What are the avoided vegetables during summer?
You should take light food as much as summer. Take butter milk, coconut water, curd, raita, sugarcane juice, lemon juice. You should prefer water content fruits like water melon, musk melon, papaya, oranges, mosambi. Include more salad in your food. Avoid junk food. Drink more water in a day.

I am 20 year old and my weight is 67 iwant to loose my weight suggest me any medicine sir.

Certified Diabetes Educator, Registered Dietitian (RD), PGDD, Bachelor of Unani Medicine and Surgery (B.U.M.S), General Physician
Dietitian/Nutritionist, Mumbai
I am both a registered dietitian and a doctor who will help you in losing your weight .Let me know your food intake details. The best diet is one which is healthy and well balanced with foods from all the food groups, and one which is varied and that you can stick to Weight loss on some diets can be dramatic in the short term, but there's more of a chance of rebound weight gain. Set yourself a realistic target and aim to lose between (0.5-1.0kg) a week I being a registered Dietitian strongly accommodate the patients own preferences without the patient feeling that they are on a diet not compromising the weight management goals. Don't fall for self dieting or fad diets availiable online they have harmful effects in the long run, if you lose a lot of weight very quickly, you may not lose as much fat as you would with a more modest rate of weight loss. Instead, you might lose water weight or even lean muscle tissue, since it's hard to burn that many fat calories in a short period. I will need to carry out detailed assessment in your case, After assessing your personal challenges to weight loss, I will recommend a strategy to gradually change habits and attitudes that have sabotaged your past efforts. Also the overall objective should not be to drastically reduce weight but doing it gradually and help rebuild body tissues and to maintain ideal body weight. I being a both a registered dietitian (RD) and doctor have been successfully helping patients with their problems through a holistic approach using customized therapeutic diet and medications . I will also suggest home remedies. Do reply back for private consultation for Rx.

Health Benefits of Broccoli

Sexologist Clinic
Sexologist, Faridabad
  • When it comes to great-tasting nutrition, broccoli is an all-star food with many health benefits. While low in calories, broccoli is rich in essential vitamins and minerals, in addition to fiber.
  • Broccoli belongs to a family of vegetables called cruciferous vegetables and its close relatives include brussel sprouts, cauliflower, and cabbage. Broccoli contains sulforophane, a sulfur-containing compound present in cruciferous vegetables. Researchers are studying the anti-cancer properties of sulforophane and have come to some interesting conclusions, although more research is needed.
  • As if that's not enough, a cup of cooked broccoli offers as much vitamin C as an orange, and is a good source of beta-carotene. Broccoli contains  vitamins B1, B2, B3, B6, iron, magnesium, potassium, and zinc too. It also provides fiber and is low in calories.

I have knee pain for couple of weeks. My Ortho prescribed me Supradyn, CarniQ, Shelcal and Etoshine. He advised me to avoid walking and sitting in floor but I couldn't as I just got married last week. I still have the pain but when I observed, is painful when an in office than at home. Could this be because of a vitamin d deficiency? What should I do then? It's painful only while walking and not at normal conditions.

Hi, Gradual weight gain is always advisable and an increase in 500 kcal per day can result in a 0.5 kg per week increase in one’s body weight. For healthy weight gain, you need to add more muscle rather than fat to your frame and that can only come from wholesome foods. Keep the following basic principles in mind if you wish to gain weight in a healthy way: •Increase your appetite by eating more to gain weight. But do it step-by-step and not by stuffing yourself too much at one go. Add one extra chapatti or more rice than you normally consume, or you even start with fruits by eating an extra one every day. •Carbs are needed to gain weight but include healthier options like banana, potato, mango, whole grains, rice, etc. Instead of sugar-rich foods, chocolates, and other junk foods. •In order to increase your muscle mass, it is essential to do weight training 4-5 times a week for an hour. Consume protein-rich foods after you workout to increase muscle mass and eat good fats like nuts and seeds in your diet. •DIET CHART: •Breakfast: 10 almonds, Banana milkshake, Cheese grilled sandwich in multigrain bread or stuffed parantha. •Midmorning: Fruit, Glass of sweet lassi. •Lunch: 3 chapatis, Dal, Mixed vegetable containing potatoes, Paneer or Non-veg (Chicken, Curd, Fruit. •Glass of Milk with bournvita or Whey protein and vegetable sandwich •Dinner: Same as lunch. Add a dessert like fruit custard or Kheer. •

Fashion v/s Looks and Health

No matter what your age is, what your field is, what kind of a person you are, what your lifestyle is, the impact of your looks and health will never ever cease to affect your life.

You need to be in pace with of how you look, how you behave, how strong and healthy you are and how you balance between all of them.

When someone sees you for the first time then the first thing that captures their mind is the looks then they come to talk to you to get deeper to your personality, then they get to know you when you start working with them they get interacted with your behavior and your healthiness to execute tasks. So all the things are related and are sequential in real life.

The sequence of these things is universal and work for male as well as females irrespective of their ages. This reminds to look at the fact that with getting older in age it also keeps getting difficult to maintain the looks and health in good condition as per the body type and lifestyle.

However, we need to take of few things when we are dealing with the problem of aging. The first thing in aging that needs care is to look energetic, then to look glowing, not look pale or dull, have least of wrinkles, not to look older than your age if not young.

To have all these we need to opt for some remedies but before that lets make sure of one thing that we don’t let stress and worries take over our mind because they show up their impact clearly on our looks and health.

Now working on the remedies of aging do not mean to have those expensive ant-aging treatments every month and pouring all the money at the parlors.

However, we refer for simple home remedies along-with natural ingredients like lemon juice along with milk cream and egg white to be applied on face for around 15 minutes to get you rid of aging spots.

Now for glowing and moisturized skin apply coconut milk for 20 minutes. The fruit papaya is rich in vitamin A and can help in firming of skin by means of papaya skin.

In addition, rosewater, cucumber and curd pack can be helpful.

Above all, keep smiling because that will give you a good look and health at the same time.

I have a desk job and in the last 2 years my weight has gone up from 75 kgs to 85 kgs I want to lose weight please help.
First you should follow low calories food for weight loss. * in morning, take 1-2 chapattis with a bowl of cooked green vegetables. You can take a glass of lemon water with it *in lunch you can take a bowl of raw vegetables like carrot, radish, tomatoes, turnip or beetroot. *in evening, you can take a cup of green tea only with some pieces of friuts like apple, pineapple, pear. Avoid taking banana or mango. *in dinner, you can take vegetable soup or a bowl of cooked vegetables. But do not take potato, sweet potatoes. * you can take a cup skimmed milk 4 times a week only during day time. * work out for atleast 1 hour in morning, you can try skipping for 15 minutes with a walk of 30 minutes and 5-10 minutes running. Follow these exercises in the morning - * lie down on flat surface, raise your legs without bending your knees, do it for 3-5 times daily * do not eat fastfoods and soft drinks, as they have high calories and the calories deposit in body in the form of weight if not utilised. * you can take medohar guggalu 1 tablet daily for quick weight loss but only under the guidance of ayurveda expert.
