I am suffering from typhoid and jaundice I want recovery as soon as possible plzz help me.

Treatment of jaundice 1. Take bland diet, avoid spicy, oily and fatty food like oil, ghee, butter, cream. He should have soft, easily digestible foods like suji, dhalia, porridge, curd rice. Avoid alcohol 2. Drink plenty of water, take resh fruit like orange, apple, pineapple, grape, papaya, mango. Fruit juice, sugar cane juice, coconut water. Have plenty of green leafy vegetables 3. Take adequate rest at least for 2 week 4. Take liv 52 2 tablet twice daily after food 5. Monitor your lft for serum bilirubin 6. Consult gastroenterologist/hepatologist for advice and treatment. Treatment of typhoid 1. Consult doctor with blood report like widal/typhidot test. 2. If it is typhoid, you have to take a full course of antibiotic for 10-14 days 3. Take bland semi solid diet like rice with yogurt, porridge, barley, fruit (avoid skin/seeds) custard, avoid spicy, oily and fatty food. Take light and easily digestible diet. Take meals at short interval to avoid nausa/vomiting. Avoid meat/poultry/egg 4. Drink plenty of water/lime juice/ glucose water/ coconut water, sugar cane/ fresh fruit (avoid citrus fruits) juice, milk 5. Take adequate rest.

Hi, I am 33 years old, my left side parotid gland increased for last 3 months. I have tested the usg and its mentioned that its parotitis. And did some anti-biotic course but still its not cured. So can you please suggest?

I am 20 but my body is not looking that I am 20. I have no muscles. How can I grow my body and increase my weight.
1. Start exercising. Start working out if you are not active. Begin with body weight exercises like push up, pull up and squats. Weight training proves to be really helpful if you want to gain good quality weight. Train each body part twice a week. For example: Monday/Thursday: Chest + Triceps Tuesday/Friday: Back + Biceps Wednesday/Saturday: Legs + Shoulders Don't forget to warm up for at least 10 - 15 minutes. Warm up includes jumping, rope skipping, treadmill, cycling, stair climbing, etc. 2. Eat Healthy. Stop drinking and smoking too much if you are indulged in it. Limit your intake of junk food and any form of sugar. Do not at all starve yourself. Make it a habit to eat something healthy every 2 - 3 hours. Some of the recommended food items are boiled chicken and eggs, brown rice, brown bread, peanut butter, olive oil (extra virgin), green tea, dry fruits etc. 3. Consume good amount of fruits and vegetables. Bananas, apples, pomegranate, green leafy vegetables. Fruits and vegetables helps in absorption of food in the body and together, completes your daily nutrition need. 4. Eat whole grains. Try to have multi grains spread throughout the day. Wheat, brown rice, oats are best sources of healthy carbohydrates but do not include these items in your dinner. 5. Increase protein intake. Protein proves to be the most essential nutrient when it comes down to gaining strength or building muscle. Therefore, consume all types of protein from both veg and non veg food items. Boiled chicken and eggs are the best sources of fat free protein. Sprouts are also rich in protein. Your Daily food intake should ideally consist of – a. Have plenty of nuts, dry fuits and seeds. Almonds, walnuts, sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds, figs, dates and raisins. They are full of healthy fats needed by a human body. B. Good amount of fruits and vegetables – Bananas, apples, pomegranate, green leafy vegetables. Fruits and vegetables helps in absorption of food in the body and together, completes your daily nutrition need. C. If you are a non- vegetarian - Eat eggs, chicken etc. D. Eat whole grains – Try to have multi grains spread throughout the day. Wheat, brown rice, oats, bajra, daliya etc should be taken in multiple meals in a day. E. Eat Sprouts – Chana and moong which are full of protein and nutrients. F. You can supplement your diet with good quality multi-vitamin capsules. If you are lacking in protein, you can buy a high quality whey protein and have it with banana shake twice a day. G. You can take natural food items like wheat grass which is full of essential nutrients which helps in weight gain.

Hello. Hair fall is becoz of Thyroid disease, anemia, protein deficiency, chemotherapy, and low vitamin levels may cause hair loss. Take homeopathic treatment for complete cure. As long as follow this tips: 1.Hair Oil Massage. The first step that you can take to reduce hair loss is to massage your scalp with appropriate hair oil. 2. Take the white of one egg and mix in a teaspoon of olive oil. Beat to give a paste-like consistency and apply to the entire scalp and hair. Keep it on for about 15 to 20 minutes and then rinse with cool water and a mild shampoo. 3.Treat hair loss naturally by eating more vitamins and supplements, and minerals for hair loss, such as Vitamin C, Biotin, Niacin, Iron and Zinc. Bathe with gentle soaps. If possible use some natural ingredients like gramflour, turmeric mixed with some milk to bathe daily. This does not wash your skin off the natural oils. Keep your bath short and do not use hot water to bathe. Use only lukewarm water. Apply Vitamin E oil or warm olive oil on the body after bathing. You can also use a good moisturiser. Cocoa butter mixed with wheat germ oil is also very good at maintaining the skin health. You can mix some oils like – Sesame, olive, virgin coconut oil, wheat germ oil to apply before going to bed. Consume diet that is rich in vitamin E, omega 3 and 6 and other skin friendly vitamins like vitamin E and A. Eat almonds, walnuts, flaxseeds, sesame seeds to maintain skin health. Keep yourself hydrated. Drink atleast 8-10 glasses of water to keep your skin soft and supple.

