Stop eating wheat and wheat products for 1 month, avoid sugar, canned food, refined (use sarso oil only), secondly eat seasonal fruits every alternative days and other alternative days only normal dal, vegetables and rice or mostly south indian dishes. Stat eating triphla chooran in morning emty stomach with luke warm water (available in patanjali stores). And the most important thing start doing surya namaskar in morning. Try not to eat anything after sunset, this will make you slim and healthy.

After multiple patients have asked us about the authenticity of oil pulling as a technique, here's what we have to say:

There is no denying all of us wait for a miracle cure to that terrible disease called dental decay. Much of a dentists or a dental hygienists time goes into answering the question,

why do cavities happen? or how do I prevent cavities?

While people usually assume the answer is brushing and flossing there are some lesser known ancient techniques and some ultramodern gadgets that have contributed to our arsenal of options to keep your mouth healthy.

Oil pulling being one of them has been in the limelight of late.

What is oil pulling?

This oral therapy is a type of ayurvedic medicine that dates back 3, 000 years. It involves swishing approximately 1 tablespoon of oil typically coconut, sesame, or sunflower oil in semisolid form (as shown in the pic) in your mouth for about 20 minutes and then spitting it out.

Start with just 5 minutes a day. Twenty minutes of swishing is a long time, and while the longer you pull, the more bacteria you'll remove, 5 or 10 minutes will still offer some benefit.

A gentle swishing, pushing, and sucking the oil through the teeth is all that's required

Don't swallow. if you find it hard not to, you likely have too much oil in your mouth, spit it out and try again with a smaller amount. just discard the used oil into the nearest cup or trash can.

Why oil pulling? how does it work?

Recent studies show that oil pulling helps against gingivitis, plaque, and microorganisms that cause bad breath.

How? most microorganisms inhabiting the mouth consist of a single cell, cells are covered with a lipid, or fatty, membrane, which is the cell's skin. When these cells come into contact with oil, a fat, they naturally adhere to each other.

Which oil?

Use coconut oil. While you can get the same bacteria-fighting benefits with sesame or sunflower oil, coconut oil has the added benefit of lauric acid, which is well-known for its anti-microbial agents. Also, a recent study found that coconut oil may help prevent tooth decay.

coconut and sunflower oil aren't the only oils with dental health benefits. For irritated, inflamed gums, rub a little vitamin e oil directly on the surface. It's rich in antioxidants, easily absorbed, and helps regenerate healthy gum tissue.

Preventing gum infections caused by harmful bacteria in the mouth


Expert tip

It doesn't reverse the effects of tooth decay, but it's a great supplemental therapy to reduce the bacterial count in the mouth thereby decreasing the likelihood of decay and other dental and systemic diseases.

The only disclaimer we would want to put in is


Do not ingest or swallow the oil in all your enthusiasm and,
Don't skip brushing and flossing. Oil pulling should never replace routine dental visits and traditional home oral care.


While oil pulling can't change your life or make you never need to go to a dentist again -try it for yourself, if it reduces your chances of decay and maybe even helps you ace your next dental visit with no new cavities.

Follow these best methods to easily gain weight and get a healthy body - * to gain weight, first take a diet rich with proteins and fats. You should take high calories food that increase your muscle mass and induce growth in bones. Follow the diet chart in your daily life to fastly gain weight * in morning, take a glass of milk added with 2 teaspoons of bournvita or complan powder with breakfast. * after 2 hours of breakfast, take 2 bananas or a bowl of boiled soyabeans. To increase your hunger & proper digestion of food - take 10 gms powder of carom seeds (ajwain, 10 gm powder of cumin (jeera), 10 gm of rock salt. Mix them well and take 1/2 teaspoon (3-5 gm) of mixture daily after lunch * in lunch time, take 1 bowl of curd or 100 gm of cheese, a bowl of vegetable, with chapattis. You can take 2 bowl of careals (moong/chana daal) on the place of curd or cheese. * in evening, take 1 glass of milk (300 ml) with 10-12 pieces of dry fruits or 3-4 pieces of dates (khajoor). * in night, take a bowl of careals (daal, a bowl of salad with chapattis. 3. In morning, get up early and take awalk for 10-15 minutes and exercise light weight exercises for at least 30 minutes at home or gym. Exercise is very important so that muscles gain mass from the heathy diet. 4. For proper weight, proper sleep is very important. So you should sleep for 6-8 hours daily. 5. Avoid smoking & alcohol drinkg completely. I assure you that you definitely gain weight fastly by following them. Be healthy

