Hello lybrate-user the problem you are facing is mostly because of chemical treatment done on hairs. Any chemical treatment is harmful for hairs, it damages the hair. So I ll suggest not to do any such hair treatment in future. For the damage now you can use good medicated shampoo - triclenz or hair 4 you shampoo - use conditioner - you can use home made hair mask - oil your hair 2-3 times per week - include green leafy vegetables, fresh fruit juices, walnuts, protein rich food in your diet - do 45 min exercise daily thanx.

How can I get rid of stress, strain and pressure that had been repeatedly creating a problem for my mind.

How can I get rid of stress, strain and pressure that had been repeatedly creating a problem for my mind.
Dear Samboj, Welcome to lybrate. Stress is simply a reaction to a stimulus that disturbs our physical or mental equilibrium. In other words, it's an omnipresent part of life. A stressful event can trigger the “fight-or-flight” response, causing hormones such as adrenaline and cortisol to surge through the body. A little bit of stress, known as “acute stress,” can be exciting—it keeps us active and alert. But long-term, or “chronic stress,” can have detrimental effects on health. You may not be able to control the stressors in your world, but you can alter your reaction to them. Physical exercise, creative activities, deep breathing, being away from the situation for sometime etc can help you tackle the stress. I need to know, what are the causes with which you are stressed? Once you know the reason, you will be able to adjust with it with some psycho therapy methods. Please let me know the details. Take care.

Ayurveda Can Help You Beat Stress

Ayurveda, Hapur
Ayurveda Can Help You Beat Stress

Stress is a natural response to situations we have to face, but the fact remains that a similar situation may leave one individual a mess but another, untouched. What this implies is that how stressed you feel largely depends on the way you choose to respond to a stressful situation. With the right diet, breathing techniques and the use of adaptogenic herbs, it is possible to alter this response and cultivate a positive attitude that will help us face life's challenges with courage and strength, without losing our cool. Here are the other ill effects of stress.

Eat the right foods

According to ayurveda, food possesses three qualities or gunas

sattva, rajas and tamas. Sattvik food is light, fresh and nutritious, rajasik food is spicy and fans emotions, and tamasik foods are stale and promote the sense of inertia. Obviously, the consumption of a diet rich in rajasik and tamasik foods is bound to keep you in a state of mind that is most conducive to stress whereas a sattvik diet helps keep the mind calm.

Remedy
make sure you include foods such as pulses, fresh vegetables and fruits, milk and grains such as rice and tapioca. Avoid spicy chutneys and pickles, sour cream, chicken, fish, meat, cheese, onion, garlic and urad dal and you will find a noticeable change in your ability to cope with stressful situations. Here are some more expert tips to beat stress.

Use relaxing herbs

Certain herbs such as cardamom (elaichi), lettuce, celery, peppermint, chamomile and fennel (saunf) contain phytoconstituents that have wonderful relaxing properties. Make these a part of your diet in the form of herbal tea or by working them into the dishes you cook for some stress relief. Ayurveda recommends the use of adaptogenic herbs (that help the body and mind adapt better to stressful conditions) over time can also help you cultivate a calm mind that does not easily get swayed by extreme emotions. Herbs such as aswagandha, jatamansi, guduchi, brahmi, tulsi and shankhpushpi help restore the imbalance in your doshas that make up the body and mind. However, it is important you avoid self-medication with these herbs- have them only under the prescription of a registered ayurvedic practitioner who is well-versed with their use.

Have an oil massage

An oil massage has a number of health benefits and one of them is stress relief. According to ayurveda, abhyanga the application of oil to the entire body at regular intervals is an easy way of relaxing not just the body, but also the mind. Use any oil- castor, sesame or coconut. heat it and rub it into your scalp and all over the body; allow the oil to remain for an hour or two and then bathe with hot water. You will actually feel the stress and strain wash out of your system. For even better relaxation, mix in a little powder of shankhpushpi or brahmi into the oil you use for the massage.

Cut down on unhealthy beverages

Most of us are addicted to some form of liquid stimulant that we believe makes us more alert and able to deal with the myriad things life brings our way. Caffeine and alcohol tends to increase feelings of anxiety and stress. Cut down on your intake of such beverages and you are sure to observe your stress levels becoming much more manageable. Apart from increasing your stress levels soft drinks also have a lot of unhealthy side effects, so giving up that one habit can do you a world of good.

