Please do not push-pull yourself too much so as to continue the pain. please do hot and cold compresses alternately to relieve pain Take proper sleep/rest Also take Mag phos 6x - thrice daily 4 tabs Also a x-ray of the affected are needs to be done - to rule out any bone deformity.

You can apply warm sesame oil on both the knees twice a day. And if there is swelling as well then just apply ice pack. Do not walk a lot or stress your knees a lot. If the pain still continues, then can start with ayurveda treatment as it will heal you naturally.

My age 36 year, weight 57 kg. From last 2 month l am Suffering with knee pain left leg (I feel this pain only when I seat for latrine (at Indian style), when I stand up after 5-10 minutes I feel more pain intensity which goes after 5 minutes. Also I feel stiffness (very little). MRI done and findings are" mild synovial effusion" I want to know the following: -What is the meaning of report in simple language. -is it recover naturally or not? Will l face this problem long life. -Is this problems are treatable? What treatment/medicines are required to cure "synovial effusion" and how much long time. -What steps/precautions I should follow with this problem to avoid further harmful effects.

Contrast Fomentation (Hot and Cold). Avoid Squatting- Avoid sitting Cross legged Contrast bath---It is a form of treatment knee is applied warm water followed by the immediate application of the knee with ice water. This procedure is repeated several times, alternating hot and cold. Note that the treatment should always end in the ice water, as heat will induce the body's inflammatory response, while cold helps to decrease inflammation.

Hi, I was experiencing numbness in my extremities (only when sitting in awkward position or if I put pressure on them) since the last two years when I started gaining weight. I have gained almost 30 kg in the last 2 years from 62 to 92 kg. I had my blood sugar, thyroid and Nerve Conduction Velocity tested. All came out to be OK except vitamin b12 deficiency which was severe. I have some fatigue and short term memory problems. Please advice me on the best method to tackle this problem.

Hello sir being a dietitian I can help you in weight loss, for vitamin b 12 deficiency you can ask your Dr. About its injection, its very effective. Hello you need to understand the concept of weight loss, it requires cut down in calories (under the guidance of dietician) along with exercises like brisk walking or cycling or yoga and stretching 5 days a week for at-least 25-30 mins. Include foods like green tea, lemon water, jeera water, salad vegetables like onion, tomato, cucumber, kakri, cabbage and fruits like melon, watermelon, plums. Avoid fried foods, carbonated drinks, sweets and processed foods. Drink plenty of water. Take small and regular meals like 3 main meals and 2 side meals. Take chamomile tea before going to bed. Sleep for 7-9 hours per night. Don't skip breakfast. Thank you.

My father is having problem of cervical decompression and having neurogenic bladder and said for operate. But my dad fear from operate a lot. Whole family tried to make him understand from 1 month but all in vain. Doctor said operation is necessary and needed fast as problem is increasing. Dad is in tension. Do take ift and vacuum therapy physiotherapy treatment for pain relief for 12 days followed by strengthening exercise from neuro physiotherapist apply hot water fomentation thrice a day for 10 days regularly do revert for further assistance best wishes.

Stop going to gym. Take rest for week. If pain subside continue to gym avoiding weight lifting and floor exercise. Till than hot water fomentation.

Sciatic nerve pressed in L5, there was much pain in rt leg, after endoscopic surgery (on 5th Feb 2015) advised bed rest for 15 days, please suggest remedy

Since you've already undergone surgery , you'll need to start with back rehab and core strengthening exercises after 2 weeks. Your physiotherapist will be able to help you out with the exercises. Also start going for regular walks everyday with proper footwear.

1. Do regular aerobic exercise like brisk walking/jogging/running/cycling/swimming for 1 hour daily 2. Control diet 3. Avoid sweets, sugar, oily, fatty, excess calorie/cholesterol, saturated fat and carbohydrate rich diet. Take green leafy vegetables/fruits/salads. Drink plenty of water. Avoid junk food, bakery items like pizza/burger/cookies, soft drink, alcohol etc 5. Do yoga, pranayama, deep breathing exercise 6. Weight reduction process should be gradual, don't try drastic weight reduction by starving etc.
