Hi doctor's, I having weight 58 kg & height 5'6" I am facing problem of head pain only half head of right side & only...
there can be many causes to this like migraine/ trigeminal neuralgia or simple refractive error or eye muscle weakness. i suggest you show to an ophthalmologist for complete eye examination under slit lamp, get your refraction and orthoptics done to rule out eye power or muscle weakness. if these are negative, then you must show to a physician/neurologist for migraine or cluster headache etc.

Dear in this age group, you have the choice of using either spectacles or contact lenses. After the age of 19 and when power does not change for one year, you can undergo laser.

Hi. I problem in eye sight, while driving in night. My eyes are blurred. And while setting in my mobile at night time tears are coming.

Hi. I problem in eye sight, while driving in night. My eyes are blurred. And while setting in my mobile at night time...
There are multiple causes responsible for diminution/ blurring of vision. Let me enumerate them in brief for you: (1) refractive error. This is one of the commonest reasons responsible. Minus or plus number in one eye or both eyes may be responsible for weak/ blurred vision. The solution for this is glasses/ contact lens/ refractive surgery (if applicable). It should be checked by a trained optometrist/ ophthalmologist and proper glasses should be prescribed. (2) cornea related problem: injury, degeneration, infections or inflammation occurring on the cornea tend to causes loss of transparency and lead to weakening of vision. These should be assessed preferably by a cornea specialist and treated appropriately. (3) cataract in the lens of the eye: this usually occurs with increasing age but in some cases may occur at a younger age. There are multiple systemic factors responsible (eg. Diabetes, increased cholesterol levels, etc) injury to the eye may also cause cataract. This should be assessed and treated appropriately by a cataract specialist. (4) retina/ vitreous problems: these occur due to a variety of reasons such as high minus numbers, diabetes, trauma, etc. These issues are best assessed and treated by a retina specialist. There are good quality surgical options available for the same. (5) optic nerve related problems: these may occur due to raised eye pressure (glaucoma), or occur in association with certain conditions related to the brain and the blood vessels. These are best assessed by a retina/ glaucoma specialist (whichever applicable). (6) neurological problems: certain problems in the brain and the central nervous system tend to cause weakening/ blurring of vision. These are best assessed by an eye specialist in concordance with a neurologist and a neurosurgeon if required. Thus, based on the category you fall under, it would be necessary to take appropriate help and treatment. From the symptoms described by you, it seems more likely to be a case of allergy. Maintaining the precautions and hygiene that I mentioned should probably work well for you. You could also use a lubricant eye drop along with an anti-histamine eye drop. (3-4 times daily) hope my suggestions helped you. Let me know if you require further assistance. Take care. Regards.

What is MOTIYABIND ? CAN IT BE CURED BY MEDICINES AT EARLY STAGE WITHOUT OPERATION ?

Phaco Development Program, Fellowship in Pediatric Ophthalmology, DNB Ophtalmology, MBBS
Ophthalmologist, Mysore
Motiyabind in english is known as cataract. Within the eye there is a natural lens. It is transparent. As we age the lens looses its transparency and become cloudy. This is known as cataract/motiyabind. As of now there are no medicines that can cure this condition even if it is in early stage. It is advisable for a patient with cataract to undergo surgery. With the latest advances the cataract surgery is virtually painless. So do not hesitate to undergo cataract surgery if your eye specialist advises it.

I have dark circles around my eyes and I am also have pimples around my face what should l do?

I have dark circles around my eyes and I am also have pimples around my face what should l do?
Hi, Acne and dark circles can be reduced or controlled by including some habits in your daily life style. 1. Keep your skin clean – Wash your face daily with an oil control face wash. You can also use a good AHA glow face wash that not only controls oil but also removes dead skin and bacteria. By shedding the old dead skin, your skin feels rejuvenated and clean. Apply a good toner, like tea tree toner after washing your face. After toning, apply an oil free and non- comedogenic cream on face. Last but not the least, apply a good sunscreen with minimum 30 spf daily. 1.Face packs – Occasionally apply good oil controlling face packs. Multani mitti + Lemon + yogurt is a good face packs for oily skin beauties. You can apply organic apple cider for 5 minutes after washing your face to kill the bacteria that clogs your pores. Green Tea can also be used as a toner once a day. 2.Diet – Most important thing is diet. Eat fresh fruits and green leafy vegetables daily. Reduce junk food intake, colas, alcohol and soda and consume whole grains. Keeping your digestive system healthy keeps your body and blood toxins free. Drink green tea, lemon juice, orange juice and food items containing Vitamin C as it is responsible for maintaining good skin health. Drink at least 10 glasses of water every day. 3.Exercise – Exercises, yoga, suryanamaskar improves the blood circulation and balances hormones. They keep skin healthy and boost body’s immunity to deal with several issues and not just acne. Include it in your daily regime.

Exercising Tips for Good Eye Health

FICO, DNB Ophtalmology

Exercising Tips for Good Eye Health

While taking corrective measures like opting for glasses, contact lens or eye surgery is fine to improve eye health, certain exercises are equally beneficial.
Here are some effective exercises, which can prove to be highly beneficial to improve your eye health:

  1. Figure of eight: This exercise helps in strengthening the eye muscles and provides flexibility. In this exercise, you need to imagine a huge eight in front of your eyes. Slowly turn the 8 on its side. With the help of your eyes slowly trace the figure of 8. Repeat it the other way after a few minutes.4.
  2. Deep blinking: This is also an incredibly useful exercise for distance vision. What you have to do is to place some large letters are at a fair distance and then sit on a chair. You have to then close your eyes and tighten all your muscles for 5 seconds. After 5 seconds are over, you have to open your eyes and then you have to see the letters for a second or two. The more number of times you do this, the more clearly you will be able to see the letters after reopening your eyes. However, these eye exercises are not universally accepted by all doctors.
  3. Flexing: This is simply rotating your eyes in circles. Roll your eyes in the clockwise direction for one minute and then roll your eyes in the anticlockwise direction for one minute.
  4. Stretching: This is the most common and also one of the easiest to do. It requires you to just look up, hold for two seconds, look down, hold for two seconds and then repeat this procedure for each corner of your eye, which means top-left, top-right, bottom-left and bottom-right corners.
