Dear Sir/madam, my spouse having diabetes, how do I control that? What is the dates we have to follow, how many days ...
To control diabetes do regular exercise like swimming, skipping, yoga, push up,sit up,yoga.Avoid fast foods, junk foods, processed foods, sweetened juice.Avoid underground vegetables.pumpkin,banana.Take lots of whole fruits, vegetables.Take extra protein like egg white, fish, lean meat, cottage cheese, tofu, mushroom.Use healthy fat like olive, canola, refined vegetable oil in small amount.Drink lots of water specially before meals.Use fenugreek seeds with 1/2 glass water on an empty stomach in the morning.Adjust your medicine with diet.If you maintain proper diet and do exercise your medicinal dose will reduce or even you do not need to take medicine. Your child's risk is doubled if you developed diabetes before age 11 in case of type 1 diabetes. Type 2 diabetes runs in families.

Cucumber doesn't have any connection with uric acid. Don't work out heavily, it will increase uric acid. Do mild exercise and drink plenty of water.

What's your last 2 fbs pp2bs level? last hba1c level? precautions you need is to regular followup as diabetes in long run can affect other organs. So get baseline serum creatinine, urine albumin, get fundus examination by opthalmologist, check your blood. Pressure, lipid profile for cholesterol level. And compliance to medicine and diet plus exercise. Consult me if any query yet.

Hi Tsh of the 11.5 for a 67 year old male, i am taking thyronorm 50 mcg. What is the solution now .
Hello, The solution is to bring TSH level down to 3 to 4 mU/L, then only all the symptoms related to hypothyroidism are in control. You will have to check TSH level after 6 to 8 weeks of starting treatment with thyroxine or the current dose that is being taken. If TSH level is not as mentioned above then dose may have to be increased. Thanks.

It appears that you are having both t2dm and hypothyroidism. Please understand both these conditions can be controlled only by taking regular medications. For diabetes one has to take oral anti- diabetic drugs or insulin injections and for hypothyroidism thyroxine tablets for the whole life. There is no escape from this. As regards food in case of diabetes you have to avoid direct sugar & sweets, plus deep fried foods and fruits like mangoes, bananas, chikoos & grapes. And maintain your weight near normal for your height which is a bmi of 23 kgs/ m2 yours is 25.16 kgs/m2. Plus no smoking and alcohol. This life style has to be followed strictly.

I have an type 2 diabetes with the value of 445. How can I get the control of that. Rapid weight loss is my main issue.
Mr. lybrate-user, I have gone through your query, and understand your concern. If diabetes is uncontrolled, then there is considerable loss of glucose through urine, due to which you feel exhausted and also loose weight. Blood glucose 445 mg is too high. It needs to be controlled rapidly. Ideally blood glucose should be Fasting closer to 100 mg, PP 150 to 160 mg & HbA1c%<6.8, then only one is able to prevent or postpone all the long term complications of diabetes. Otherwise there can be very severe consequences. You have not mentioned whether there is any treatment going on currently, if yes give details. If not then it has to be initiated forthwith. For which you will have to come in a private conversation with following details: Fasting, PP blood glucose levels, HbA1c%, dietary patter, extent of daily exercise. Based on those I will be able to guide and get your diabetes under control. In this communication we are supposed to give only general guidelines and no prescriptions. Thanks.

135/199 is blood sugar level today. I take one liter milk, 400gm white bread, 8-10 pieces of almonds, 4 pieces of banana in the entire day for last 15 days as my diet. Earlier my sugar level was 120 random exactly 15 days back. What is the doctors opinion? Earlier I used to walk for 30 minutes daily. Should I change the present diet? What should I eat? Additionally I used to drink 5-6 cups of black coffee with 1 teaspoonful for each cup. Please reply.

Stop eating white bread, & banana. Instead eat whole grain bread & one apple. Limit your milk to 250 ml. & do walking for 30-45 min. You are also drinking coffee too much, also limit this to 1-2 cups. Review after one month.

Your blood sugar level and symptoms are suggestive of diabetes. Please get your fasting, pp blood sugar and HbA1c and consult a physician as soon as possible. Stop eating sugar, jaggery, honey, sweet fruits like banana, mangoe, grapes, cheekoo etc.

Uric acid is little but increase which medicine can low it and what to do for it.

BHMS
Homeopath, Chennai
Uric acid is little but increase which medicine can low it and what to do for it.
Normal Uric acid levels are 2.4-6.0 mg/dL (female) and 3.4-7.0 mg/dL (male) Some diets that are rich in purine end up causing an increased production of uric acid. In other cases, it may be due to a completely sedentary lifestyle. Less intake of water also may be to blame in some cases as water plays an important role in washing out the excess of the uric acid. Regular usage of some medicines also cause the uric acid levels to rise. Another important factor is being overweight as obese people are much more likely to get gout as compared to those who have normal weight. It is a tragedy of the modern world that the superior advertising and marketing power of the allopathic system of medicine has eclipsed the good and genuine work of Homeopathy. This is largely because Homeopathic system of medicine cannot compete with the money power of Allopathy. Just because allopathy does not have any cure for gout, patients tend to think that there is no cure for gout at all. People are not aware of the great work that Homeopathy can do in the cure of gout. I cannot stress enough here that homeopathic medicines are pretty effective at curing the acute as well as the chronic gout You can easily take an online consultation for further treatment guidance and permanent cure without any side effects

lybrate-user, If you have hypothyroidism and if it is well controlled, then there will be no menstrual problems. The very fact that you have menstrual problems, means hypothyroidism is not in control. On treatment TSh should be between 3 to 4 mU/L. Since you have not mentioned about the thyroxine dose being taken or current TSH level no comment related to that can be made. If you are willing then I can help, provided all the details are made available. Thanks.
