How can I whiten my skin colour? Any home remedies which can help my skin to look face, glow and whiten.
First of all, I want to tell you to embrace your dark skin. Its beautiful and many people find it attractive these days! But if you really want to lighten your skin, there are lots of options you can try. Avoiding too much sun exposure is the best place to start. Use a good quality sunscreen when you go in the sun. You can also try certain natural remedies such as lemons. Squeeze the juice from a lemon, dip a cotton ball into the juice, apply it on your face, then rinse off after 10-15 minutes. Same way ,you may try potato. Peel the potato, cut it into small pieces, then apply the juice on areas you wish to lighten. Chemical peels will be a treatment of choice for you which will help you to get a brighter skin tone in 6-8 sessions.

Diabetes treatment goals fasting blood sugar- between 70 and 130 mg/dl post prandial blood sugar- less than 180 mg/dl hba1c? less than 7 diabetes is a systemic disease that affects almost all organs of the body. It is usually of two types type 1 is when there is no insulin in the body and the only treatment is insulin. Type 2 is usually due to resistance to the action of insulin and there are many treatment options. Besides treatment, equally important are diet and exercise. Treatment option would depend on the type of diabetes, a newly diagnosed diabetic person has to undergo tests like fasting blood sugar level hba1c levels full blood count liver function test kidney function test ecg lipid profile urine test, and few others to determine whether any complications are there or not and to identify any contraindications to any of the medications. Please get back with the above said results and your age pulse bp and weight for a proper treatment regimen.

In continuation of my preceding question I will like to bring in your knowledge the brief history regarding the case. It was at the age of 15/16 yrs when I for the first time experienced weakness in my eye sight (more in left eye which was termed as lazy eye) and doctor advised me to wear +1.5 sph+1 cyl no. on both my eyes, the no. progressively but slowly increased over years to +2.5sph+1.5cyl , however at the time of Lasik Surgery in the yr 2000 I was having even more no. with dilated eyes .

MD - Ophthalmology
Ophthalmologist, Amritsar
You should understand that patients with plus number have different numbers when tested without eye drops and after dilatation of eyes. This is known as actual and manifest refraction (number). The manifest number increases gradually as we advance in age, hence glasses need to be changed .

Headache triggered by sun can be due to migraine. Migraine headache is characterised by unilateral pulsating headache associated with nause/vomiting and photophobia / phonophobia. There are triggers for migraine like sun exposure as in your case, certain foods or smell, lack of sleep, excess caffeine etc. The triggers are variable for different patients. Migraine attacks can be managed by simple painkillers like paracetamol but in resistant cases drugs like Sumatriptan may be needed. For frequent episodes of migraine preventive medications are to be taken by prescription. There are various medicines available for this and if control is not achieved with one medicine another drug is to be added. Don't take painkillers daily for migraine headaches, it's better to take the preventive medicines. Painkillers on long term basis can further aggravate the migraine headache into Medication Overuse Headace (Read my health tip on Medication Overuse Headache) Follow these lifestyle changes to avoid migraine headache 1. Maintain regular sleep wake cycle, even on holiday's. 2. Don't skip meals. Take regular healthy diet with adequate fluids 3. Do not consume excess caffeine / carbohydrates / alcohol or smoke. 4. Exercise daily (aerobics and cardiovascular) 5. Identify your headache trigger and try to avoid it. 6. Do pranayam daily. You can consult a pain specialist for therapies like dry needling or botulinum injections for your problem. Consult again for further queries.

It works! it corrects vision. Around 96% of patients will have their desired vision after lasik. An enhancement can further increase this number. Lasik is associated with very little pain due to the numbing drops that are used. Vision is corrected nearly immediately or by the day after lasik. No bandages or stitches are required after lasik. Adjustments can be made years after lasik to further correct vision if vision changes while you age. After having lasik, most patients have a dramatic reduction in eyeglass or contact lens dependence and many patients no longer need them at all. Disadvantages: changes made to the cornea cannot be reversed after lasik. Lasik is technically complex. Problems may occur when the doctor creates the flap, which can permanently affect vision. Lasik can rarely cause a loss of" best" vision. Your best vision is the highest degree of vision that you achieved while wearing your contacts or eyeglasses. Side effects:-- some patients experience discomfort in the first 24 to 48 hours after lasik eye surgery. Other side effects, although rare, may include: glare seeing halos around images difficulty driving at night fluctuating vision dry eyes.
