This is the best type of yoga for increasing height. This yoga pose lengthens the spines and strengthens the legs, feet, arms, and shoulders. It is also helpful for relieving fatigue, insomnia, headache, and stress. Begin on all fours and lift your hips up by straightening your legs so that your body forms an inverted v shape. Maintain your hands shoulder width apart and feet hip-width apart. Keep your shoulders wide and press your hands on the ground. Hold the pose in a relaxed manner while taking long breaths. Wait for 30 seconds and come back to the starting position. Repeat it 2 to 3 times.

The Ash Gourd belongs to the family of Cucurbitaceae and Benincasa hispida is its binomial name. In Ayurveda it is also known as कुष्माण्ड. It is recognized for its medicinal properies in Ayurveda System of Medicine. It is also commonly known as Wax Gourd, Winter Melon, Green Pumpkin or पेठा. It is not just the fruit, which is useful, but its seeds and seed oilis equally useful. Ash gourd is easily available throughout India.

Understanding the Key benefits of Ash Gourd

  1. It helps in treating Acid reflux syndrome (अम्लपित्त) with the help from its active principles such as Terpenes, Flavanoid C, glycosides and sterols, sincethey have antioxidant effects which help in inhibiting gastric mucosal damage.

Hi lybrate user, 1) avoid oily, spicy, junk, fermented and stale foods, 2) sleep upto 10-10.30 pm, 3) avoid coffee and tea, a) eat 30-40 black currants and 1 tsf of jiggery during meals, b) take 200 ml of fresh butter milk with pinch of saindhav lavan after meals, c) take 30 ml of aamla juice along with 15 ml of honey in morning on empty stomach, d) take fresh juice of beet or pomegranate in morning instead of breakfast, e) do yoga and anuloma-viloma pranayam regularly for 20-30 minutes do all these things for 15 days gives you good result thanks.

To reduce belly fat you need to be particular about food choices & timings. Eat small & frequent meals. Include high fiber foods in your diet such as whole cereals & whole pulses. Drink plenty of water. Avoid refined foods from your diet such as maida, pasta. Keep check on your food intake.

My mother have diabetes and I don't know if it is type 2 diabetes. But yes she doesn't take any insulin injection, so which type it is. Also her weight is much so can you give suggestions on weight loss. N Also prescribe a good diet. Also suggest me a good glucometer easily available in medical stores.

you can go for following remedy Natural home remedy using bitter gourds: 1. Remove the skin and seeds of 4-5 bitter gourds 2. Crush them to a make a paste 3. Press this paste on a sieve an extract the juice 4. Drink this juice on an empty stomach every morning this is very helpful, if it dosent work then you must consult ayurvedic doctor.

Hi Lybrate User. You have tried different methods. Which didn't work. No problem. Now you try to do what I am suggesting to you. 1. Focus on getting fit. Focus on being a Health Warrior rather than focusing on losing weight. 2. The fitter you become. The younger you will be and lighter you will be. 3. Get your mind away from weight machine. 4. You did try exercises but usually they are not intensive enough. 5. You have to do intensive exercise to lose weight. 6. Intensive means doing treadmill for 40 mins at speeds beyond 6. 7. Intensive does not include any mat based exercise or Yoga. 8. Gym workouts are mostly slow paced without much benefit. 9. Join Aerobics or Zumba Classes. Or see Youtube. Skinny Jeans workouts or HIIT workouts. 10. Start doing Surya Namaskar daily after 10 mins warmup. You should start with 3 rounds and add two additional rounds every week. 11. As for your diet. Get a 1600 calorie diet plan from the net and follow it. 12. If you are not able to do these on your own. Consult a dietician who can help you and guide you. It is possible to be fit and slim. Its only that you need right guidance and support. Don't give up.

Yes,   Pay close attention to your food choice. ·    Eat less carbohydrate food sources like chapatti, rice, noodles, pasta, bread etc as they help in gaining weight and storing fat. ·    While having lunch or dinner eat vegetables and dal to fill your stomach rather eating lots of chapattis or rice. ·     Have a healthy breakfast like poha, idli, upma, plain dosa, oats, dalia or khichdi with vegetables. ·        Eat a balance diet including good quality proteins like: fish, lean chicken and eggs. If you are a vegetarian then include skimmed milk, low fat paneer, butter milk, soy bean or soy milk in your diet. ·        Avoid ghee, butter or vanaspati. Prepare your diet with vegetable oil like sunflower, safflower soybean or olive oil. ·        Eat plenty of salads. ·        Eat fresh fruits including apple, orange, pineapple, papaya, sweet lime, berries, guava, watermelon, mask melon etc. ·        Avoid eating outside junk and fried foods like pizza, pasta, roll, burgers, cakes, chocolates and cookies. ·        Have an early dinner. The earlier the better, giving your system more time to digest the food. ·        Avoid cold drinks/alcohol as they add empty calories to your diet. ·        Avoid fat enriched milk products like cheese, sweets, full fat cream etc. ·        Drink 3 liters of water in a day. ·        Try to have less sugar in food and beverages. ·        Try to drink 2 cups of green tea in a day as green tea helps in weight loss by aiding digestion. ·        Avoid red meat like mutton, beef, lamb or pork. ·        Eat sprouts or roasted chana, whenever you feel hungry.

