One of the main causes of foot pain is wearing shoes that do not fit properly. You can also develop foot pain if you are injured during high-impact exercise or sport activities, such as jogging or intense aerobics.
There are a few general tips that can help relieve your discomfort. These include:
1. Applying ice to the affected area
2. Taking an over-the-counter pain reliever
3. Using foot pads to prevent rubbing on the affected area
3. Keeping the foot that is causing you pain elevated
4. Resting your foot as much as possible
you can take many measures to help prevent ongoing foot pain. For example:
1. Choose comfortable, roomy, and well-cushioned shoes
2. Avoid shoes with large heels and narrow toe areas
3. Maintain a healthy weight
4. Stretch before engaging in vigorous exercise
5. Practice good foot hygiene
6. Always wear some type of footwear when outdoors to protect your feet.
Please consult a physiotherapist nearby to find out the root cause and to apply physiotherapy modalities and exercises to reduce your pain.

I am sorry about your sufferings. Take equal quantity of turmeric, fenugreek (Methi) and dried ginger powder. Mix them well and store in a cleaned jar. Take one tea-spoon powder mixed in a glass of warm water on empty stomach twice a day with water after meal until you feel better. Secondly, if you are constipated, correct your bowel movements and reduce weight, if obese. Avoid icing your knee and tie up your knee with crepe bandage. Finally, apply little pressure on the second joint of your middle finger from the nail using your thumb and index finger of other hand. You will observe severe and crucifying pain on that particular joint. This joint resembles knee in Sujok Therapy. Keep applying pressure intermittently on the prescribed joint in rotating motion for 15 minutes twice a day and within few days you will feel better. Apply pain relieving cream/gel also. Give hot water fomentation added with cooking salt and lemon juice to the affected area twice a day. Knee pains are very complicated symptoms and should not be left unattended. Also, seek your doctorâs advice for your disorder. If the pain is due to calcium deficiency, take calcium supplements. Take care and be in good health.

Massage with your thumbs from the mid points of the shoulder blades on both sides towards the lower back of your head up to lower level of the ears. Use oil or water for massage. Rotate your head clockwise and anticlockwise, forward and down, left and right a few times. Do for 5 to 10 times morning and evening.
Give pressure the dipping point on the portion between the thumb and the index finger on the back of the palm. Press and release for 15 times where the pain is more. This will solve the problem. Further do some wrist rotation exercise. Consult after 5 days. For further guidance and treatment.

Hello,
It is unusual for her to actually get a radiating kind of pain in her upper limbs at this age.
In my opinion a detailed evaluation from a Neurophysician or a Spinal surgeon can actually tell us whether there is any compression of a nerve anywhere along the course.
Also apart from pain, does she also have Neck pain, any other neurological symptoms like numbness, paresthesias ( Electric shock like sensations, burning sensations etc) also present?
Do not hesitate to contact me with all investigations / SOS
Thanks & Regards
Dr Akshay

Dear lybrate user,
Most of the time the clicking or snapping is due to everyday use and changes that occur naturally within our joints. As we age this causes some of the surfaces to roughen —thus when they rub against one another they will snap, click, or pop within the shoulder. In the majority of circumstances snapping or clicking of the joints is not an issue to worry about. Painless clicking and popping usually does not require any treatment at all.

Diabetologist,
The symptoms you are describing sounds like neuropathy. Although diabetes being the commonest cause, you can also find this in other conditions such as vitamin B deficiency, alcohol can also be the cause if it is consumed excessively over a long period of time, thyroid problems, etc. Sometimes, you may not be able to find the exact cause of the symptoms and in such cases, you treat the condition as idiopathic with symptom relieving medications.
I would suggest you to get some blood test done to rule out the cause.
