Hello Lybrate user according to Ayurveda Vata vikriti is the main factor for pain. Treatment- 1-apply prasarini oil or pranacharya restopain oil on your affected part and give hot water fomentation. 2-take yograj guggul and agni tundi vati after lunch and dinner with warm water. 3-Take maha rasnadi kwath 2-2 tsf twice a day. 4-Take pranacharya vatari capsule and syrup twice a day. Diet- Avoid fermented food. Junk food. Potato rice. Sleep well.

I have JUVENILE MYCLONIC EPILEPSY since 3 years. I came to know about it when I met a neurologist which had me an EEG test. There is no one in my family have this problem. Not even any neurological problem so far. I don't know where I got this disease. Doctor said the cause is unknown. Also I am physically weak. Is weakness might be a cause? I have also other problems such as memory loss, confusion and attention problem. Are these problems due to that disease? I just want to know what's cause of this.

Hi. As you said, your bp is fluctuating, and you also notice some facial hair growth. You should consult a gynaecologist in you town and let her judge weather you need any further investigation for these things. Heart doctors have less role to play in your case. Take care.

Panic attacks can be cured with psychotherapy and counselling . You have to reduce or avoid use of loud sounds and screens . Parkinson's disease cannot occur in your age

Sir , seems u have cervical spondylosis which is causing numbness in ur hand , u need clinical radilogical evaluation . Wear neck collar , avoid carrying weights . Consult ortho neurosurgeon .

Parkinson's disease-kampavata (a neurological disorder) parkinson's disease is a neurological disease, or brain disorder, that leads to progressive difficulty with balance and coordination. In people who have parkinson's disease, nerve cells in a region of the brain known as the substantia nigra become damaged or die. These cells are important because they produce the chemical dopamine, which helps to coordinate body movement-basal ganglia. When dopamine-producing cells degenerate/die, the areas in the brain that control movement can no longer function properly, and symptoms of parkinson's disease eventually develop. Parkinson? s disease prevalence:- parkinson's disease can affect anyone, but it most often occurs in people who are over the age of 50. Only 15 percent of parkinson's disease patients are diagnosed before they are 50 years old. The prevalence of parkinson's disease is nearly the same in both men and women, and recovery rate is more in men. People with a family history of parkinson's may have a higher risk of developing the disease, but parkinson's disease is rarely attributed to genetics alone. Parkinson's disease symptoms symptoms of parkinson's disease usually develop after about 80 percent of the brain's dopamine-producing cells are lost. The main symptoms of parkinson's disease include? tremors (kampam)- tremulousness (uncontrolled shaking or trembling) of the hands, arms, legs, face, body is often one of the first indicators of parkinson's disease? rigidity. Profound stiffness or an inability to easily move the arms, legs, and trunk, pain and stiffness on neck muscles is another hallmark of parkinson's? bradykinesia:- describes the unnaturally slow movements that are characteristic of people with parkinson's disease? poor balance- parkinson's disease affects balance, leading to difficulty walking and impaired coordination. The symptoms of parkinson's are generally mild at first, but become more severe over time, until they eventually interfere with your daily routine. This is usually the point when treatment is recommended. The outlook for people with parkinson's disease parkinson's disease is a chronic, progressive condition, which means it is a lifelong disease that worsens over time when it is not treated properly. Each individual's situation is different, but in general, the first symptoms of parkinson's disease usually don't require treatment and may be restricted to one area or one side of the body. Movement of symptoms to the other side of the body? tremors that become more pronounced and interfere with activities? bradykinesia, or slow movement, that becomes disabling? difficulty with hand writing? impaired swallowing and chewing? speech that becomes monotone? poor balance and repeated falls? slow, shuffling gait (manner of walking)? stooped posture? facial expressions that become stiff and blank? chronic constipation? poor bladder control? sleep disturbances this progression is gradual in most people, but it may happen faster in some than others. Understandably, stress caused by the progression of the disease can lead to anxiety and depression. Ayurveda treatment: there is cure for parkinson's disease with ayurveda treatment, with ayurveda medicines and treatments we can relieve symptoms, slow down the progression and then we can completely arrest further degeneration of the of the cells, thereby we can completely control and cure the disease. If you are diagnosed with parkinson's disease, it is important to work closely with your medical team, so your medications can be regularly adjusted to help you remain as functional as possible for as long as possible. As far as parkinson's disease is concerned this is a brain related issue, so will surely effect the mind; so I recommend 49% treatment to patients and 51% treatment to family members.

