Is it good to take honey and lemon with warm water at morning. And what are the benefits. Or right way.

If I were you I'd just do the lime and warm water and skip the honey. Limes or lemons in warm water 20 minutes prior to eating is great for your digestive system and is supposed to assist in increasing your metabolism. Honey is very high in calories as well as carbohydrates, so I stay away cause I like to enjoy my carbs in other foods. But I would add only little lemon juice as too much of it might erode my teeth enamel and cause acidity early morning. #EatRight #Exercise for #WeightLoss #Do notLookForShortCuts #Livehealthy #LoseWeightSensibly #LifestyleMatters.

I started walking early morning + I am doing side stretches for 40 mins nearly 25 days. But I haven't reduced weight even in grams. I eat healthy food and moderately active during the day. What should I do to effectively reduce weight? I'm also drinking lemon and honey warm water on empty stomach. I sleep for 30 mins in afternoon. I sleep at 10 pm. Wake up at 5: 30 am.

Diet plays 80 % role in a weight loss regime and rest is exercise. If you make necessary dietary changes and combine it with regular walk / exercise you can shed weight and maintain it too You need to correct your diet wherever it’s going wrong. You can maintain a food record and highlight things which you think go wrong. Focus on higher protein intake, lower fat and restrict carbohydrates tohigh fibre ones only. Avoid simple sugars completely. 'Eat Out' less and have good quantity of fresh foods which are not processed. Hi, I used to a walker during my college days and have a lot of stamina. However after 10 years of work life my stamina has taken a huge hit. I Am not able to be active like I used to be. I maintain a good appetite and I am not obese, but I want to regain my stamina. Please suggest.

Ph.D ; M.Sc Foods & Nutrition
Dietitian/Nutritionist, Delhi
For stamina n energy, you should have a wholesome diet with enough proteins (eggs, fish, chicken, milk & its products, nuts -seeds etc) and good quality fats (rich in MUFA-PUFA) and moderate carbohydrate intake with focus on high fibre. Hydrate yourself properly and include enough fresh fruits and vegetables. Do not have long gaps between meals and do not skip meals at all. Have a good breakfast before you leave for work with source of protein in it. Workout for 45 mins daily be it brisk walk, any sport, swimming, etc .Some exercise while sitting at the desk would be useful too. For antioxidants have variety of fresh fruits and vegetables and the right cooking oil, fish, nuts and oilseeds for omega 3 fatty acids. Both these (antioxdants and omega 3 fatty acids) will help control aging and take care of heart health. Contact us directly for a comprehensive and tailored diet plan to meet all your needs.

Hi, I'm 16 years old and my weight is 50 kg can you give me an advice to gain my weight.
I appreciate your desire to gain weight naturally without resorting to any medicines or quick fix solutions. Weight gain needs patience and happens gradually with improved appetite and sensible eating. Weight gain needs a healthy wholesome diet with increase in proteins, healthy fats and required carbohydrate intake. Include more of fish, eggs, chicken, nuts and oilseeds in your diet with ample quantity of fresh fruits and vegetables. Do not skip meals and eat frequently. Do some exercise along so that digestion is good. Take care that you do not have constipation and are properly hydrated.
