How to get slim what are the diet that should be followed?

Advanced Aesthetics
Ayurveda,
How to get slim what are the diet that should be followed?
Drastic diet plans will make you only look lethargic and undernourished. The weight loss indian diet should contain foods that will boost the metabolic rate of the body and at the same time add less calories. Some of the weight loss indian foods that can be included in a diet plan are given below 1. Brown rice most of the indians use white rice as their staple diet and it is rich in carbohydrate. Brown rice has more nutritional value and has a lower glycemic index than the white rice. Brown rice has more fiber and makes you feel fuller even when you eat less quantity. 2. Cucumbers there are different varieties of cucumbers available in india which is excellent for weight reduction diet. They are rich in water content and have very low calorie in them. They help to fill your stomach without adding extra calories in the diet. 3. Garlic garlic should be included in any weight loss diet as they reduce the appetite. It also reduces the cholesterol in the body and helps to maintain blood sugar level. They are very effective in preventing cardiovascular diseases and cancer. 4. Whole grains whole grains are rich in fiber and have low fat. Whole grains contain protein, minerals, vitamins, antioxidants and phytochemicals which are needed for maintaining good health. 5. Nuts and seeds nuts like peanuts and almonds and seeds like pumpkin seeds and flax seeds help to reduce bad cholesterol and improve the level of good cholesterol. They are rich in omega three fatty acids. 6. Fish if you are a non-vegetarian, you can include fish in your diet 2-3 days a week. They are excellent sources of protein and omega 3 fatty acids. To achieve weight reduction, avoid the use of fried fish. Sardines, anchovies, tuna, mackerel etc are the best choices. 7. Low- calorie fruits and vegetables apart from the above items you can also use various low-calorie vegetables and fruits in the indian diet to lose weight. Vegetables such as bell peppers, cabbage, mushrooms, onions and tomatoes have very low calories. Low-calorie fruits for weight loss include lemons, grapes, apple, pears, oranges, plums, strawberries, watermelon, etc. 8. Healthy spices spices also contribute to weight reduction to a certain extent. You can include cinnamon, cloves, cumin seeds, ginger, mustard seeds, turmeric and black pepper in various food preparations for weight loss. Why homeopathy is a better option for chronic diseases?

Why homeopathy is a better option for chronic diseases?

Why homeopathy is a better option for chronic diseases?

Chronic diseases can be defined as long-term diseases that plague an individual, and are generally progressive in nature, i. E. Their symptoms become worse as time passes by. Some of the common examples of these diseases are diabetes, heart disease, chronic respiratory diseases like COPD (chronic obstructive pulmonary disease) and stroke to name a few.

Their symptoms are progressive and fixed in nature and this causes a lot of hardships in the life of the affected people, ruining the quality of their life. Since these are the diseases one usually lives with, you are supposed to take pills/medicine every day.

It is important that the treatment of chronic diseases is reliable and does not cause any further harm.

Here are some reasons why homeopathy is a better option for chronic diseases.

1. No side effects

Homeopathic treatment not only cures the chronic diseases but also ensures that the medications do not cause any side effects whatsoever. Most of the conventional drugs treat problems but they also cause dangerous side effects that may increase your problems altogether. So, homeopathy is naturally the better option.

2. Permanent treatment

Homeopathy is a better option for chronic diseases because it helps to cure the chronic diseases permanently. This is so because homeopathy follows a holistic approach and treats the root of the problem in order to eliminate the diseases as a whole and not just reduce the symptoms. Also, homeopathic treatment is tailored to meet the specific requirements of the patient, which makes it a more viable option than conventional drugs.

How To Deal With GERD

How To Deal With GERD

Gastroesophageal reflux disease, or GERD, as it is commonly known is a digestive disorder that is caused primarily due to intestinal distress. GERD is caused in the muscle that lies between the oesophagus and the stomach, when the acid is produced in the stomach, it starts to flow backwards. For patients suffering from GERD, the acids flow back into the oesophagus instead of the stomach, causing symptoms like severe heartburn, chest pain and nausea, amongst others. So what does one do to deal with GERD? Here's a brief list!

  • Obesity: Being overweight and obese are two of the most important factors that contribute to discomfort in GERD patients. Working towards a healthier weight is a sure shot way of dealing with this ailment.
  • Alcohol and Smoking: The muscle ring that can be found between the stomach and the oesophagus relaxes with the intake of alcohol or with smoking, which prevents it from closing to stop the stomach's juices from reaching the oesophagus. So, giving up both substances would be a good idea if you are a GERD patient.
  • Go Gluten Free: Adopting a gluten free diet can help you cut out ingredients including grains and dairy products that contain more protein than what your digestive tracts can handle.
  • Other Dietary Measures: In order to handle GERD effectively, you will need to remove or reduce chocolate, fatty food, spicy food, and even oily and fried food from your diet. You may need the help of food with extra fibre, like fruit so that it can pass through the digestive tract faster.
  • Smaller and Well Timed Meals: Eating meals regularly and dividing them into smaller meals that can be digested quickly and more efficiently is one of the best ways of dealing with GERD to prevent the onset of backward flowing of stomach acids.
  • Exercise: Ensuring that you do not take a nap or lie down right after a meal and putting in a small amount of exercise everyday will also help in doing away with the uncomfortable and painful symptoms of this disease.

Making lifestyle changes is one of the best ways to deal with GERD. Yet, it would be best to see a doctor regarding severe cases where the symptoms do not abate and medication may be required.

Mr Umar, If he has diabetes then appropriate treatment should be started, which I am sure you might have already initiated the treatment too. If not then start it now. Along with that diet restriction and regular exercise for 1 hour a day. He should avoid sweets, deep fried foods, junk foods, aerated sweetened drinks and pastries. Consume more of green leafy vegetables, salads.Should refrain from alcohol and smoking. If you want more specific guidelines please come in a private conversation with all the above details including weight, height and dietary pattern and extent of exercise being done.

Hi Persistent very high blood sugar values may need short intensive insulin therapy. Bring the blood sugars under good control with insulin and then put them back on oral medications. You must understand that diabetes is a progressive disease and all patients require insulin at some point in life to control diabetes when multiple oral medications do not help.

What are precautions should be taken to reduce obesity in children?

P.G.Diploma in dietetics and applied nutrition
Dietitian/Nutritionist,
Hi in children obesity becomes quite common because of the high intake of refined wheat like maids in form of noodles, pastas, maggi etc. To reduce this you can't stop them suddenly from all these, but changing quality of food would help control their weight. Start cooking healthy options like veg parathas, whole wheat pastas. Can make whole wheat bread base for pizza. But include other veg as a source of fiber. Can include lots if vegetables juices rather than fruit juices kindly consult in private and would be glad to help you. Thanks.

combination of the above medicines is ok, and they are essential for your well being. Precaution is only diet and enviroment. you should have good ventilation in the house. prevent musty and dark areas in your house. you need to take good protinous and nutritious diet. though you are diabetic and under food restriction you need to take nutritious diet for recovery from tb, so except sugar and sweets, take sufficient quatity of food what ever that is cooked in the house add some proteins like milk, non veg, eggs etc., and basing on the sugar levels increase the dosage to diabetic medicines. Have some physical activity like walking and yoga etc.,for tb apart from medicines diet is an important factor.
