Hi, your triglycerides are a bit on higher side and HDL is on lower side. If you are over weight start exercising regularly (walking/workouts) and reduction in weight can help you. Include whole grain cereals, pulses, fruits and vegetables, skimmed milk and milk products, lean meat and skin out chicken in your diet. Your meal pattern should be of 6 meals where you will be having break fast, mid morning snack, lunch, evening snack, dinner and bed time snack. Avoid oily or fat foods, junk foods, butter, ghee, margarine, vanaspati, palm oil, red meat, organ meat. Include flaxseeds, oats, chia seeds almonds (5-6 in no.), green tea, fatty fish (tuna, trout, salmon, sardine), avocado (in limited portion), olive oil/canola oil/ rice bran oil.

I am having triglycerides at 499 and other cholesterol parameters are within healthy range. I have also got vitamin b12 at 144 which is very low. What to do ?

Dear , upper limit of triglycerides is 150, your's is very high. You should consult a cardiologist and a dietician, to prescribe you proper medicines and diet to reduce tg levels.

Hi lybrate-user. According to your symptoms I can say that you have gastritis. It occurs due to many reasons including over eating, eating junk food, oily food, spicy food and bacterial infection. Dear lybrateuser, -avoid spicy, fried & junk food, have bland, fresh homemade food -take syrup gelusil, 2 teaspoonful 20 min before meals three times a day -take a capsule spasmindon if pain is more -do not skip meals, take meals on time, have dinner 2-3 hrs before bed time -have 8-10 glasses of clean, filtered water -do regular exercise for properdigestion, also include yoga.

Hello, chest pain may be because of heart problems , lung problems, gastrointestinal problems, anxiety or panic attack. So please mention few more symptoms associated with it so that i can diagnose the cause and suggest you the medication accordingly. IF it is a gastric pain then take China 30 ch , 33 drops twice daily for 7 days. Take care , thank you.

Hellow doctor, I am 38 years old, height - 5.10, weight - 78kg. My blood pressure is 160/110 from 1st time checked on 11.05. 15. Till today (i. E. 18.05. 15) blood pressure is remain same 160/110. I am not feeling any problem, some how I am feeling a little pain in my foot.Please suggest doctor, what have to do. Am I on risk?

Get a cardiologists opinion for your bp. For pain I foot you may try antiinflammatory drugs which are sold over the counter and cold packs.

To control & maintain Blood pressure to normal these are best methods to follow:.• Do physical exercise like jogging, running or brisk walk for atleast 20-30 minutes. • Maintain your cholesterol level to normal & eat least amount of butter, cream or fatty things. • Eat less amount of pickle, salt and fast food as they contain high sodium levels. • Avoid drinking alcohol and smoking. • Take less amount of caffine containing coffee, tea or cold drinks because caffine causes increase BP. • Drink 8 to 10 glass of water daily • Take 6 to 8 hrs of sleep daily. Do not take too much stress. • Do long breathing pranayams (Anulom- Vilom, Bhramari) daily for 10 - 15 minutes. It will reduce your stress level in your body. • Eat healthy diet such as green leafy vegetables, fruits. • Take 5 ml of GULAB Jal added in a glass of water daily once a day.

If you have completed full course of your anti tb drugs and have been assessed at the end of the course by a final x ray and blood tests which have shown good healing. You are cured. If you have any doubt. You may simply do a blood test like esr which is a good indicator of disease activity.(normal means no activity. Also a simple cbc of blood to check if your block counts are normal. You may do the check ups and cone hack to this platform. We shall be able to guide you further.

You are having stress and anxiety. Lifestyle changes will be of great help. Diet: it is always important to watch your diet. You are what you eat. Eat what your body needs, reduce refined foods, processed foods and increase the amount of whole grains and fruits and vegetables. Eating small frequent meals goes a long way. Reduce intake of saturated fats; include more lean meats. Choose grilling and steaming over frying and roasting. Recommended foods - Healthy carbohydrates, Fiber-rich foods, Heart-healthy fish and Good fats. Foods to avoid - Saturated fats, Trans fats, Cholesterol and Sodium Exercise: Every week, make sure about 2 hours is dedicated to physical activity. This could include any exercise of your choice, brisk walking, swimming, cycling, aerobics, hiking, jogging, skipping, gymnastics, or playing games like football or basketball. While in most cases, the person can do these on their own, in some people, supervision may be required. Watch your weight: controlling weight to a desirable level of BMI of 18 and 23 is very important. Obesity is one of the predisposing factors for diabetes heart diseases, and reducing weight controls the onset of diabetes and helps the progression of symptoms in diabetics. Smoking: Another risk factor for diabetes onset, palpitation, sleeplessness. Quitting is the best option. If not feasible, reducing smoking and gradually quitting should be aimed at. Not just diabetes, the effects on overall health will be evident almost immediately after quitting. Stress management: there is no getting away from stress. Everybody has their stresses but the trick is to manage it well. Whether it is music or meditation or medication or counselling, make sure stress levels are managed. This also helps prevent complications like heart disease and stroke and promotes well-being.