Is Sleep Linked to Hypertension?

The link between sleep and hypertension is well-known. Studies have examined the effects of sleep deprivation on healthy volunteers and have examined the sleep patterns of people with hypertension, producing data that suggest adequate sleep may reduce risk. good cardiovascular health. Data from several studies show that people who sleep less than six hours each night are 20% more likely to develop high blood pressure.One night of inadequate sleep in patients with hypertension has been shown to result in elevated blood pressure throughout the next day.

Average sleep times have declined

Our modern society runs 24 hours a day, and many of us curtail sleep time to keep up. From an average sleep duration of 8 to 9 hours in 1960, our national sleep duration has dropped to 6.9 to 7 hours. Many people try to get by on five to six hours of sleep nightly, a habit that may be contributing to serious long-term health conditions.

What happens when you sleep?

Sleep is restorative, most people agree. We usually don’t question why, but the fact is that the circadian rhythms of sleep regulate our nervous system and the hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal axis, two critical body systems that keep our bodies in healthy balance. During sleep, normal people should experience a drop in blood pressure of about 15 points, on average. This reduces the work of your heart.

The Autonomic Nervous System and “Fight or Flight” Response

Sleep regulates the autonomic nervous system, that part of the nervous system that modulates the “fight or flight response.” This evolutionary response causes changes in many bodily functions that at one time were useful to provide an edge against predators.A constant state of preparedness from inappropriate activation of this response results in harmful stress on the body.

When the sympathetic nervous system is stimulated, blood vessels are constricted to deliver blood to vital organs like the brain and heart, increasing blood pressure. The “fight or flight” response is also associated with changes in glucose metabolism and an increased risk of insulin-resistant diabetes.

Cortisol, Adrenaline, and the Hypothalamic-Pituitary Axis

The primary hormones regulated by the pituitary and hypothalamus during sleep are adrenaline and cortisol, released by the adrenal gland. Adrenaline is a potent hormone that has a direct effect on blood pressure, mediated by constriction of the arteries. When your adrenaline levels remain high during the night, it can result in sustained hypertension.

Cortisol is a “stress hormone” that is highest in the morning and reaches a nadir between midnight and four AM. Lack of sleep can result in significant disruption of the cycle, subjecting your body to unnecessary stress responses and fatigue that are as damaging to your health as poor diet or lack of exercise.

When you awaken in the morning, your body typically experiences a 50% rise in cortisol level as your body prepares for the stress of a new day. Studies show that waking up early in the morning increases the cortisol response, an effect that is pronounced in people who are facing chronic stress and worry. Cortisol levels usually decline throughout the day, but in people who suffer from sleep loss, cortisol levels increase in the early evening, preventing natural recovery from the day and preparation for a restful night. In addition to lowered immunity, impaired glucose tolerance, and increased craving for carbohydrates, sleep deprivation is associated with elevated estrogen levels, decreased alertness, and poor concentration.

Sleep and Thyroid Hormone

Sleep loss also increases the amount of thyroid hormone in people who are not getting enough rest. People with elevated thyroid hormone have both increased blood pressure and cardiac output, putting unneeded stress on the heart.

Sleep, Obesity, and Hypertension

Sleep deprivation increases appetite by disturbing the regulation of leptin and ghrelin, two hormones that modulate appetite. Sleep deprivation alters your body’s ability to regulate the need for calories, resulting in over-eating and obesity, also linked to increased risk of hypertension.

Caffeine and Hypertension

Many of us use caffeine to remain alert when we haven’t slept well, a habit that causes dramatic increases in blood pressure. The mechanism for elevation of blood pressure after drinking a caffeinated beverage is not completely understood. Some researchers think caffeine may stimulate the adrenal gland to release adrenaline, a hormone with direct effects on blood pressure. It may block hormones that keep the arteries relaxed.

