Improve Your Posture Before it’s too Late

A good posture makes you stand tall. The right body posture is crucial for a healthy and strong, disease-free body. A correct body posture can help to alleviate all kinds of problems that might arise due to the practice of wrong posture such as chronic neck pain, back pain, and headache among others. Here’s how to avoid some of the common posture blunders:

1. Hunchback

You may know that sitting for long hours is bad for your health, but sitting hunched over the computer screen is especially harmful for your spine. When you’re in this posture, the chest muscles of your body tighten causing the top of the spinal column to form a C-shape. This can lead to pain in the back, shoulder and neck. To prevent your spine from curving in this manner, you can do the bhujangasana pose to strengthen your back.

2. Forward head

Likewise, sitting in a stooped manner in front of the computer can cause the problem of forward head and associated neck pain. Performing head nods on a daily basis can provide respite from the ache. For this, move your head towards the neck until your chin touches your neck. Hold on to this position for 5 seconds before going back to your original position. Repeat as needed.

3. Rounded shoulders

Intense training of the chest muscles or typing while not sitting straight can cause your shoulders to swivel forward, leading to rounded shoulders. This can prevent your arms from working at their full capacity while running or hamper your breathing ability while performing strenuous activities. One of the ways that you can fix this postural blunder is by doing some stretching exercises to relax your chest muscles.This workout can be easily done anywhere, as all you need is a doorway. Position your arms against one side of the doorway with your elbows bent at 90 degrees. Then, stretch your chest and shoulder muscles by placing your foot through the doorway. Hold the posture for about 30 seconds Whether your postural problem is mild or severe, it can affect your overall health and performance.

Wrong posture can cause you to experience skeletal system disorders such as kyphosis (outward curving of the spine) or lordosis (inward curving of the spine). If not corrected in time, the wrong body posture can also impact your self-confidence.

For weight loss you need to take a balanced diet. Diet depends on persons physical condition. Calorie burn will vary between individuals, but a woman of around 60 kg will burn 472 . Being weight bearing, running is also good for building up bone strength, . Up slowly – either with one run a week alongside other exercise or switching .

Hi Doctor i'm 24 years old. I Have Ringworm Infection on my legs & Jock Itch in my groin area from past 4-5 months , i didn't know it was ringworm infection till recently. Hello, ringworm is a contagious itching skin disease occurring in small circular patches, caused by any of a number of fungi. Take a single dose of tuberculinum 200ch, 5 drops, from the next day take tellurium 30, 5 drops once daily. Apply topi azadirachta ointment. A good personal hygiene helps prevent the spread of ringworm. Do not wear wet clothes, tight clothes, do wear loose cotton clothes. Revert after 7 days.

The things that you can do to be physically fit are: 1. Start cardiovascular exercises like running, jogging, cycling etc. 2. Avoid carbohydrates and fats. 3. Avoid processed and junk foods. 4. Start exercising. Both body weight exercises like push ups, pull ups, squats and weight training in the gym is helpful. 5. Stay hydrated. 6. Have a light dinner. 7. Evening walk is always recommended. 8. Green veggies complete your nutrient requirements. 9. Consume all types of protein both from veg and non veg sources. 10. Sleep well.

You can take(If No drug allergy) : 1. The coughs due to change in season or in specific season may be due to allergies, most commonly due to pollen allergens in air in specific season. To confirm the exact cause of allergies you may undergo allergy testing (skin prick tests) and meanwhile can also use anti-allergy drugs (antihistamines) after consulting a doctor. If you also get symptoms of breathing difficulty and musical sounds while breathing from the chest along with cough you might be said to have allergic airways involvement also, which has also to be confirmed by visit to a chest physician.

At the age of 8, I was suffered due to Malaria Fever. I was given orally Quinine Subsequently Hearing capacity in both ears reduced. Ear operation was done at the age of 20. But no use. I would suggest you to consult ent specialist for proper examination. Doctor may order ct scan, blood test, examination with otoscope. Doctor may prescribe antibiotics (amoxicillin or penicillin), anti inflammatory medications. Doctor can recommend you surgery. You should use hearing aid as that is the best treatment possible. For now apply warm dry compresses, start taking ginkgo biloba supplement and drink green tea thrice a day. Hope your concern has been resolved. Get well soon.
