What is the benefit of keto, do’s and don’ts of keto. To first start krte hain what is the means of keto. Keto ke andar carbs ko band kar dia jata hai. Yanike carbs 5%, fat 70% and protein 25%. Is chart ke jariye aap ache se smjh skte hain. Ye aap chart dekh rhen honge. Jiske andar 70% mene fat bnaya hai. 5% mene carbs bnaya hai. And 25% mene protein bnaya hai.

Yes, carbs sirf 5% jata hai body ke andar, diet ke andar, 70% jata hai fat and 25% jata hai protein. To kaisi hoti hai ye keto diet. Ab isko brief me smjhati hun me. Keto Diet - Why Should You Opt For It?

A ketogenic diet, broadly known as keto diet is popularly known for being a low carb diet, as the body produces ketones in the liver that is used as energy. When we consume something that contains a high ratio of carbs, our body automatically produces glucose and insulin. Glucose is considered to be the easiest molecule for our body to transform and use as energy, thus it can used as over any other energy source. On the other hand, insulin is manufactured in our body to carry the glucose that is present in our bloodstream to take it all around body to create maximum energy.

As glucose is generally being used as the main source of primary energy, our fat amount in our body is not required for and thus it is stored. As we can observe in a normal high carb diet, our body uses glucose as the primary source of energy. As we lower the intake of carbs, the body subsequently goes into a state which is known as ketosis. 

Ketosis is considered to be a normal natural process of our system that our body initiates that helps us to survive when food intake is low in our body. During such state, our human body produces ketones, which are the outcome of the breakdown of fats present in the liver.

Why ketogenic diet is good for you? 

 

There are many advantages and benefits of a ketogenic diet in our body, from loss of weight to therapeutic activities. The following are some of the benefits of a keto diet:

  1. Weight Loss: This is the most basic benefit for a keto diet in our body. Obesity is never good for one’s health, thus following a keto diet will definitely decreases your body weight and you shall be healthy. The keto diet basically uses our body fat as an energy source, so the weight loss is obvious. During keto diet, our insulin level that is the fat storing hormone in our body drops at a really massive rate which in turn turns our body into a fat releasing or fat burning machine. Thus following keto diet is essential for your body as it is good for your health. Many dieticians prescribe keto diet to patients who are suffering from obesity. Although it is a difficult diet for a foodie, yet it is very effective.

  2. Blood sugar control: Keto diet controls your blood sugar too, it is more effective than normal low carb diet. With the control of fat in the body during keto, blood sugar stays in control too.

  3. Mental stability: Keto diet helps you to mentally focus on your work. Ketones are known to make your mind sharp as it is a great source of fuel in your brain.

How Dark Chocolate Could Boost Brain Health & Immunity?

Life has become a challenge due to it’s fast paced nature, people at times are unable to keep up with the pace and hence lag behind. They lag behind, not because of their potential but because their bodies do not allow to put in extra effort to achieve their goals. With the use of pesticides in foods and junk items becoming popular day by day, they are ultimately affecting people’s health in adverse manner. Hence, we see people frequently falling ill, they are becoming susceptible to changing weather conditions as their immunity has taken a beating. The resistance power to sustain tough situations and conditions is no longer there in human beings.

Dark Chocolate Comes To The Rescue
If you want to increase your immunity and boost memory power, dark chocolate is ideal for you. It contains high concentration of cocoa, which helps in relieving stress, creates positive impact on memory and mood.
A food science expert, Dr. Lee Berk led a study at Loma Linda University in California stated that after years of research on the influence of dark chocolate on neurological functions, he can firmly conclude from the perspective of the amount of sugar content in these chocolates, the greater the sugar intake, the happier people seem to be. This is because sugar provides energy and keeps mood fresh. He had studied at the impact of large amounts of cacao in small doses, similar to a chocolate bar of regular size in human beings over a significant duration of time.

What did the study reveal? 


The study revealed some fascinating benefits of cacao, one of the ingredients in dark chocolates. It showed that higher the concentration of cacao, they tend to have a positive effect on cognition, memory, immunity, mood along with other benefits. Cacao contains antioxidants in the form of flavonoids, which are also anti-inflammatory agents, and they are extremely beneficial for keeping brain and heart healthy.

 

As a part of the research, participants were given a 48-gram bar of dark chocolate at the start of an experiment and then went to eat a piece of dark chocolate every two hours. They remained awake for several days, which proved that they had gained enough energy not to feel exhausted and sleepy.

Blood tests were conducted which revealed that the chocolate has influenced gene activity, leading to an increase in anti-inflammatory agents and which in turn increased cells to fight infections. This was followed by an EEG, wherein the gamma waves record suggested that the chocolate treat had positively impacted brain function, such as creativity and level of cognition for a couple of hours even after eating it.
Further Research On The Topic

Dr. Lee Berk intends to conduct a further research on this particular phenomenon to understand exactly, how much dark chocolate should one have in order to positively affect functioning of brain.