Hi, do regular gym as this has increased your body stamina and follow the below to gain fat on your body :-1. Take alfalfa tonic(wsi), 2 – 2 tsp. Thrice a day, half an hour before meals. 2. Mix three teaspoons of lemon juice, one teaspoon of honey, and one-half teaspoon of black pepper powder in one cup of water. If you use freshly ground black pepper, then just add one-quarter teaspoon. Drink it in the morning on an empty stomach. Do this daily for at least three months. Take pranacharya medohar rasayn twice a day. Medohar guggul 2-2 twice a day. And pranacharya slim capsule 1-1 twice a day. Avoid junk food. Oily food. Fermented food. Alcohol consumption. Sugar. Milk products and sweets. Take oats and cereals more. And do pranayama early in the morning and walk for atleast 45 minutes a day. And do exercises. Do not sleep immediately after taking meal.

Dear, you can get a healthy muscular body by following methods: - 1. Hye, Thanks for the query. Most often loss of bone density is due to deficiency of nutrients and wrong eating habits. It is important to know that just eating two heavy meals a day will not fulfill your nutrient needs. Most often we skip meals especially when at work or in college. We start our day on empty stomach but our work or stress or activity is never reduced. This causes weakness and lack of energy levels and definitely deficiency of major nutrients. . Food is our source of energy and if you don't eat well as per your needs you are going to get deficient in many nutrients. So, start by eating the right foods at the right time. Eat meals at frequent intervals. Eat a mid meal between each main meal. Avoid junk foods. Include curd, paneer, eggs, nuts, fruits in your meals. Include cereals like ragi, seeds like sesame, coconut and pulses like rajma, chana ,sprouts in your diet. Avoid alcohol and smoking.  Avoid excessive tea, coffee, and avoid aerated drinks. Sleep well.  Exercise at least thrice a week. This is essential for bone health.

The best solution would be carry some fruits,buttermilk with ginger added to it,drop in to have some fresh kokum juice or coconut water. This will help minimize the effects of indigestion

I am 70 years Male from Bokaro (Jharkhand. I have sleep disorder-Do not get sound sleep in night, always remain dreaming all unconcerned. I am also Diabetic (FBS 155) HTN (145/90). I take Rivotril 0.5 mg daily in night, this causes over- exhausted during next day all along. Reducing the does to 0.25 mg Rivotril also does not work well. Shall be grateful, if you please advice. As par bmi calculated in your case your bmi is coming to 31. That means you are falling in the category of obese. Obesity gives rise to several health problems and diabetes is one of them. It also causes a less appreciated condition called sleep apnoea syndrome. If you are snoring too much and loud. And you have significant daytime somnolence (feeling sleepy during day. If your bystanders watch that you stop breathing for long pause. Then struggle and wake up briefly and then again fall into sleep with loud snoring. You are perhaps having this syndrome. Once it is suspected. First thing will be a proper diagnosis by a chest physician (preferably) who will carry pit a sleep test. This simple test will diagnose your problem in a day. Accordingly you will be suggested treatment. In sleep apnoea. The treatment is very effective. Your daily use of revoltril will no more be a necessity. I wish you also take care of your excess weight issue more seriously and put more endeavour to bring it down to normal level. Once you achieve that. Your diabetes and blood pressure will also come under better control and you may need to takei less medicines.

With pcod weight loss is very tough, and takes long time, along with gyming or exercise take healthy diet including fruits, dairy products and vegetables, without skipping meals. Drink lots of juices and water. Quit coffee, canned and fried food.

Dear lybrate-user Weight gain can be a time-consuming process. You have to increase your food intake; follow 5 time small meal pattern. Start taking bananas, mangoes+ 1 glass milk+ protein supplement, 4-5 almonds. Follow healthy food options to increase weight ; avoid junk. Start taking 2tsp alovera and 2 tsp amla jiuice in a cup of water every early morning to detoxify the liver as it would help in weight gain. Drink plenty of water, have fruits, fresh fruit juices, raw paneer, eggs, do some physical activity. Protein or weight gain supplements are helpful .you can follow 2 scoop of Proteinx in a glass of milk.
