Here are some tips for how to handle your back pain: -stop normal physical activity for the first few days. This will help relieve your symptoms and reduce any swelling in the area of the pain. -apply heat or ice to the painful area. One good method is to use ice for the first 48 to 72 hours, and then use heat. Take pain relievers medicine. --while sleeping, try lying in a curled-up, fetal position with a pillow between your legs. If you usually sleep on your back, place a pillow or rolled towel under your knees to relieve pressure. -find a mattress with back support. A good mattress should provide support for the natural curves and alignment of the spine. Medium-firm mattresses usually provide more back pain relief than firm mattresses. -do not perform activities that involve heavy lifting or twisting of your back for the first 6 weeks after the pain begins. -avoid bending forward and sitting in a place for long time -stretching and strengthening exercises are important. But, starting these exercises too soon after an injury can make your pain worse. -some physiotherapy treatment like ift current can give you some relief.

It has many reasons few are in balanced diet and hyderation lack of warm up and stretching exercises or physical activity pathological reasons injury or trauma etc do take balanced diet and hyderated avoid stress anxiety and anticipating the things do regular physical activity and breathing exercises and strengthening and stretching exercises from neuro physiotherapist for about 15 minutes duration each time regularly best wishes.

I am 23 years old male. I am having shin splints from past 1 month. I went to a orthopedist. He did x-rays of my legs and he said everything is fine and gave me pain killers. I did every stretching exercises he told me to do but my shin splints are not healing as I am taking full rest now a days but I am having my Indian Army physical test after two months. You should give rest to you legs for ate at-least two-three weeks, then you should start training gradually increasing distance. You can also apply Medicrepe bandages to both calf while you are walking/running to expedite healing.

Please let me know how the pain started. You may clarify how the pain is--whether radiating, located at a place like knee. Etc.* walking regularly at slow pace without unduly straining helps as it improves blood circulation around knee and eases the joint. *you can use mustard oil for massage which is good in winter season for relieving pain. Eucalyptus oil is also good homoeopathy has a good treatment for this without adverse effects. Take bryonia 200---twice daily morning and evening and give feedback after 7 days

M 28 years old female suffering from back pain. As doctors advice I did MRI n report was lumbosacral spine shows mild disc bulge at L4_L5, n frm my blood test its shows that I have vitamin D3 insufficiency. Dr. advice me to wear Lumbosacral belt n to avoid physical activities, floor activities n sometimes it may lead my condition bad. My question Dr. Is it can't b cured ? Avoid physical activities, that shall I have to avoid sex also ? N most important thing Dr. pls tell I can't b pregnant. I can't give birth to a child ? Husband is thinking that due to this my pregnancy will get complicated.

First of all, pls get rid of all these misconceptions which r in your mind growing. 1. Mri report is not bad at all, do back muscles strengthening exercises. Stop using lumbosacral belt continuously. Stop sitting for longer duration and lifting heavy weights. 2. For vit d deficiency, take vit d3 supplements. You will be alright.

Hello lybrate-user, first you need to find reason for your back pain. It can be due to any fall from bike or height, any gastric problems like ulcer, gas trouble or may be due to nerve compression of backbone. First find the reason nd have medications. Regarding medications there are both oral medications nd external therapies. In oral medications for nerve compression or pain due to fall, you need have decoction nd pills along with fermented liquid. But in case gastric problems, you need to have medicated ghee. Take care nd find the reason.

Back ache can be due to several reasons. It can be muscular, related to disc degeneration or prolapse, joint irritation or nerve pinching. Most common is muscle pain due to tight and weak back and abdominal muscles. Keep a positive attitude, focus more on keeping good posture especially when sitting for long hours, use lumbar support. Take frequent breaks and stretch in between. Try changing sleeping habits. Try hot or cold therapy as tolerated. Wish you speedy recovery.

It requires detailed investigation and examination. Preliminary investigations suggested: hb, tlc, dlc, esr, blood sugar fasting & pp, uric acid vit d urine r/e x-ray of the affected part. Anyway it may be tried sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding on it. Spring beds, folding beds or thick mattress are harmful use no pillow under the head. Do hot fomantation paracetamol 250mg od & sos x 5days. Caldikind plus 1tab od x10. Do neck, back, knee & general exercises. It may have to be further investigated. Do not ignore it. Let it not become beginning of a bigger problem. Make sure that patient is not allergic to any of the medicines that he/she is going to take. If it does not give relief in 4-5days, inform.

I am 35 year old male. I have severe leg pain on my both on my both legs. Taking some drug for this. Like calcium tablets and some more drug. Still, my leg pain is severe. My leg pain from last 2 years. Also try with some pain relieving lotion. What is better treatment for this? Also try one accupanjar treatment. Still my leg pain severe. Only calcium tablets enough and doing some exercise. Also walk some more distance. It's due to only aging problem. Any physiotherapy treatment available for this. Or only this tablets enough for me. For leg pain, please follow the below advise: keep your leg raised while sitting or lying quadriceps strengthening exercises- quad clenches: lie flat on your back or sit upright on a chair with leg kept horizontally on another surface. Now, tighten the muscle on the front of the thigh by pushing your knee down. You should feel your thigh muscles clench, hold for 3 secs. Repeat 10 times twice a day.

This could be due to lumbar spondylosis with nerve root compression. Rule out diabetes & vit. D deficiency or any other metabolic disorder. Sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding on it. Use no pillow under the head. Any way take paracetamol 250mg od & sos you will need other supportive medicines also. Do back (spine) exercises contact me again if need be. Make sure you are not allergic to any of the medicines you are going to take you may have to use lumbosacral support for some time. Avoid painful act/activities. Take medicines as prescribed it may have to be further investigated. Do reply back for private consultation and detailed treatment plan.

You must lose some weight Weight reduction can not be done overnight. You have to take it as a way of life. Do Diet control. no sugar in tea,coffee,milk etc. NO sweets Take small frequent meals. When you get used to it, skip one meal. Then after 3 months skip another meal, & so on? You should do non weight bearing Yoga exercises. Do not ignore It. could be beginning of a serious problem.

Back pain can be due to prolong sitting and poor posture when sitting walking sleeping etc you need to consult a physiotherapist to learn specific strengthening and stretching exs to improve pain and prevent recurring. Gud luck!

She can use brace for pain relief. Vertebroplasty gives good pain relief. She may need some additional medicines to increase bone density but those medicines are costly.
