Hi, to gain weight you need to combine a balanced eating pattern with regular physical activity. You should be eating at least 6 small meals a day, rather than sticking to 3 square meals. You could divide it as 3 main meals and 3 snacks. You need to be eating every 2-3 hours. Space out snacks during the day so you don't spoil your appetite. Bread, cereal, rice, whole wheat, dalia and pasta: biscuits, and corn-bread are good sources of carbohydrates. Fruits: dried fruits, fruit nectars, and large quantities of fresh fruits vegetables: include, potatoes, peas, corn in your diet. Meat, poultry, fish, dry beans, eggs, and nuts: beef, pork, lamb, poultry, salmon, omelets, nuts, peanut butter, kidney beans, chickpeas will help you gain weight. Include dairy products like milk, yogurt, and cheese: milk, fruited yogurts, hard cheeses, ice cream, puddings, custards, milkshakes. -nuts and seeds make a healthy option for snacks. -roasted channas and peanuts are good -peanut butter on the sandwiches are a great mid-meal choice. -you must know that cereals actually contain some healthy calories. Stay hydrated: drinking plenty of water and other fluids like juices, milk, soups etc, will work in your favour. Do not drink water before a meal and in between the meal as it may make you lose your appetite, thus calorie intake suffers. Sleep: at least 8 hours of sound sleep is a must. Since your body is actually building up muscles, while you rest. Weight gainers have long term side effects.

I am 35 years old. I am suffering from thyroid. How can I reduce weight? Can you suggest some medicine also?

I am 35 years old. I am suffering from thyroid. How can I reduce weight? Can you suggest some medicine also?
lybrate-user, If you are having hypothyroid then it is essential to control it effectively with TSH maintained between 3 to 4 mU/L. If not then efforts to reduce weight will not succeed. So first check the TSH level. You have grade 3 obesity, with 41.79 kgs/M2 BMI. This is a very tough situation. Your ideal body weight should be 60 kgs. So your diet should be based on that weight. Plus you will have to do a considerable amount of exercise daily. Dietary restrictions have to be very strictly adhered to. Caloric intake has to drop down to around 100 to 1200 calories per day. This can be very tough to sustain. Thanks.

It could be because of hereditary or health problem or food habits. So do medical check up.Eat small amount of foods.Do not skip meals. No sugar, sweetened juice, cola, soft drinks, fast foods, junk foods, processed foods.Take lots of watery vegetables, whole fruits.Use unrefined foods.Extra protein will help you.Use healthy oil in cooking but not much.Use lukewarm water after meals.Take lukewarm water with lemon juice on an empty stomach in the morning and do exercise like swimming, skipping, push ups,sit ups, plank, squat, because no pain means no gain. These will help you.

Protein is a macro nutrient necessary for the proper growth and function of the human body. There is considerable debate over the amount of protein a person needs to consume per day, the current recommended daily intake for protein is 56 grams. Foods with the highest protein yogurt, milk, soy milk, eggs, chicken, fish, cheese, nuts and seeds.

Weight loss by stating that I believe there are only two ways to truly manage weight, through exercising and eating healthy. There simply is no magic shortcut, and while this may seem obvious to some people it is overlooked far, far, too often. Now you?re probably wondering, if diet and exercise are the only ways to lose weight, why did you write this list? Because there are still natural remedies and recipes that will help you reach your ultimate goal. If you use these in addition to eating better and getting some exercise, they can speed up the process. There are many different contributing factors to losing/gaining weight, so the below remedies cover a wide range. Cinnamon Tea Blood sugar has a direct impact on your weight as it affects how hungry and how energetic you are (if you have energy you?re much more likely to exercise!) If your blood sugar is balanced you are less likely to have a disproportionately large appetite, and your body will be more apt to use fat (energy) rather than storing it. While debate about its effectiveness drags on, more and more preliminary studies are coming out showing that cinnamon can help manage blood sugar levels, so why not whip up a spicy cinnamon tea? You will need? -1 teaspoon of ground cinnamon -1 cinnamon stick -8 ounces of fresh water Directions Place the cinnamon in a mug and cover with 8 ounces of boiling water. Steep for 15 minutes before straining. Drinking 1-2 times a day. Have a Routine (and stick to it) Having a routine is, in my opinion, in the top three most important things you can do to lose weight, right up there with exercise and diet. If you don?t stick to a routine, you won?t see results, and you?ll be discouraged. Several years ago I saw a personal trainer and, after paying a decent sum of money, I figured out that it was the routine of going to see her made the biggest difference. It?s probably the single hardest thing you?ll do when you try to lose weight, but once those habits become hardwired into your brain, things will only get easier. . for treatment and diet chart for weight loss consult privately
