control is to simply manage it.

Hello, I have problem with skin on feet and toes, it has become very rough with few cuts so sometimes it is painful to walk. Before that I had itching in the area of toes. I used quadriderm cream, it helped for sometime but now itching is also back. It is not continuous but sometimes during the day. Could you tell me if both symptoms are related and what should I do?

Hii lybrate-user, as you have mentioned that you are having dry skin. Please inform is there any specific season when you feel your skin is more dry. Dry skin can be an early sign of pre psoriasis and should be managed properly. To start with coconut oil is best remedy for dry skin to be applied after taking bath. It is safe for long term use.

Mouth ulcers are aggravating at best and may be extremely painful. Also called canker sores or aphthous ulcers, mouth ulcers can be triggered by various factors, including stress, illness, or simply biting your cheek. Rinse your mouth with a saltwater solution. Mix a teaspoon or two of salt with a warm glass of water and let it dissolve. Swish the solution in your mouth from side to side, then spit it into the sink. Don’t swallow the salt solution. Repeat this a few times a day, generally after meals and before you go to bed. Apply some honey to the ulcer. Dab a small amount of pure honey onto the ulcer. This may help ease pain and reduce inflammation. Dry the area with a clean cotton swab first, then use a fresh swab to apply the honey. Look for Manuka honey, as it has the most potent antibacterial qualities. If you can’t find it, though, any kind of honey will help fight bacteria. Suck on ice chips. Stay away from acidic and spicy foods. Try vitamin supplements. Vitamins B and C may help to heal mouth ulcers For medication consult online in private.

Hi for pain apply cold fomentation for 20 minutes thrice a day for 5 days and take following precautions. 1) wear comfortable sports shoes 2) make daily routine of exercise 3) rule out calcium and vit d deficiency 4) do proper warm up before exercise and cool down after exercise 5) do stretching of legs do exercise under supervision of skilled physiotherapist.