Obstructive Sleep Apnea

People who have obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) have multiple episodes during the night in which they stop and restart breathing. This disorder usually affects middle-age to older adults, but it can occur in patients of any age, particularly people who are overweight. People with OSA typically have high blood pressure, particularly on awakening, when their blood pressure should be at its lowest point. Symptoms of OSA include daytime sleepiness, loud snoring, morning headache, and difficulty concentrating during the day. They may be observed gasping suddenly during the night before returning to sleep.

Are You Getting Enough Sleep?

Sleep is critical for maintenance of your health. If you work shifts or curtail your sleep to accomplish multiple tasks, you are at risk for hypertension that can be difficult to treat. Measure your blood pressure in the morning. It should be at its lowest level and if it’s elevated, you should see your doctor in addition to consideration of lifestyle changes to prevent progression of medical problems associated with hypertension and sleeplessness. If you have symptoms of obstructive sleep apnea, there are effective treatments available.

Getting enough quality sleep at the right times can help protect your mental health, physical health, quality of life, and safety. In children and teens, sleep also helps support growth and development. The damage from sleep deficiency can occur in an instant (such as a car crash), or it can harm you over time. For example, ongoing sleep deficiency can raise your risk for some chronic health problems. It also can affect how well you think, react, work, learn, and get along with others. Management: here are five tips everyone can use to help improve the quality of their sleep: keep your bedroom cool and dark put away/turn off all electronic devices while preparing for bedtime stick to a regular bedtime and wake time every day, even on weekends stop drinking caffeine by the early afternoon and avoid large late-night meals skip the late-afternoon nap, as it can make it harder to sleep at bedtime avoid taking unnecessary stress/ tension. Do regular exercise. Go for a brisk walk in the morning. Medication: take schwabe's bacopa monierri 1x/ thrice daily and kali phos./ once daily at night for 1 month.

Yes it is a symptom of insomnia. I can understand how disturbing an interuppted, inappropriate or disturbed sleep can affect your day to day life. In india it has been found 55% of patients are suffering from insomnia just because of stress, distractions and anxiety. So the best way to get rid from insomnia is to reduce the stress level. A physiotherapist can help you to give you the ways to relax your mind and give you comfort and stress full sleep. Consult some neurologist/neuropyschiatric and start taking medicine if it is due to some neurological discorder. And consult nearby physio who can make a perfect routine and daily life styl chart to make you relax so that you get an appropriate sleep. Please follow some points that will help you in such condition along with medical treatment: 1) use of ice packs over your eyes or frontal area for some time to give relaxation. 2) massage your head especially forehead area using levander oil or clove oil as it removes toxins from body 3) regular intake of healthy dietry food rich in proteins and vitamins. 4) avoid fasting - eat breakfast, lunch and dinner at fixed timings 5) make yourself busy by fulfilling your hobby as it will give you freshness and your mind will be diverted from normal life which help in pain reduction. 6) before sleeping time do some relaxation exercises. - sit on chair with both the hands placed on the pillow placed over thighs. - deep inhale from your nose, mouth should be closed. - hold your breath for the count of 5. - exhale completely from mouth making a loud sound. Continue to do this exercise for 10 times. Before going to bed make a habit of doing this daily. Modified technique of same exercise is while inhaling extend your arms, hold for 5 count and then exhale making your arms back in the rest position. 7) room modification while sleep - make sure room should be dark with no noise. Avoid sleeping immediately after dinner or food. Take a walk for 15 min and then come back, bed should be not too soft not too hard. 8) it is recommended to drink at least 8 to 10 glasses of water per day. It is also a very good habit to start and finish your day by drinking a good glass of purifying water. 9) exerices like aerobics (running) can be done to make your muscles active. Many other ways are there in order to maintain your life stress free and active so that you can continue to sleep on time and it does affect your life. For more help or instructions please consult. Hi 1-1 drop of cow ghee in both nostrils at night time before sleep....take sarpgandha vati 1-1 tab twice a day....take pranacharya no tens capsule 1-1 twice a day...avoid spicy food...junk food...fermented food.....tea...coffee...do pranayama early in the morning....

You probably have essential tremor; this should be confirmed visually by a neurologist; once that is done, it can be treated with drugs in appropriate doses. Et cannot be cured, but the tremor can be improved while on medication.
