Dear, it's time to switch to homeopathic medicines to maintain regularity in menses. But before that you need to undergo abdomen scan, amh test and thyroid profiles. Depending upon the test reports you can be treated. Take care.

Hi Manzur. 3 months 10 days is a long time. Upto 12 weeks one can do an abortion legally. After that it is illegal in India. However the only way to do it now is by medicines but in a medical set up only as there is chances of heavy bleeding and complications now.

Hi lybrate-user, don't worry about pcod. You need to follow healthy lifestyle. Please get thyroid evaluation along with couple of blood tests. Follow diet rich in protein, antioxidants, low carbohydrates, low fatty, avoid oily and junk food. Exercise for 40 min daily. No need to take any medicine for periods, just follow healthy lifestyle. You will need treatment for fertility in future.

It depends on the duration of pregnancy this time. If product is large you may bleed excessive. So do it under supervision of a gynaecologist.

I-pill taken immediately is most effective. You need to wait for another week for your menses to come and before you take pregnancy test. I-pill if taken within 24 hrs if 95% effective. On second day it is 85% effective.

Eat the good fat (olive oil, fish oil, flax seed oil or seed) with doctors permission only, take cla (conjugated linoleic acid) as per body weight to reduce abdominal fat. Get 8 hours sleep minimize stress to minimize stress hormones (and reduce abdominal fat) snack on a small amount of almonds (5 at a time) throughout the day (4 times a day maximum) never weigh yourself (judge progress by clothing size, inch loss, only) write a food diary every day to stay on track. Time will come you will be sound body with good fitness. Ok.

Water: How much should you drink every day?

C.S.C, D.C.H, M.B.B.S
General Physician,
Water: How much should you drink every day?
Water is essential to good health, yet needs vary by individual. These guidelines can help ensure you drink enough fluids.

How much water should you drink each day? It's a simple question with no easy answers. Studies have produced varying recommendations over the years, but in truth, your water needs depend on many factors, including your health, how active you are and where you live.

Although no single formula fits everyone, knowing more about your body's need for fluids will help you estimate how much water to drink each day.

Health benefits of water

Functions of water in the body
Water is your body's principal chemical component and makes up about 60 percent of your body weight. Every system in your body depends on water. For example, water flushes toxins out of vital organs, carries nutrients to your cells, and provides a moist environment for ear, nose and throat tissues.

Lack of water can lead to dehydration, a condition that occurs when you don't have enough water in your body to carry out normal functions. Even mild dehydration can drain your energy and make you tired.

How much water do you need?

Every day you lose water through your breath, perspiration, urine and bowel movements. For your body to function properly, you must replenish its water supply by consuming beverages and foods that contain water.

So how much fluid does the average, healthy adult living in a temperate climate need? The Institute of Medicine determined that an adequate intake (AI) for men is roughly about 13 cups (3 liters) of total beverages a day. The AI for women is about 9 cups (2.2 liters) of total beverages a day.

What about the advice to drink 8 glasses a day?

Everyone has heard the advice, "Drink eight 8-ounce glasses of water a day." That's about 1.9 liters, which isn't that different from the Institute of Medicine recommendations. Although the "8 by 8" rule isn't supported by hard evidence, it remains popular because it's easy to remember. Just keep in mind that the rule should be reframed as: "Drink eight 8-ounce glasses of fluid a day," because all fluids count toward the daily total.
Generally, if you drink enough fluid so that you rarely feel thirsty and your urine is colorless or light yellow — and measures about 6.3 cups (1.5 liters) or more a day if you were to keep track — your fluid intake is probably adequate. If you're concerned about your fluid intake or have health issues, check with your doctor or a registered dietitian. He or she can help you determine the amount of water that's right for you.

To ward off dehydration and make sure your body has the fluids it needs, make water your beverage of choice. It's also a good idea to:

Drink a glass of water or other calorie-free or low-calorie beverage with each meal and between each meal
Drink water before, during and after exercise
If any more doubts you can " consult me "

Dr. I am 43 year old female. Dr. From last year I had a problem of my pulse rate is very high in the afternoon e. F. ...
For a woman 43 tears is a phase called perimenopausal period, periods begin to decline or stop completely and this phase may last for 1 year or more if not counselled properly. This is due to decline in hormone called estrogen, responsible for feminity, but women like men cannot go on producing babies like men who are fertile at 80+! remember the changes brought in the kid in you at the time of puberty, when your periods started, they were seldom regular but with time and minus medicines, periods got a pattern and a part of your youth and fertility status. Menopausal syndrome means collection of symptoms like hot flushes, increase in heart beat, bp & risk of a heart attack, fragile bones with less calcium and prone to fractures, slight increase in weight @ 1/2 kg per year, prolapse of genitourinary organs due to shrinkage in muscle mass, leading to going to loo again and again, some mind changes due to empty nest syndrome as children are on their own. Remember women want to live and they do live 100 & beyond and 43, your age is less than midway! please stop anti anxiety tablet alprazolam because of suicidal and negative effects on taking off from medicine even for a day. Continue with propranolol as it has suited you, but there is a better alternavive to this betablocker metoprolol (propronalol does lead to breathing problems in some). Take calcium + vitamin supplement like shelcal 500 / day, drink toned milk & curds, boiled eggs and other simple proteins, remember our food pipe too slows down and cannot digest heavy food like a 16 years old active girl. Go for walks, get involved in fruitful activities, be surrounded by positive people or have strength to tolerate negative people, do not compare with other women of your age, each is different with her own set of problems, eat lots of fresh seasonal fruits & vegetables, less salt and fats but some good fats like a spoon of desi ghee / butter + a katori of assorted nuts, get a cardiac profile done - ecg, halter, bp, blood for sugar and total lipid profile. Get eyes tested as some amount of dryness does affect the eyes too. Do write back after a week, preferably a bit about your gyne history. Perimenopause phase lasts from 40-50 years & each woman has her own set of problems & we cannot generalize.