Hi, I am both a registered dietitian and a doctor who will help you in losing your weight as well as solve your other health problems through a dietary therapy. Let me know your food intake details. The best diet is one which is healthy and well balanced with foods from all the food groups, and one which is varied and that you can stick to weight loss on some diets can be dramatic in the short term, but there's more of a chance of rebound weight gain. Set yourself a realistic target and aim to lose between (0.5-1.0kg) a week I being a registered dietitian strongly accommodate the patients own preferences without the patient feeling that they are on a diet not compromising the weight management goals. Don't fall for self dieting or fad diets availiable online they have harmful effects in the long run, if you lose a lot of weight very quickly, you may not lose as much fat as you would with a more modest rate of weight loss. Instead, you might lose water weight or even lean muscle tissue, since it's hard to burn that many fat calories in a short period. I will need to carry out detailed assessment in your case, after assessing your personal challenges to weight loss, I will recommend a strategy to gradually change habits and attitudes that have sabotaged your past efforts. Also the overall objective should not be to drastically reduce weight but doing it gradually and help rebuild body tissues and to maintain ideal body weight. I being a both a registered dietitian (rd) and doctor have been successfully helping patients with their problems through a holistic approach using customized therapeutic diet and medications. Hi, according to your hight your weight is high. Take 1glass lukewarm water with half lemon in the morning. Take more vegetable and salad in your meal. Drink more water in a day. Don't take rice at night and don't skip breakfast. Include protein rich food in your diet. Avoid junk food. Take small and frequent meals. Fever is not considered medically significant until body temperature is above 100.4 F (38 C). Fever serves as one of the body's natural defences against bacteria and viruses which cannot live at a higher temperatures. Also, the body's defence mechanisms seem to work more efficiently at a higher temperature -Fevers of 104 F (40 C) or higher may be dangerous and demand immediate treatments like: -Acetaminophen (dolo-650 mg) twice or thrice can be used to lower a fever . Aspirin should not be used for fever in children/ adolescents or during a viral illness. -Wear loose fitting clothes and don’t overdress. Overdressing can cause temperature to rise further. -Tepid water (85 F [30 C]) baths may help bring down a fever -The body should be cooled with a wet sponge. -A fever can cause severe dehydration. Drink plenty of fluids.. Have citrus fruits, particularly Vitamin C rich ones like mausami, Amla juice etc. -Take light and easily digestible home cooked meals .avoid outside food -Wash hands frequently with soap and water especially after returning from public places or public transport. -Further therapy depends on the cause of fever like urinary infection/typhoid or malaria/dengue infection and the accompanying symptoms that need to be investigated and treated accordingly

Since your Drs have declared you normal , you can do exercise as per your capacity. Regarding Vit D , lots of people are getting a low report because This is a Sunshine Vitamin manufactured in our liver with the help of sunlight. It can be given as a supplement to diet but make sure you do not take it in excess as it being a fat soluble vitamin , does not come out of body by drinking more water , but extra Vit D gets deposited in liver. 500 IU /day is better than 60,000 IU / Week.

For a diabetic it is best advised to have a diet planned as per the sugar levels, lifestyle and history. Though you can follow some guidelines - have small frequent meals. Do not fast for long hours. Avoid a very heavy meal at one time. Avoid fruit juices, aerated drinks or sugarcane juice, honey, jaggery or sugar. Avoid junk foods. Eat local and seasonal foods. Fruits are fine as long as eaten in moderation as a midmeal. Exercise and stay active. Do not attempt to try out too many remedies as you could go into hypoglycaemia. Sleep well. It's all a matter of discipline.

Hello You need not worry. Drink plenty of water. Take 3 main meals and 2 side meals. Don't skip breakfast. Sleep for 7-9 hours per night. Start your day with peanut butter sandwich. After 2 hours take 500ml milk. After 2 hours take 2-3 chapati with ghee applied along with paneer curry. Evening banana shake. Take apple before workout. After workout take 1 scoop of whey protein powder. Dinner take 2-3 chapati with ghee applied along with paneer or soya curry. Thank you