Breathe right

In our constant rush to meet deadlines and do things on time, our breathing takes a backseat. A lack of proper deep breaths greatly reduces the amount of oxygen circulating through your body. This is a major reason for stress related damage to the body. To combat this, make it a point to breathe in slowly and deeply a few times every morning and night - feel your stomach and chest expand as you inhale, and fall as you exhale. Breathe in as you slowly count from 1 to 5, hold for five counts and then exhale while counting from 1 to 5. If possible, learn the techniques of pranayama from a qualified instructor and practice it every day. Whenever you feel yourself getting tense, practice this deep breathing a few times and you will find the feeling of crisis tide over almost effortlessly. Over time, you will find it easier to cope better with unpleasant situations without getting stressed. Pranayam has a number of other health benefits too, you can read more about them here.

Take staphysagria 200, 5 drops single dose. Take healthy balanced diet including whole grains, green leafy vegetables, fruits and nuts. Drink 10 to 12 glasses of water daily. Take a sound sleep of 8 hours minimum. Apply bakson's under eye cream on the dark circles. Apply ramdev's aloe vera gel on the whole face at night. Home remedy:-cucumbers have skin-lightening and mild astringent properties that help fix those raccoon eyes naturally. Plus, they have a soothing and refreshing effect. Cut a fresh cucumber into thick slices and chill them in the refrigerator for 30 minutes. Put the slices onto the affected skin area for about 10 minutes. Wash the area with water. Repeat twice daily for about a week or more. Another option is to mix cucumber juice with lemon juice in equal amounts. Use a cotton ball to apply the mixture on the affected skin. Leave it on for 15 minutes and then wash it off with water. Follow this remedy daily for at least one week. Revert me after 15 days.

Apply an ice pack to the painful area of your head. Try placing it on your forehead, temples, or the back of your neck. Take a warm bath or shower; take a nap; or take a walk. Ask someone to rub your neck and back, or treat yourself to a massage. Apply gentle, steady rotating pressure to the painful area of your head with your index finger and/or thumb. Maintain pressure for seven to 15 seconds, then release. Repeat as needed. Rest, sit, or lie quietly in a low-lit room. Close your eyes and try to release the tension in your back, neck, and shoulders.

Sir, mera weight kafhi kam hai or me bahut dubla (thin) dikhta hu. Please health badane ka solutions bataye.

B.Sc. - Dietitics / Nutrition, Nutrition Certification,Registered Dietitian

Sir, mera weight kafhi kam hai or me bahut dubla (thin) dikhta hu. Please health badane ka solutions bataye.
To gain weight you should eat more calories than you burn. Plus not only you have to eat calorie dense food but you have to keep in mind that what you are eating is healthy too. In the process of weight gain you do not want to put weight in an uneven manner and look unhealthy rather than looking bright and healthy. 1. Start with changing your lifestly. Start working out if you are not active. The biggest myth that prevails now a days is that thin people do not need to work out. This is wrong. When you challenge your body, it is forced to grow. But this growth can only be possible if you are eating enough food to let the body absorb and grow in size and muscles. 2. Eat Healthy – Stop drinking and smoking too much if you are indulged in it. Limit your intake of junk food, pepsi, sugary stuff etc. Do not at all starve yourself. Make it a habit to eat something healthy every 3 hours. This means you have to eat 6 small meals in a day. Your Daily food intake should ideally consist of – a. Have plenty of nuts, dry fuits and seeds. Almonds, walnuts, sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds, figs, dates and raisins. They are full of healthy fats needed by a human body. B. Good amount of fruits and vegetables – Bananas, apples, pomegranate, green leafy vegetables. Fruits and vegetables helps in absorption of food in the body and together, completes your daily nutrition need. C. If you are a non- vegetarian - Eat eggs, chicken etc. D. Eat whole grains – Try to have multi grains spread throughout the day. Wheat, brown rice, oats, bajra, daliya etc should be taken in multiple meals in a day. E. Eat Sprouts – Chana and moong which are full of protein and nutrients. F. You can supplement your diet with good quality multi-vitamin capsules. If you are lacking in protein, you can buy a high quality whey protein and have it with banana shake twice a day. G. You can take natural food items like wheat grass which is full of essential nutrients which helps in weight gain. Try to be patient while you are on the process of weight gain. Results take time to show. Just follow this regimen and you will soon start seeing the results.

These are some of the early pregnancy symptoms: Tender, swollen breast, Fatigue Slight bleeding or cramping Nausea with or without vomiting Food aversions or cravings Headaches Constipation Mood swings If you are worrying about possible early symptoms of pregnancy, you can put your mind at ease with a pregnancy test. Pregnancy tests work best if you wait to take them until at least a day or two after you miss your period. Even if the pregnancy test result is negative you should try it again a few days later to be sure.
