How can I get rid of one crooked teeth I do not like braces is there any other option so that I can get my one teeth fix.

How can I get rid of one crooked teeth I do not like braces is there any other option so that I can get my one teeth ...
Dear Lybrate user, you don't need braces. If your fractured tooth is painful then you need RCT & caping of your crake (fractured) tooth. After RCT & caping your problem will be cure. If your fractured tooth is painless you can take restoration (filling) or caping in your fractured tooth. Please consult to your dentist for clinical diagnosis & needful treatment.

I have done my root canal 3 years before But now I have getting the same problem & also when I consult to dentist he told that abscess will occur inside after sometime. What to do now? Can I try again with root canal or I will go through extraction?

Dear lybrate user, your tooth which was treated for root canal has been reinfected, this indicates failure of root canal treatment. If you got any capping/crown done after RCT, it has to removed and re-RCT has to be done. If the condition of the tooth is worse, it will have to be extracted/removed. Re-infection after root canal treatment usually happens if complete elimination of infection was not done previously. It totally depends on your choice and the condition of the tooth whether it can be saved or not.

Pain killer and antibiotics will be suggested only after examining. Erupting wisdom tooth sometimes causes pain usually does not need any antibiotic. You can do warm saline rinse 3 or 4 times a day and visit to your dentist.

I went to a dentist for a toothache problem. I was told that there was a hole which was through the side of the tooth and by doing root canal treatment, the pain would go. I got the root canal treatment done and a cap also fixed on the tooth, but to my dismay the pain in that tooth still remains. Again Xray was conducted and I was given to understand that the tooth had no problem and the root canal was success. Still they could not identify the problem. What is the solution now?

hi sunil!!!i first thing would like to know is how many days has it been since ur root canal treatment and secondly how is the intensity of pain.sometimes the pain remains after the treatment for about a week to 10 days but keeps decreasing in intensity every passing day. if the intensity of pain continues to b the same then it needs intervention.cant comment anything for sure without the xray.u can take a second opinion from another dentist.

Are implants not possible if the teeth have been extracted many months ago or also if gums are not very broad?

MDS - Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery
Dentist, Chennai
Are implants not possible if the teeth have been extracted many months ago or also if gums are not very broad?
Yes. Its possible to place an implant. Kindly consult a dentist in person for further suggestion. We need more investigations (full mouth x-ray) to decide upon treatment. You may consult me in person. Dental tips: - visit a dentist every six months for cleaning and a thorough dental check-up. Limit sugary food to avoid tooth decay. Gargle your mouth thoroughly after every meal. Scrub gently to clean your tongue with a tongue cleaner. Floss all your teeth inter dentally & brush twice daily, morning & night, up & down short vertical strokes, with ultra-soft bristles, indicator brush. Tooth brush to be changed every 2 months.
