For weight gain first thing that is important is appetite. U can improve this with regular exercise like walking. For weight gain hv foods that are calorie dense like dried fruits ,seeds, nuts, peanut butter, cream,butter, cows ghee. Granola.Have full fat milk and it's products. Make good use of healthy oils in diet like flax seed oil, olive oil. Have meals 5- 6 times daily.

I have had PCOS. My doctor put me on metformin for a year. I lost so much of weight and maintaining a healthy routine. I recently left that drug but now my stomach is bloated and I am having stomach cramps. I am having this feeling whole day. I am also feeling weak and sleepy.

To avoid bloating have small frequent meals. Avoid cruciferous vegetables like cauliflower, cabbage, brassica etc. Have raw fruits and vegetables to avoid constipation. For pcos your diet should hv predominance of fruits, seeds like flax seeds, methi seeds, pumpkin seeds, chia seeds and veggies. Avoid sugar and starchy foods as insulin resistance may be there.

To have a protein rich Diet, incorporate milk, milk products like yogurts, smoothies, milk shakes, soyabean and legumes in your diet. Supplement milk with cereal, dal with cereal to get complete protein. U can also take saffola activ milk shakes, in your diet and also add a whey protein and casein protein supplement to diet. Go for strength training and not cardio to get muscle mass. To in crease weight start having balanced regular meals rich in carbs and protein.

My age is 52. My height is 5.10. My weight is 91 Kgs. I do Kapalbhati. 25 Min Stretching 15 Min Crunches. 10 Min Walking 30 Min About 4000 steps average I am diabetic with fasting sugar of 100 Average. I want reduce my weight. I am vegetarian. Alcoholic beverages Consumption is about 360 Ml in a week approximate. I do not smoke. Please suggest my workout is enough or I need to do more. My typical meal is 2 Chapatis in morning with cooked Vegetables. Lunch is some Sprouts/Kaabuli Chana boiled and a small sweet. Dinner is again 2 Chapatis with cooked Vegetables or Daal. I have about 4 to 5 cups of tea everyday. I want reduce by about 15 Kgs.

Hi, Lybrate-user you are a Diabetic so you need to decrease the consumption of simple sugar in your diet, increase proteins and finer. So completely remove white sugar and foods containing it if you want to lose weight. You should cut down on chappatis at night and instead take just Dal and vegetables cooked in minimal oil. Cut down on all fried foods and have small frequent meals. Do not add sugar to tea and instead of normal tea have green or yellow tea. Follow a customised diet plan for weight reduction.

It is important to understand the cause of overweight before suggesting a diet plan. Moreover it is based on your vital statistics. General guidelines are to reduce sugar and fat in diet. Increase fibre in diet and eat small frequent meals. For a customised diet plan you can take my consultation.

Exercise alone cannot help u.It has to be a healthy combination of diet and exercise. Avoid large meals, hv meals every 3- 4 hours. Do not skip meals. Increade fibre and reduce sugar in diet. Contact for personalised diet consultation.

Yes it is perfectly safe for the baby. It will in fact hydrate your body and clear it of toxins so it would ensure regular supply of toxins free clean milk to baby. For hyperacidity a bland diet is the answer. Stop all fried foods and avoid spicy food especially red pepper. Jv small frequent meal pattern and never leave the stomach empty for long periods. Hv milk, matha,banana, curd,white of egg in diet.
