I have several problem with my BP. Sometime it become high and sometime low. What can I do for that.

I have several problem with my BP. Sometime it become high and sometime low. What can I do for that.
Hello, Take Schwabe’s Essentia Aurea/ thrice daily which is a cardio-tonic which helps in maintaining blood pressure, improves muscle tone of the heart and narrowing of blood vessels. Few lifestyle changes can help you in controlling and preventing the high blood pressure, even if you're taking blood pressure medication. Eat healthy foods. Consume more fruits, vegetables, whole grains, poultry, fish and low-fat dairy foods. Eat less saturated fat and trans fat. Decrease the salt in your diet. So, avoid eating processed foods, such as canned soups or frozen dinners which contains extra salt in it. Keeping a healthy weight, or losing weight if you're overweight or obese, can help you control your high blood pressure and lower your risk of related health problems. Increase physical activity which can help lowering your blood pressure, manage stress, reduce your risk of several health problems. Get indulged in regular exercising (if your doctor allows you). Limit alcohol. Even if you're healthy, alcohol can raise your blood pressure. If you choose to drink alcohol, do so in moderation. Don't smoke. Tobacco injures blood vessel walls and speeds up the process of hardening of the arteries. Reduce stress as much as possible. Practice healthy coping techniques, such as muscle relaxation, deep breathing or meditation. Getting regular physical activity and plenty of sleep can help, too. Monitor your blood pressure at home.

My mom are facing problem of kidney stone, diabetes and high BP problem please suggest some good diet.

DHMS (Diploma in Homeopathic Medicine and Surgery)
Homeopath, Ludhiana
My mom are facing problem of kidney stone, diabetes and high BP problem please suggest some good diet.
To help manage your diabetes and BP, your meals need to be:--- •Regular and spread evenly throughout the day-- •Lower in fat, particularly saturated fat------------ •If you take insulin or diabetes tablets, you may need to have between meal snacks------- Matching the amount of food you eat with the amount you burn up each day is important. Not putting too much fuel in your body (keeping food intake to moderate serves) is vital to getting the right balance. Along with healthy eating, regular physical activity can help you to manage your blood glucose levels, reduce your blood fats (cholesterol and triglycerides) and maintain a healthy weight. ----------------------. It is important to recognise that one diet does not fit everyone with diabetes. So my slogan for all diabetics is-------------'One Diet does Not Fit All'------------------------ So your mother should consult a dietician in physical to plan a way according to her body weight, activities and tastes and requirements. Only then can you control your blood sugar levels and BP problem--------

Most probably the surgery must have been by key hole method giving minimum cuts and trauma. Your doctor has suggested you to eat everything except fats. Trust him. Bad fats are not good for anyone, not even a 10 years old kid. After gall bladder surgery the appetite becomes better as there is no fear of pain after eating. Eat whatever you like but do reduce your weight the healthy way by eating right and exercising according to your constitution and physique. Walking is best exercise which is meditative too. Drink warm liquids more often as gall bladder juice-bile has no reservoir now as gall bladder is removed and bile is flowing constantly in the food pipe. Take warm water with honey, green tea, clear soups, plain warm water more often to wash away the acid and bile juice in stomach. Hope you know about bad fats. Let me repeat-street food and trans fats present in packed foods. But do take good fats like a spoon of pure ghee/butter + katori of assorted nuts everyday. Seasonal vegetables and fruits-lots drink a glass of warm water with fresh lemon juice + spoon of honey on empty stomach in morning-it does burn fats and extra sugars. Say no to empty calories like sugar and sweets, fizzy cold drinks, packed juices. Eat fresh fruits. If worried about heart get basic tests done like ecg, echo, stress test, blood test for sugar & total lipids. Get back here with reports and progress of weight loss. Only 10 kgs need to be shed @ 5 kg /month.

You need to get a holter monitoring test done and if it confirms slowwing of hear rate and developing of complete hear block you will need to get a pacemaker installed.

How to control blood pressure? Please share basic information. Change food habit's.
In a prehypertensive individual, the following things have to be taken care of: 1) Tobacco: While the major effects of tobacco are in the development of atherosclerotic heart disease, its role in the management of hypertension cannot be forgotten. The pressure effect of tobacco is so strong that the blood pressure comes down immediately after stoppage of smoking. Tobacco is one of the agents that induce clustering of risk factors. 2) Body weight: Lowering of excess body weight can lower blood pressure. In one of the studies, it was found that decrease of 1 kg of body weight is associated with an average fall of 1.6 mmHg. Indeed, in many instances, it would be possible to discontinue medications after effective weight control. 3) Dietary Sodium: Restriction of dietary sodium is one of the most useful methods of controlling hypertension. This fact should be emphasized, because of the increasing use of fast foods, which have high salt content. It is admitted that it cannot be achieved easily. Norman Kaplan, a renowned cardiologist, gives the following practical suggestions. Do not add salt during cooking or at the table. Sodium consumption should be less than 1500 mg per day, an average individual consumes 8 to 10 times more sodium than required. If salt is desired, add half sodium and half potassium chloride preparations. Avoid fast foods. Be careful about the sodium content of some medications and specifically read the labels indicating sodium content in your food. 4) Alcohol: Alcohol consumption of more than 30 mL of ethanol is found to increase blood pressure. Hence, moderation is recommended. One of the major hazards of drinking is the usual associated consumption of high salt savories, which is an unseen source of salt. Instead, use less salted food. 5) Exercise: Regular physical exercise has been found to induce reduction in blood pressure. Strenuous exercise should be done 45 minutes a day for at least six days a week.

Saturated fat is not the cause of heart disease.Infection is the cause of heart disease. Omega6 is the major culprit

You are bothered about a weak heart, I would not suggest a cardiac check up, because symptom mentioned is only heart beat that increases suddenly, this happens to all of us, specially boys of your age with stress of college/ job or both, if not do 2 things at a time-work and study. Normal heart beat of an athletic person / gymn going / exercising regularly is low - 60- 70 resting. In people who do not have any kind of exercise, slight worry / climbing stairs / excitement of a tv show like cricket increases to 100 + and resting pulse is around 80. You do not have a weak heart according to the symptom mentioned by you. If you need more guidance, you can reply on this forum with more details so that if need be some basic tests can be done, just to reassure you.
