You need to do hot and cold compress alternately if this helps you. Secondly you should take Mag phos 12 x - twice daily for next 3 days. If this does not helps you get back to me. Morever take rest for few days and then join gym again.

Hi, pain in the thighs and legs can b radiation from the back. Its nt necessary dat u hav back pain for that. Try locating a mckenzie therapist in your area. U dnt need general exs given by physios. U need direction specific exs according to your prob. As each individual and probs r diffi v giv exs wic suits the patient the best. Once the mckenzie therapist assess u vl help u self management skills to prevent future episodes of similar pains like dis.

Kindly show me a photograph & digital X RAYS of affected part. Rule out diabetes & vit.D deficiency or any other metabolic disorder. Sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding on it. SPRING BEDS, FOLDING BEDS OR THICK MATRESS ARE HARMFUL Use no pillow under the head. DO HOT FOMANTATION. Paracetamol 250mg OD & SOS x 5days. Caldikind plus 1tab OD x10. Do neck, back & general exercises. It may have to be further investigated. You will need other supportive medicines also. Make sure you are not allergic to any of the medicines you are going to take. Do reply back for detailed treatment plan. Do not ignore .It could be beginning of a serious problem.

. Do the cat/cow avoid bending in front. Postural correction- sit tall, walk tall. Apply hot fomentation twice daily. Extension exercises x 15 times x twice daily. Bhujang asana. Core strengthening exercises. Back stretchingstretch.

Hello lybrate-user, knee pain occur after 30-35 are due to degenerative changes in bone. It may be due to osteoarthritis or rheumatoid arthritis. So consult a physio and learn some strengthening exercise and start doing it guided by them. From xray images and symptoms of patient we can come into conclusion either it is due to osteoarthritis or rheumatoid arthritis. So in both the condition knee strengthening exercise plays important role. There are also ultrasound, ift, swd modality available in physio setup to get you releive from pain. So it would be better if you visit a nearby physio and start doing exercise guided by them. There isn't particular food to avoid for knee pain, but if you are overweight then you have to take care of your diet. Because as much your weight increases all weight will transfer to knee so it is better to keep maintain your weight. It is better to take calcium rich food such as milk, paneer, curd etc.

Core strengthening exercise- straight leg raised with toes turned outward, repeat 10 times, twice a day. Hams stretching- lie straight, take the leg up, pull the feet towards yourself, with a elastic tube or normal belt. Repeat 10 times, twice a day. Quadriceps exercises- lie straight, make a towel role and put it under the knee, press the keen against the role, hold it for 20 secs. Repeat 20 times twice a day. This will help relieve some pain.

Apply hot fomentation twice daily. Avoid bending in front. Postural correction- sit tall, walk tall. Extension exercises x 15 times x twice daily - lying on tummy, take left arm up for 3 seconds, then bring it down, right arm up for 3 seconds, bring down. Bring right leg up, hold for 3 seconds, bring it down. Then right leg up and hold for 3 seconds and bring it down. Repeat twice a day- 10 times. Bhujang asana -- lie flat on your stomach, keeping the palms out, bend the neck backward, take a deep breath and while holding it for 6 seconds, raise the chest up. Release breath and relax your body. Repeat the exercise 15 times twice daily. Core strengthening exercises- straight leg raised with toes turned outward, repeat 10 times, twice a day.

Arthritis

Arthritis occurs when the joints in the body are inflamed or there is a breakdown of cartilage in the joints. Joints are places in the body where two or more bones meet, such as the hip or knee. Cartilage is the cushion in the joints that protects them from pressure and makes movements smooth. When cartilage breaks down in a joint, the bones rub together.

This causes pain, swelling, and stiffness. The most common type of arthritis is osteoarthritis. With this type of arthritis, the joints wear out over time from the use or as the person ages. Injury to a joint may also lead to this type of arthritis. Osteoarthritis occurs most often in the knees, hips and hands. The joints begin to ache
And thicken. At times, the tissues around the joint become trained and cause more pain.

Arthritis can also occur when the immune system, which normally
Protects the body from infection, attacks the body's tissues. Rheumatoid arthritis is the most common type of this kind of arthritis. It causes inflamed and painful joints and may affect other parts of the body, such as the heart, muscles, blood vessels,
Nerves and eyes.

Signs of arthritis

- joint pain
- joint is not stable or it feels like it will not support you
- joint enlarges or swells
- stiffness, often in the morning
- limited use of joint
- warmth around the joint
- redness of the skin around joint

Other signs may occur with rheumatoid arthritis. If you have any signs that cause you pain or concern, see your doctor.

Tests

Your doctor will talk to you about your health and look at your joints. Your doctor may order blood tests. Uric acid and r. A elisa and x-rays.

Treatment

Treatment of arthritis depends on:
- the cause
- which joints are painful
- the amount of pain
- how arthritis affects your daily activities
- your age
- your work or activity

Your doctor may suggest:

- medicine to control pain and swelling
- physical or occupational therapy
- weight loss
- heating joints with warm water
- oiling on joints

As a part of your treatment, you may need to:

- exercise to improve movement and joint strength. Good choices
Include walking, swimming, bike riding, dancing, strength training
And gentle stretching exercises.
- use hot or cold treatments to control pain and swelling.
- avoid positions or movements that put extra stress on your painful joints.
- avoid staying in a position too long.

Call your doctor right away if:

- you have severe unexplained joint pain.
- the joint is very swollen.
- you suddenly have a hard time moving the joint.
- your skin around the joint is red or hot to the touch.
- you have other signs that concern you.

Identify the mid point between the ankle bone and tendons and give pressure with a blunt edge on either side of your foot for 2 minutes. Also give pressure in the web between 2nd and 3rd finger from your toe for 2 minutes. Finally give a good massage for both feet in hot water. Identify the dipping portion on the back of your knee folding. Press this dip with both middle fingers and hold your knee with your thumbs for support. Please swing 20 times morning and evenings. This will relieve your problem. Inform after 10 days.

Hi. Laser therapy would be helpful in reducing pain, inflammation and healing. For laser therapy you need to visit your nearby physiotherapy clinic. Do contrast bath I .e.Hot and cold Fomentation alternately with repetitions of 4 to 5 times. Start and end with hot water. Use comfortable or sports shoes.

Use modified footwear and avoid load bearing on the same. Ultrasonic therapy helps a lot. For sudden onset go for analgesics. Later on do stretching exercises.

Hello lybrate-user, pain in legs and sleepy feeling can be due to vitamin and calcium deficiency. You can take tablet bi to zed forte one tablet in afternoon for a month and see the difference. For burning sensation, you can take syp gelusil one tsp post lunch and post dinner.