Iam 22 old male iam suffering from gastric problem symptoms left shoulder near heart pain. Pain relief with in seconds. And repeated yawing and fatigue. What is problem? 1.Take bland diet, Avoid foods which cause acidity like spicy, oily, fatty and junk foods, onion, garlic, citrus fruit like orange grape, lemon, tomato,cucumber, raddish, vinegar, pickle etc 2..Have proper Breakfast, Don’t skip or postpone your meal, Take home made food, Avoid food and water from outside, 3.Eat smaller meals at frequent intervals like 5-6 meals per day, and don't overeat. 4.Drink plenty of water(8-10 glass daily). Take your meal regularly and timely. Avoid fasting, Don’t skip your breakfast. 5. Stop smoking, consumption of alcohol and tobacco, excess tea or coffee, carbonated drinks if you are having, 6. Avoid stress, have adequate rest, sleep for 7-8 hours daily in night, go for regular exercise, practice yoga/meditation 7. Take one tablet of pan40 in the morning before breakfast daily for few days. 8.Consult Gastro enterologist for further advice

Vitamin and mineral deficiency can even cause hair loss.

I am 37 weeks pregnant and my baby movements are less (5 to 6 movements in a day) from past few days, I have done with my Doppler test and every thing seems to be fine, I would like to know what causes the less baby movements. Nothing to worry, continue with medicines, ultrasound reports show cervix, the mouth of uterus is about 3 cm open. If it's a first baby, it's a good sign at 37 weeks, means mouth has started to open and soon you will be having labour pains and baby delivered at 37 weeks plus is not premature, weight is about 3 kg, head is in lower side with placenta up and not blocking the passage of baby. Reports favor you to have a normal delivery. Go to labour room with a relaxed mind, don't count the movement of baby about babies in womb do need to rest for about 20 hours plus unless you have taken some cough syrups, they can cause sedation in baby too. Do share the good news with all of us here. Be careful if it's a second baby, mouth of uterus is opening up and go to hospital as soon as possible, when labour pains start as compared to 1st normal delivery second delivery takes lesser time.

Identify the mid point between the ankle bone and tendons and give pressure with a blunt edge on either side of your foot for 2 minutes. Also give pressure in the web between 2nd and 3rd finger from your toe for 2 minutes. Finally give a good massage for both feet in hot water. Identify the dipping portion on the back of your knee folding. Press this dip with both middle fingers and hold your knee with your thumbs for support. Please swing 20 times morning and evenings. This will relieve your problem. Consult after 10 days.

I have vertigo since 2014. Since that year after that first attack, I had another attack in July but after 3 days it was gone. Last August 9 I had another vertigo attack and for 2-3 days I couldn't move. After that I felt better. I am able to move around but I feel not normal as before. Actually the vertigo didn't really leave me. I have moves that will just let me feel turning around. I also can't sleep lying down flat in bed. What should I do. I want to totally be cured and let this vertigo totally leave me.

Hair fall can not be controlled by shampoo. Hair roots are situated inside the scalp and it gets nutrition through blood. Eat food rich in minerals, protein and iron. Oil the scalp 3/week. Consult trichologist.

Next Caesar or normal depends on what is the condition in next pregnancy particularly at end. Also on why first Caesar was done and also on you and obstetrician are ready to take little extra risk. It is important to have pregnanacy as early as possible as for any woman who is 35 years complete at delivery, there is higher chance of Mongol child- mental abnormality and it increases with increasing age. No treatment for same though some test during pregnancy (with little risk of test) and termination of pregnancy if such is the case are possible.

Hi I am 24 years old. I eat alot raw rice much does it affect in the body? due to this white water is coming from my vagina. Some times not regularly does it affect in pregnancy?

It is an abnormal food habit. In medical terminology it is called pica. Raw rice, if it is not properly washed, may have lots of impurities, insects. Moreover eatting lots of them may cause stomach ache, discomfort as they get swelled up in the stomach. Your cause of white discharge is not because of raw rice. It could be due to vaginal infection or may be a normal physiological discharge. To diagnose that an elaborate history is needed. Better, you should consult a gynaecologist for proper diagnosis and treatment. In pregnancy excessive discharge is very common and that could be normal but to assure that a doctor's opinion is needed. Because some of the infections of vagina leading to white discharge is harmful for the pregnancy.

Apply Hot Fomentation twice daily. Avoid bending in front. Postural Correction- Sit Tall, Walk Tall. Extension Exercises x 15 times x twice daily - lying on tummy, take left arm up for 3 seconds, then bring it down, right arm up for 3 seconds, bring down. Bring right leg up, hold for 3 seconds, bring it down. Then right leg up and hold for 3 seconds and bring it down. Repeat twice a day- 10 times. Bhujang Asana – Lie flat on your stomach, keeping the palms out, bend the neck backward, take a deep breath and while holding it for 6 seconds, raise the chest up. Release breath and relax your body. Repeat the exercise 15 times twice daily. Core Strengthening Exercises- Straight Leg Raised With Toes Turned Outward, repeat 10 times, twice a day. Back Stretching- lie flat, pull one of the knee forward to chest, hold for 3 seconds, then bring the other knee forward to the chest and again hold for 3 seconds. Then pull both knees towards the chest and hold for 3 seconds. Repeat 10 times each exercise twice a day. Do the cat/cow stretch. Get on all fours, with your arms straight and your hands directly under your shoulders; your knees hip-width apart.

I read that turmeric and other medication have an adverse affect - please advise how to ingest the medication for BP, Thyroid, heart, gout, joint pain along with vitamin tablets after taking turmeric with warm water.

Dear Juliana, Namaskar, As for as I know turmeric has no adverse effect if taken with other medicines...If you have doubts...keep an interval of 4 hr.s between turmeric and other medicines.... take care.
